A battery resistance measurement system measures an electrical resistance of a battery and comprises a determination unit and a measurement unit. The determination unit determines, based on whether a predetermined condition is satisfied, whether a target battery has switched from a charged state to a discharged state in which while the target battery receives supplied electric power the target battery outputs electric power larger than the supplied electric power. The measurement unit starts measuring the electrical resistance of the target battery at a time when the determination unit determines that the target battery is switched from the charged state to the discharged state.

When charging or discharging of the battery assembly is carried out, the &#x394;SOC obtaining unit obtains &#x394;SOC for each parallel cell block. The largest block identification unit identifies a largest block in a diagnosis target. When a degree of deviation between &#x394;SOC of the largest block and a &#x394;SOC reference value exceeds a prescribed level, the diagnosis unit determines that abnormality has occurred in the largest block in the diagnosis target.

An electrically-driven vehicle includes a power storage device that stores power to be supplied to a motor, and a controller that controls output of the power storage device. The controller estimates a SOC of the power storage device. The controller detects output power of the power storage device and calculates an output power upper limit value of the power storage device by using the SOC when a voltage of the power storage device reaches a lower limit voltage during discharge of the power storage device. The controller stops the electrically-driven vehicle in the case where the detected output power is lower than the output power upper limit value.

Electrically-driven vehicle and control method for electrically-driven vehicle

An electrically driven vehicle comprises a battery configured by connecting a plurality of cells in series; and a motor configured to transmit electric power to and from the battery. When an abnormality occurs in a cell voltage detection system configured to detect cell voltages of the respective cells of the battery, the electrically driven vehicle prohibits regenerative control of the motor. The electrically driven vehicle determines whether the battery is being charged, based on an open circuit voltage of a block that is comprised of at least two or more cells among all the cells constituting the battery. The open circuit voltage of the block is calculated from a voltage of the block and a battery current flowing in the battery.

Electrically driven vehicle

A DC power supply apparatus includes a charging circuit, which charges a secondary battery of a vehicle from an AC power source device or a DC power source device. The charging circuit includes a non-insulating converter circuit and an insulating converter circuit. A breaker relay disconnects the AC power source device and the charging circuit in an initial charging period to supply a large charging current to the secondary battery by the non-insulating converter circuit. As a result, charging can be performed with high efficiency without the insulation transformer. The breaker relay connects the AC power source device and the charging circuit after the initial charging period. Only the insulating converter circuit supplies the charging current to the secondary battery. Thus, adverse effect of stray capacitance of a circuit of the vehicle can be eliminated.

DC power supply apparatus

In a power supply apparatus, a power source generates electric power at a predetermined source voltage. The first converter circuit converts the source voltage into a first voltage or a second voltage. The secondary battery is charged with electric power at the first voltage when the first converter circuit outputs electric power at the first voltage. The second converter circuit converts the first voltage of the electric power outputted from the first converter circuit or the secondary battery into the second voltage. The electric load device is supplied with electric power at the second voltage outputted from the second converter circuit. The direct power supply circuit directly supplies electric power at the second voltage outputted from the first converter circuit to the electric load device without passing through the second converter circuit when the first converter circuit outputs the electric power at the second voltage.

Power supply apparatus

A power converter includes a booster circuit, an inverter circuit, a hysteresis control circuit, and a proportional-integral control circuit. The booster circuit boosts DC power of a DC power source. The inverter circuit converts the DC power outputted from the booster circuit into AC power and outputs the AC power to a system. The hysteresis control circuit controls the inverter circuit by hysteresis control so that the AC power can be outputted to the system when an AC voltage of the system is less than a DC voltage of the power source. The proportional-integral control circuit controls the booster circuit by proportional-integral control so that the AC power can be outputted to the system when the AC voltage of the system is larger than the DC voltage of the power source.

Power converter for outputting power to a system

An electric power converter apparatus includes an inverter circuit having a plurality of upper arm elements and a plurality of lower arm elements, a feedback controlling module calculating a voltage command value in order to control an output from the inverter circuit in a feedback control manner and a compensating module compensating the voltage command value with a compensation amount and outputting a compensated voltage command value. Each of the plurality of upper arm elements and the plurality of lower arm elements is operated to switch over based on a control signal that is set according to the compensated voltage command value and a dead time. The compensation amount is set by the compensating module in order to compensate a fluctuation in the output current due to the dead time.

An operation control unit controls the operation of the engine according to the range of the required vehicle power Pvto operate the engine set by the operation condition setting unit.

Hybrid vehicle controller

First and second converters are connected in parallel to positive and negative lines, respectively. When a required power is smaller than a reference value, an ECU controls the first and second converters such that one of the first and second converters operates and the other stops. When the required power is equal to or larger than the reference value, the ECU controls the first and second converters such that both the first and second converters operate.

A power controller alleviating change of braking feeling caused by reduced regenerative braking force is provided. Energy generated by regenerative braking is used for charging a capacitor. The charging power P(C) is calculated and whether P(C) has reached a maximum value WMAX of predetermined limit control value WIN(C) or not is determined. If P(C) is determined to have reached WMAX, WIN(C) is regulated to be smaller from that time point.
