Card reader

Provided are a disturbing magnetic field generator and a card reader capable of suppressing the generation of noise caused by vibration of a core. A disturbing magnetic field generator that generates a disturbing magnetic field for disturbing unauthorized reading of magnetic data recorded on a card includes a coil to generate the disturbing magnetic field, a bobbin including a tubular body part in which the coil is wound on an outer peripheral side, and a core disposed inside the tubular body part. A first gap is provided between the tubular body part and the core.

Disturbing magnetic field generator and card reader

A magnetic jammer for a card reader and structured to generate a magnetic field for jamming illegal reading of magnetic data stored on a card may include a core including magnetic material; a coil wound around the core and structured to generate a jamming magnetic field; a case accommodating the core and the coil; and a resin sealant filling the inside of the case and covering the core and the coil. The core and the coil may be disposed apart from an inner face of the case such that the core and the coil do not come into contact with the inner face of the case. A portion of the resin sealant may be disposed between the core and the inner face of the case and between the coil and the inner face of the case.

Magnetic jammer and card reader

A card reader may include a card insertion port; a card passage; and a disturbing magnetic field generator. The disturbing magnetic field generator may include a first disturbing magnetic field generation part and a second disturbing magnetic field generation part which are disposed so as to interpose the card passage. The first disturbing magnetic field generation part may include a first core formed of magnetic material and a coil wound around the first core, and the second disturbing magnetic field generation part may include a second core formed of magnetic material and a coil wound around the second core.

A card reader may include a card insertion port; a card passage; and a disturbing magnetic field generator. The disturbing magnetic field generator may include a core part including a core formed and a disturbing magnetic field generation coil wound around the core. The core part may include a first end face and a second end face which are disposed so as to face substantially the front side. The disturbing magnetic field generator may generate a disturbing magnetic field whose flux line changes into a direction from the first end face toward the second end face and a direction from the second end face toward the first end face. The direction of the magnetic flux lines are substantially parallel to the passing direction of the card. In a width and thickness direction of the card, the magnetic flux line crosses a position where the magnetic stripe is passed.
