A battery pack includes: a cell stack; a first duct and a second duct configured to feed cooling air toward the cell stack; and a housing case. The first duct and the second duct extend in a first direction and are spaced apart from each other in a second direction, the first direction being parallel to a front-back direction of a vehicle in a mounted state in which the battery pack is mounted on the vehicle, the second direction being parallel to a width direction of the vehicle in the mounted state. The first duct is arranged on an outer side of the cell stack on one side in the second direction, and the second duct is arranged on an outer side of the cell stack on the other side in the second direction.

Battery pack

A cooling apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a pump, a radiator, a flow rate adjustment valve, a bypass passage, and a controller. The flow rate adjustment valve includes a valve member that rotates to change an open degree of the flow rate adjustment valve and a valve member biasing component that biases the valve member in a valve-closing direction in which the open degree decreases. The valve member rotates in a valve-opening direction in which the open degree increases when a pressure difference increases between positions upstream and downstream of the valve member in a flow direction of coolant in the circulation circuit and rotate in the valve-closing direction when the pressure difference decreases. The controller increases the pump discharge amount as a target radiator flow rate that is a target of an amount of coolant passing through the radiator increases.

Cooling apparatus for internal combustion engine

A cooling apparatus includes a circulation circuit, a pump, a flow rate adjustment valve, and a controller. The flow rate adjustment valve includes a valve member that rotates to change an open degree of the flow rate adjustment valve and a stopper that moves between a restriction position and a retraction position. The controller is configured to execute, when maintaining the open degree of the flow rate adjustment, a preparatory process of moving the stopper to the restriction position after arranging the stopper at the retraction position and arranging the valve member further in the valve-closing direction than the stopper through control of the pump discharge amount.

A control device for an onboard engine is configured to control the oil discharge pressure of an oil pump and execute, when determining that there may be an abnormality in the control of the oil discharge pressure, a change process that increases the target discharge pressure to a value that is greater than that before it is determined that there may be an abnormality in the control. When a discharge pressure sensor value in a situation in which the discharge pressure is being controlled based on the target discharge pressure increased through execution of the change process does not become greater than or equal to a discharge pressure threshold, the control device sets an upper limit for the engine rotation speed and increases the upper limit as the discharge pressure sensor value increases.

Control device and control method for onboard engine

A cooling device includes an inner passage, an outer passage, an engine-driven pump, an electromagnetic control valve, and a driving circuit that regulates current flowing through the electromagnetic control valve by activating and deactivating a switching element. A cooling controller for the cooling device includes a processing circuit configured to execute an operation process for operating, when the engine-driven pump is driven, the switching element by setting a duty cycle of an activation time to a switching cycle, which is a reciprocal of a switching frequency of the switching element, to be a larger value when a temperature of the internal combustion engine is low than when the temperature is high and a cycle varying process for setting a longer switching cycle when the temperature of the internal combustion engine is less than a preset temperature than when the temperature is greater than or equal to the preset temperature.

Cooling controller and control method for cooling device

A flow passage device includes a circulation flow passage, a swing valve provided in the circulation flow passage, an energizing part, and a lock mechanism including a lock pin. The lock pin is configured so as to hinder the swing valve from opening, and to allow the swing valve to open. The swing valve is configured so as to rotate from a first valve position to a second valve position. The lock mechanism is configured so as to set a locked state and to set an unlocked state. The lock pin is configured so as to protrude as being energized by pressure of the fluid on an upstream side of the swing valve, and to retract as being energized by pressure of the fluid on a downstream side of the swing valve.

Flow passage device and engine cooling system

A vehicle includes: a floor panel; and a battery pack mounted under the floor panel. The battery pack includes: a plurality of cell stacks; a housing case including a bottom portion and configured to house the plurality of cell stacks; and a plurality of support members provided on the bottom portion and spaced apart from one another. When a front region, a central region and a rear region are defined in a bottom view of the housing case, a ratio of a total area where the support member is provided in the central region to an area of the central region is higher than a ratio of a total area where the support member is provided in the rear region to an area of the rear region.

