A vehicular lamp including a lamp body formed from a synthetic resin, a front lens coupled to a front opening of the lamp body, and a light source, wherein the lamp body is provided with a bulb holder part for holding the light source bulb, and a cover section of the bulb holder part is molded integrally with an outer peripheral part of the lamp body by different materials from each other.

Vehicular lamps and method of molding a lamp body of vehicular lamps

A vehicular lamp which includes a lamp body and a wedge-base bulb which connects to a lead wire, in which a base member of the wedge-base bulb is held by contact holding pieces of a contact terminal which is securely held by the lamp body and penetrates the lamp body in the front-rear direction thereof, so that the wedge-base bulb is mounted on a front surface of the lamp body, and the lamp is characterized in that the contact terminal is of a box-type and formed integrally with the lamp body.

Vehicular lamp

A pin device including a plurality of rib members formed radially on a lamp body, at least a part of each rib member integrated to one another, and a pin member so formed as to integrally project from the integrated parts of these rib members beyond upper edges of the rib members, and since the pin member is supported on the lamp body through the plurality of rib members, the required mechanical strength can be maintained while avoiding the undesirable shrinkage phenomena because no resin thicker portion formed on the back surface of the lamp body and, further, since the area of each rib member is not necessary to enlarge, a compact pin device can be accomplished and, furthermore, there is no need of a slide core because every parts of the pin device extends in the same direction as the retracting direction of the mold core for molding the lamp body.

A horizontally elongated lamp body of a supplemental high mounted stop lamp is fastened to the rear windowpane of a motor vehicle with looseness in the longitudinal direction of the lamp body relative to the windowpane. Molded from a plastic, the lamp body is therefore capable of thermal expansion or contraction in its longitudinal direction without the danger of detachment from the windowpane.

Device for nondetachably mounting a supplemental high mounted stop lamp

A pair of conductive patterns, which are to be electrically connected to the battery of a motor vehicle, are formed as by baking on the interior surface of the rear windowpane of the vehicle. A pair of nuts or brackets of electrically conductive material are soldered to the conductive patterns. The lamp body of a supplemental high mounted stop lamp are fastened to the nuts or brackets, with the light sources of the lamp electrically connected in circuit therewith.
