A connection setting apparatus having a connection information acquiring unit for acquiring first connection information from a plurality of apparatus connected to a network, each apparatus having at least one line, and a generating unit for generating second connection information in accordance with the acquired first connection information.

Connection setting apparatus

In a communication system capable of establishing synchronization among a plurality of communication apparatuses, a master node transmits a WC packet including a system time and a sample count to a transmission node and a reception node. The transmission node transmits a data packet to the reception node while establishing synchronization by using the WC packet. The reception node processes the received data packet while establishing synchronization by using the WC packet.

Synchronous communication

A communication control apparatus is provided for setting a plurality of node apparatuses to either of a transmitter and a receiver of synchronization information to synchronize the node apparatuses with each other. A storage device memorizes capability information representing either of an active capability to transmit the synchronization information and a passive capability to receive the synchronization information, owned by each of the node apparatuses. An indicating device indicates the active capabilities and the passive capabilities owned by the node apparatuses. A specifying device is operated in association with the indicated active capabilities and the passive capabilities for outputting status information effective to specify each node apparatus to a transmitter or a receiver. A plurality of memory blocks are provided in correspondence to the plurality of the node apparatuses to memorize status information. A registering device registers each of the outputted status information into each memory block to set the corresponding node apparatus to a transmitter of the synchronization information when the status information specifies the transmitter, and to set the corresponding node apparatus to a receiver of the synchronization information when the status information specifies the receiver.

Method of determining master and slaves by communication capability of network nodes

A communications apparatus having: a communication cable receptacle having signal terminals and power supply terminals for connection to a communication cable having signal lines and power supply lines; a communication interface for transferring a signal to and from an external via the signal terminals of the communication cable receptacle; and one or a plurality of light emitting elements capable of emitting light, the light emitting element being disposed near the communication cable receptacle, being selectively connected to the power supply terminals of the communication cable receptacle, and being capable of displaying at least one of a communication state, a state of the apparatus, an alarm state, and a connection state of the apparatus while receiving a power from the communication cable via the power supply terminals.

Communications apparatus with light emitting elements

In transmitting a plurality of data arranged in a time series of a first period (T), there is formed, every predetermined second period (SF) longer than the first period (T), a packet containing a plural number (x) of data supplied within a given cycle of the second period (SF). At that time, one data is specified from among every group consisting of a fixed number (M), not smaller than two, of the data, and time information indicative of a time position of the specified data is attached to the packet which the data belong to. A receiving-end unit reproduces the data, by reproducing the respective time positions, i.e., the first period (T), of the individual data on the basis of the time information contained in the received packet.

Data communication method and system

A record and reproduction controlling device is connected to a hard disk memory via a bus. This controlling device receives from a computer information necessary for read/write operation, on the basis of which the controlling device performs its own process to write to or read from the hard disk. The record and reproduction controlling device temporarily stores tone data read out from the hard disk memory into a first buffer memory and then transfers the tone data from the first buffer memory to a second buffer memory. The tone data thus stored in the second memory is then read out at a predetermined readout rate to reproduce a musical sound. It is possible to select either a first reproduction mode for reproducing a data file having tone data of plural channels recorded in an interleaved state, or a second reproduction mode for permitting a simultaneous reproduction of plural data files each having not-interleaved tone data recorded therein. The controlling device controls the tone data transfer from the first buffer memory to the second buffer memory depending on which of the reproduction modes is employed.

Tone data recording and reproducing device

A digital audio synchronous player includes a memory, a first reading circuit, a second reading circuit, a word clock signal generating circuit, and synchronizing signal generating circuit. The memory stores audio data having a plurality of words which represent digitally recorded audio signals, together with data relating to recording conditions. The first reading circuit reads out said audio data stored in said memory. The second reading circuit reads out said data relating to recording conditions stored in said memory. The word clock signal generating circuit generates a word clock signal each time a number of words of said audio data read by said first reading circuit reaches a value determined based on said data relating to recording conditions read by said second reading circuit. The synchronizing signal generating circuit generates a synchronizing signal based on said word clock signal.

Digital audio synchronous player

At least two sets of filter coefficients corresponding to different filter characteristics are interpolated by using a control signal for controlling tone color as a parameter of interpolation. Filter coefficients obtained by the interpolation are supplied to a digital filter to determine its filter characteristics and an input tone signal is modified in accordance with the filter characteristics thus determined. Filter characteristics of diverse variation as compared with the number of prepared filter coefficients can thereby be realized. Further, timewise change of filter characteristics can be realized by changing a parameter of interpolation with lapse of time or changing two sets of filter coefficients to be interpolated with lapse of time. Designation of filter coefficients can be made by designating coordinate data of coordinates having at least two axes. In this case, filter coefficients can be changed by changing coordinate data of at least one axis in accordance with tone color control information whereby filter characteristics can be variably controlled.
