A colorimetric apparatus includes: an opening portion that is disposed at a bottom of an apparatus main body and that introduces light arriving from a measurement target to inside the apparatus main body; an incident light processing unit that processes light incident through the opening portion; a rotor that is provided at the bottom of the apparatus main body and is in contact with the measurement target, the rotor having an elliptical shape and being driven to rotate about a rotary shaft when the apparatus main body moves in a predetermined direction; a detector that detects displacement of the rotary shaft in a direction in which the rotary shaft advances and retreats with respect to the measurement target as the rotor rotates; and a control unit that receives a signal from the incident light processing unit and the detector.

A medium feeding apparatus includes a roll holding portion which holds a roll body around which a printing medium is wound, a feeding roller which pulls out the printing medium from the roll body and feeds the printing medium, a roll motor which rotates the roll body held by the roll holding portion, a roll motor control portion which controls the roll motor, and rotation position detecting portions which detect a rotation position of the roll body, the roll motor control portion performs removing looseness of the printing medium pulled out from the roll body by driving the roll motor and rotating the roll body in a rewinding direction, and in the removing, driving of the roll motor is finished on the basis of movement of the rotation position detected by the rotation position detecting portions.

Medium feeding apparatus, printing apparatus, and control method of medium feeding apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a feeding unit which includes a medium support unit which supports a roll-shaped medium, a feeding motor which rotates the medium support unit, and a transmission unit which transmits a driving force of the feeding motor to the medium support unit; a transport unit which transports a medium fed from the feeding unit; and a control unit which adjusts a tensile force of the medium between the medium support unit and the transport unit, by controlling the feeding motor, in which the transmission unit includes a plurality of transmission mechanisms, and the plurality of transmission mechanisms include a belt transmission mechanism which transmits the driving force using a belt.