A battery pack is mounted under a floor panel. A case of the battery pack includes a case tray. On an inner surface of a bottom plate of the case tray, plural internal pack crosses are provided. On an outer surface of the bottom plate of the case tray, plural external pack crosses are provided. An internal pack cross front flange is fastened to an external pack cross rear flange that is arranged in front of the internal pack cross in the vehicle longitudinal direction in a state of matching the external pack cross rear flange in the vehicle longitudinal direction. An external pack cross front flange is fastened to an internal pack cross rear flange that is arranged in front of the external pack cross in the vehicle longitudinal direction in a state of matching the internal pack cross rear flange in the vehicle longitudinal direction.

Vehicle lower structure

A battery pack includes: a plurality of cell stacks; a housing case configured to house the plurality of cell stacks; and a support member configured to allow a rear cross member provided in a vehicle to support the housing case, the housing case including a rear portion directed to a rear side of the vehicle in a mounted state in which the battery pack is mounted on the vehicle, the support member extending in an up-down direction and being fixed to the housing case from an outer side of the housing case so as to face the rear portion.

Cooling liquid circulation device for internal combustion engine

In a temperature adjusting structure for an electric power storage device as well as in a temperature adjusting method for an electric power storage device, a temperature adjusting air that exchanges heat with a case in which an electric power generation element is housed is guided in a longitudinal direction of a circulation path. Then, a vortex flow that swirls with the longitudinal direction being a rotational axis is generated in the air that flows through the circulation path, and the vortex flow is brought into contact with a lateral surface of the case.

Temperature adjusting structure and temperature adjusting method for electric power storage device

In a temperature regulation structure according to the invention, the power storage element includes a power generation element for charging and discharging, and has a case body having an opening portion for incorporating the power generation element, and a lid that closes up the opening portion of the case body. Air for temperature regulation that comes into contact with the power storage element is supplied from a direction substantially perpendicular to a bottom face of the case body, which is opposed to the lid across the power generation element. The temperature of the power storage element can be efficiently regulated by bringing the air for temperature regulation into contact with the bottom face of the case body.

Temperature regulation structure

A connection unit of the present invention includes: a rail member extending in a direction where a plurality of storage elements is aligned; and a plurality of bus bar units each including an engagement portion movable along the rail member in the predetermined direction, and a bus bar fixed to electrode terminals of the storage elements adjacent to each other in the predetermined direction and connected to the engagement portion. The plurality of bus bar units engages with the rail member so as to be aligned in the predetermined direction, and the bus bar units adjacent to each other are provided so as to be movable independently along the predetermined direction. Entire assembly tolerance in the plurality of storage elements aligned in the predetermined direction can be absorbed (permitted) by adjusting distances between the independent bus bar units, thereby making it possible to easily assemble the plurality of bus bars.

Connection unit

An assembled battery is formed by combining battery modules. Each battery module includes at least one battery cell and a rectangular box-shaped case that accommodates the at least one battery cell. The battery modules include a first battery module and a second battery module located adjacent to each other. The case of each of the first battery module and the second battery module includes an opposing side surface that is opposed to one of the first battery module and the second battery module. Each opposing side surface includes projections, which are laid out in rows, and ribs, which extend parallel to the layout direction of the projections. The ribs are smaller in height than the first projections. The ribs include connection ribs that connect the projections located in a predetermined range in the layout direction of the projections.

Battery module and assembled battery

A vehicle includes a motor serving as a driving source for running the vehicle, and a high-power assembled battery and a high-capacity assembled battery each capable of supplying an electric power to the motor and placed in a luggage space. The high-power assembled battery is capable of charge and discharge with a current relatively larger than that in the high-capacity assembled battery. The high-capacity assembled battery has an energy capacity relatively larger than that of the high-power assembled battery and has a higher dependence of battery characteristic on temperature than that of the high-power assembled battery. The high-capacity assembled battery is placed over the high-power assembled battery in the vehicle.
