A vibration generating device includes a housing; a diaphragm supported by the housing, and configured to generate sound by vibrating in a first direction; and a vibration providing part attached to the housing, and configured to vibrate the housing. The vibration providing part vibrates the housing in the first direction at a first frequency, and vibrates the housing in a second direction at a second frequency lower than the first frequency.

Vibration generating device

An electromagnetic drive device includes a permanent magnet attached to a surface of a first yoke facing a second yoke; and first and second excitation coils to generate magnetic flux when being energized. The second yoke includes a base, and a first protruding part protruding from the base toward the first yoke, between the first and second excitation coils. The permanent magnet includes a first region; and second and third regions positioned on respective sides of the first region. The first region is magnetized to be a first pole, and the second region and the third region are magnetized to be second poles. The first region is opposite to the first protruding part, a boundary between the first and second regions is opposite to the first excitation coil, and a boundary between the first and third regions is opposite to the second excitation coil.

Electromagnetic drive device and operation device

An operation device includes a movable part having an operating surface on which a contact operation is performed by an living body, a vibration exciter attached to the movable part at a position other than the operating surface, and configured to excite the movable part in a first direction along the operating surface, and in a second direction intersecting the operating surface, a base part, and an elastic support, provided between the movable part and the base part, and configured to elastically support the movable part with respect to the base part. The movable part provides a tactile sensation to the living body making the contact operation when excited in the first direction by the vibration exciter, and generates a sound from the operating surface when excited in the second direction by the vibration exciter.

Tactile-sensation providing device

An operation device includes a movable portion, a vibration generating unit, a fixed portion, a detecting unit, and a control unit. The vibration generating unit includes a movable yoke attached to the movable portion, and a fixed yoke attached to the fixed portion and disposed facing the movable yoke in a first direction. The vibration generating unit includes a permanent magnet attached to one yoke among the movable yoke and the fixed yoke, both ends of the permanent magnet in the first direction being opposite magnetic poles created by magnetization. The vibration generating unit includes an exciting coil attached to a different yoke from the one yoke among the movable yoke and the fixed yoke, the exciting coil being configured to induce magnetic flux in response to a current flowing through the exciting coil.

An input apparatus includes an operation member supported movably in accordance with a plurality of sections set on a two-dimensional plane, a section detection section configured to detect a section in which the operation member is located, a determination operation detection section configured to detect a determination operation performed using the operation member, and an execution section configured to perform a process corresponding to the section in which the operation member is located on the basis of the section detected by the section detection section and the determination operation detected by the determination operation detection section. Braking torque based on a friction force is increased in a pulse state in a transition area in which control torque changes from a direction to encourage the rotation of a manipulation member to a direction to suppress the rotation. This braking torque based on a friction force does not cause vibration unlike the driving torque of an electric motor even if the braking torque is steeply increased. Therefore, when the rotational angle passes through the transition area, a clearer click feeling can be generated without a change like vibration being caused in control torque. When the manipulation member is rotated fast, the braking torque in a pulse state is likely to be felt as vibration.
