A fuel valve includes a cylindrical flow adjusting member having a cylindrical surface formed with two circumferentially extending V-shaped grooves for liquid fuel and air, respectively. The fuel valve further includes liquid fuel and air supply pipes having O-rings at their respective discharge ports which are kept in abutment with the cylindrical surface such that when the flow rate adjusting member is rotated to a position where the V-shaped grooves extend across and protrude from the respective O-rings, the discharge ports of the supply pipes communicate with the respective V-shaped grooves, so that liquid fuel and air flow. The depths, widths and positions of the respective V-shaped grooves are determined corresponding to an igniting position (preheating step), normal burning positions (high heat to low heat), and a discharge position such that the flow rates of liquid fuel and air can be adjusted in synchronization with each other.

A position detection system for an underwater inspection unit or vehicle improves the detection accuracy of the unit's position. The unit includes a pressure sensor for detecting its vertical position, and an inertial sensor for detecting its attitude angle. The unit also includes a range sensor unit for detecting relative distances relative to a neighboring structure A in several directions on substantially the same plane. A control unit computes a position of a detection direction plane of the range sensor unit based on the unit's detected vertical position and attitude angle, and a cross-sectional shape and position of the structure at the computed position of the detection direction plane. Additionally, the control unit computes the unit's relative position with respect to the structure's cross-sectional shape based on detection results by the range sensor unit, and computes the unit's horizontal position based on position information of the structure's cross-sectional shape.

System for detecting position of underwater vehicle

In a storage system, one or more storage apparatuses provide a management computer with a first volume for storing data from the management computer, provide a host computer with a second volume for storing data from the host computer, and manage a volume address for the one or more storage apparatuses to manage the first volume and the second volume in the one or more storage apparatuses. The management computer issues a command specifying an arbitrary volume address to the one or more storage apparatuses, and designates, when receiving a normal response from the arbitrary volume address, a volume with the arbitrary volume address as the second volume.

Storage system and copy method

A management system for managing storage systems, having first correspondence information concerned with correspondence of copy pairs with copy groups as setting of remote copying of data in logical volumes of the storage systems, and second correspondence information concerned with correspondence of physical paths and logical paths between the storage systems with the copy groups, wherein when failure information designating a certain physical path is received, a copy group affected by failure in the certain physical path is specified and displayed by referring to the first correspondence information and the second correspondence information. Consequently, physical paths can be monitored from the viewpoint of remote copying.

An intermediate board has a board core formed by a main core body and a sub-core portion. The main core body has a plate-like shape and includes an open sub-core housing portion in which the sub-core portion is housed. A first terminal array of the board core has an area that overlaps an orthogonal projection of the sub-core portion. Wiring board and capacitor to be built into wiring board

A wiring board includes a substrate core and a ceramic chip to be embedded therein. The substrate core has a housing opening portion opening at a core main surface. The ceramic chip is accommodated in the housing opening portion so that the core main surface and a chip first main surface face the same way. The ceramic chip includes a plurality of second terminal electrodes comprised of a metallized layer and formed on the chip second main surface so as to protrude therefrom. A projecting portion, disposed on the second main surface side so as to surround a plurality of the second terminal electrodes, is formed on the chip second main surface so as to protrude therefrom.
