A wiring pattern having a plurality of terminal lands and leads independently respectively connected therewith is formed on one face of an insulator of a flexible wiring substrate. The insulator is provided with through-holes whereby the terminal lands are exposed on the other side. The terminal lands are electrically connected and fixed on the other face of the insulator by joining with the head terminals of the inkjet head with conductive adhesive, through the through-holes. Isolation between the leads and terminal lands arranged on the one side thereof from the conductive adhesive is provided by the insulator.

Connection structure of flexible wiring substrate and connection method using same

There is disclosed a printed wiring board comprising: an electrically insulating flexible layer which has on one of its opposite sides a protrusion which forms a corresponding recess on the other side of the flexible layer; an electrically conducting layer formed on the protrusion; and a wire formed on the flexible layer, connected to the conducting layer, and extending in a direction. The conducting layer has a shape long in the direction of extension of the wire.

Printed wiring board and electric device using the same

An ink-jet head comprises a piezoelectric actuator including a piezoelectric layer, individual electrodes respectively corresponding to ink ejection channels and formed on a surface of the piezoelectric layer, lands formed on the surface of the piezoelectric layer so as to be electrically connected to the respective individual electrodes, and a common electrode opposed to the individual electrodes with the piezoelectric layer being interposed therebetween. A height of the land from the surface of the piezoelectric layer is larger than a height of the individual electrode from the surface of the piezoelectric layer. The land has a hole opening in its top face which is remote from the piezoelectric layer.

Ink-jet head

A serial signal for generating a plurality of recording waveform signals is transmitted serially from a signal transmission circuit to a head river. A serial-parallel converting circuit parallely converts the serial signal and generates a plurality of kinds of the recording waveform signals. A selector in the head driver selects a predetermined recording waveform signal from the plurality of kinds of the recording waveform signals based on a selection signal corresponding to each of actuators. The drive pulse of the selected recording waveform signal is outputted to a recording head and carries out dot recording.

Recording apparatus

A recording apparatus for performing a recording operation on a recording medium on the basis of recording information. The apparatus including: (a) a recording head having (a-i) recording elements arranged in a plurality of rows, and (a-ii) drive electrodes arranged in a plurality of rows and receiving respective drive signals to drive the respective recording elements; (b) a converter converting serially transmitted data representative of the recording information, into parallel signals serving as the drive signals applied to the drive electrodes; and (c) a controller which transmits the data serially to the converter. The converter has a plurality of output terminals which are connected to the respective drive electrodes across the plurality of rows of the drive electrodes, and are arranged in a row in an order generally corresponding to arrangement of the drive electrodes from one end of the recording head to the other end thereof. The controller transmits the data representative of the recording information to the converter serially in association with the drive electrodes, in an order corresponding to arrangement of the output terminals.

In the data transmission systemfor transmitting drive pulse data from a personal computer to an ink jet printer in 8-bit units, the drive pulse data includes 7 bits of pulse width data Hx and 9 bits of pulse interval data Lx. The personal computer reduces pulse interval data, which has an amount of data exceeding 8 bits, in half by shifting the bits one place to the right before transmitting the data to the inkjet printer. The basic time period used for decoding the pulse interval data is set to twice the basic time period used for decoding the pulse width data. The pulse interval data is decoded based on this larger basic time period.

Data transmission system using equalized data streams indicative of lengths of time

A fabric position correcting device detects the position of at least one of an outer profile line and a pattern of a fabric portion corresponding to one of pressers, corrects the position of the fabric portion while holding the same whose position has been detected, and presses the fabric portion with the presser after the position thereof has been corrected. The aligning process composed of the above three steps is carried out four times successively with respect to fabric portions corresponding to the respective pressers from the leading end of the fabric in the direction in which it is fed. Then, the positionally corrected fabrics are fed to the sewing start position. Therefore, the positional correction of the fabrics relative to at least one of the outer profile line and the pattern thereof can be accurately, reliably, and automatically carried out from the leading end to trailing end of the fabrics.

Method of positioning and feeding fabric in sewing machine

A processing device for processing a sheet material with a pattern of the present invention is such as a sewing machine with pattern matching operation. The processing device has a detecting unit for detecting a color state of the pattern of the sheet material and producing a color state signal indicative of the color state. The processing device processes the sheet material on the basis of the color state signal produced by said detecting means. According to the present invention, the processing device is provided with an automatic adjusting unit for adjusting the detecting unit to allow the detecting unit to produce a desired color state signal with respect to a reference color state. Therefore, the white balance or the dynamic range is properly adjusted simply and reliably for the processing device.

Device for processing sheet material with colored pattern

A fabric position correcting device for correcting relative position of two fabrics in terms of alignment in at least one of outer profile lines and patterns of the fabrics. A pair of fabric holders are provided which respectively hold first and second fabrics. The holders are movable in X, Y directions, and angularly rotatable about a vertical axis for moving the respective fabrics. A pair of image sensors are provided for picking up at least one of outer profiles and patterns of the respective fabrics. Data from the image sensors are utilized for computation of moving distance and angular rotation angle of the holders in order to eliminate misalignment between two fabrics in terms of at least one of the profiles and patterns.
