A connector unit, which comprises an insulating housing carrying a plurality of connection pins planted therethrough and accommodating a dielectric plate formed with through-holes penetrated by the connection pins and provided on both sides with electrodes. Thus, a capacitor is connected between each connection pin and earth, so that the connector unit is capable of preventing external interference waves from being introduced through the connection pins into the electric apparatus and also preventing spurious waves generated within the electric apparatus from radiation to the outside through the connection pins.

Connector unit

A noise suppressing connector comprises a shielding casing, first and second contact pins to be connected to external circuits, and a filter including at least one capacitor and a coil wound about a core made of a ferromagnetic material. An insulative housing is enclosed by the casing, and this insulative housing has a partition defining a bore with the inner wall of the housing. The first contact pin passes through the partition to project into the bore, while the filter is disposed in the bore to be connected between the first and second contact pins. At least one conductive plate is disposed in the bore and is connected to the casing for effectively shielding the filter and for serving as a ground circuit. The space in the bore may be filled with a suitable insulative material. The number of capacitors and coils may be increased to constitute a desired filter, such as a low-pass, high-pass or band-pass filter. With this provision noises which tend to pass through the connector are blocked, while induction and radiation of interfering waves and spurious waves are effectively prevented.

Noise suppressing connector

A connector assembly for a printed circuit board having electrical contacts on at least one surface of its edge portion, comprising a housing structure having spaced parallel side wall portions at least one of which has electrical contact elements carried on the inner face thereof, and at least one elastic retaining member partly positioned within the housing structure and in engagement with at least one of the side wall portions of the housing structure for being in pressing engagement with the printed circuit board and thereby holding the circuit board in a predetermined fixed position having the contacts in close contact with the contact elements on the housing structure.

Connector assembly for printed circuit board

An improved connector assembly for use with a printed wiring board is provided, composed of at least two segments which are initially separate from each other and which are assembled together with contact elements carried thereon. The contact elements are preferably produced from an initially unitary blank having an excess portion which is removed, upon completion of assemblage of the segments, from these portions of the blank which constitute the contact elements. The connector assembly is compatible with both of single-sided and double-sided printed wiring boards.
