Provided is a head cover structure of an engine, which is capable of increasing supporting rigidity of a head cover. The engine includes a driving force transmission mechanism for transmitting a driving force of a crankshaft to a valve train, in which on one end side in a cylinder row direction of the head cover, a bulging portion for covering an upper side of the driving force transmission mechanism is provided, and an engine mounting portion is attached to the bulging portion. The bulging portion is provided with an inclined surface portion having an inclined surface inclined downwardly toward the other end side in the cylinder row direction, and the inclined surface is formed to rise upwardly from an intermediate position in the cylinder row direction so as to be continuous with a top surface of the bulging portion on the one end side in the cylinder row direction.

Head cover structure of engine and suspension structure thereof

A cooling structure of an internal combustion engine includes a cylinder block, an inner-block coolant passage, a cylinder head, and an inner-head coolant passage. In the cylinder block, cylinders are provided in a row in a cylinder row direction. The inner-head coolant passage is provided in the cylinder head and includes a main coolant passage, an upper exhaust side coolant passage, and a lower exhaust side coolant passage. The main coolant passage is provided above combustion chambers and extends in the cylinder row direction so that a coolant flows into the main coolant passage from the inner-block coolant passage at a first end side of the cylinder head in the cylinder row direction and so that the coolant flows out from the main coolant passage at a second end side of the cylinder head opposite to the first end side in the cylinder row direction.

Cooling structure of internal combustion engine

Provided is a head cover structure of an engine, which is capable of increasing supporting rigidity of a head cover. An oil passage structure of a dry sump engine includes an oil recovery passage, at least one first communicating hole, and a first oil suction passage. The oil recovery passage extends in a direction in which a cylinder bank extends and is disposed so that at least part of the oil recovery passage is located outward of an external lower end portion of a valve gear chamber of a cylinder head along a junction between a side wall portion of the cylinder head and a bottom surface of the valve gear chamber in a state where the dry sump engine is mounted on a vehicle in an inclined manner. The at least one first communicating hole is provided in the side wall portion so as to connect the valve gear chamber of the cylinder head and the oil recovery passage.

Oil passage structure of dry sump engine and oil passage structure of V-shaped dry sump engine

A holding structure of an oil control valve includes an oil control valve, a cam holder, and a head cover. A valve portion is provided on a second end side of the oil control valve opposite to a first end side in a longitudinal direction. The valve portion is configured to switch oil passages by driving a solenoid portion and has a drain hole at a shaft end portion of the valve portion. The cam holder is attached to a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and rotatably supports a camshaft of the internal combustion engine. A valve portion side of the oil control valve is embedded in the cam holder and supported by the cam holder. An axis of the oil control valve in the longitudinal direction is oriented towards the camshaft. The head cover is provided on an upper portion of the cylinder head.
