An information providing method is performed in an information providing system. The information providing method includes: acquiring pieces of speed information of a vehicle in association with identification information of an in-vehicle device from the in-vehicle device via roadside antennas, each of the pieces of speed information having been stored in the in-vehicle device each time the vehicle moves a prescribed distance before the vehicle passes by the roadside antennas; and causing an information display device to display evaluation information in association with the identification information, the evaluation information indicating a frequency of occurrence of sudden acceleration or deceleration events of the vehicle obtained from a proportion of differences between calculation values outside a threshold range, the calculation values being calculated on the basis of the pieces of speed information in a prescribed period corresponding to the pieces of speed information stored in the in-vehicle device.

Information providing method and information providing system

An attempt is made to make an incoming notification for a reply to sending mail, an incoming notification related to the sending mail, and an incoming notification from an Internet service provider to a user. Accordingly, when the mail is sent from a communication terminal, if an incoming notification condition related to the mail is added and the mail is sent to a server unit, the server unit detects and registers the information as the incoming notification condition and sends the mail to the Internet. Further, when the mail that matches the incoming notification condition was received, the incoming notification is made to the communication terminal and the condition is changed. Consequently, the incoming notification condition can dynamically be set and changed at mail sending and receiving. That is, the incoming notification condition related to the sending mail can be registered in the server unit at mail sending. When the mail that matches the incoming notification condition was received, the mail is posted to the user as the incoming notification and the incoming notification condition can be changed.

There is disclosed a telephone voice control system capable of reducing the load on an application program in CTI technology to enable loading of the application program. This system is furnished with an intermediate processing unit (middleware) and an application program. The intermediate processing unit is provided with a call processing parta voice data processing parta status management partfor maintaining the status of the call processing part and the voice data processing part, and a control partfor controlling the call processing part and the voice data processing part. The application program sends a request to the intermediate processing unit. In operation, the control part compares a state enough to execute the request from the application program with the status maintained by the status management part, and if both disaccord, requests the call processing part and the voice processing part to perform processing for matching both states with each other. In this case, the application program has only to issue the same voice playback or recording request to the intermediate processing unit anytime without the need to manage the call connected, the connected state of a voice data path and the like.

A data recording system for storing the voice data or other data contents of telephone calls, whereby contents of telephone calls performed using internal telephones which are connected via a switchboard to a public telephone network can be stored as data records by a telephone conversation recording apparatus, while contents of telephone calls performed using a mobile telephone can be stored on a memory card as a data record, which can be transmitted from a computer via a computer network and gateway to be stored by the telephone conversation recording apparatus in an identical way to the contents of a call performed using an internal telephone. A user can thus utilize or process the contents of a recorded telephone call in the same way, irrespective of whether the user has performed the telephone call at a remote location using a mobile telephone or by using an internal telephone.

Data recording system for storing as data the contents of telephone calls made by internal telephones and by mobile telephones having memory card data storage function

A communication system includes an exchange, one or a plurality of telephones connected to the exchange via a telephone circuit network, and one or a plurality of computers connected to the exchange at least via the telephone circuit network. Among those telephones and computers, a first telephone is correlated with a first computer. The first telephone sends the first computer a first call reception state report indicating a call reception state of the first telephone via a first route. When receiving the first call reception state report, the first computer sends the exchange a prescribed telephone circuit control instruction for a call directed to the first telephone. When receiving the prescribed telephone circuit control instruction, the exchange performs a telephone circuit control for the call directed to the first telephone according to the prescribed telephone circuit control instruction.

A signal 101 from a transmitting station includes: an address 102 specific to a message receiving apparatus; a specific message 103 that is an advance notice indicating receipt of a large-volume message; and a message main body 105. The message receiving apparatus includes: a receiving section 11 that outputs a data string by demodulating the signal 101; a decoder 13 that subjects the data string to an error correcting process, converts the corrected data string into a message, and makes an address collation; an analyzer 14 that analyzes the message and outputs a control signal to a total control section 16 if the analyzed message is a specific message; a buffer 15 that stores a message main body; and the total control section 16 that stops a peripheral device section 17 in accordance with signals obtained from the decoder and the analyzer and controls display by sending a message in the buffer 15 to the peripheral device section 17.

Message receiving apparatus and message transmitting and receiving method

In a paging receive for use in a radio paging system which employs a sophisticated data communication protocol, all protocol analysis operations such as de-interleaving and error correction processing are performed by a CPU which executes a control program, with the analysis being performed only on those received data frames which contain messages addressed to that paging receiver, and with the protocol analysis being performed first for the address field of such a frame, to obtain information specifying the position within a message field of that frame of requisite specific message data which are addressed to the paging receiver, then being performed only for these specific message data, within that message field. The control program is executed as two separate processes, each of which can be interrupted in response to interrupt signals supplied to the CPU and subsequently restarted, with one process performing protocol analysis and the other process performing operations which are requested through function switch actuations, so that such operations requests can be registered while protocol analysis is in progress, enabling rapid response to the requests.

Paging receiver which performs data communication protocol analysis

In a message receiving apparatus, a radio paging signal is demodulated into a baseband signal. The baseband signal is decoded into corresponding data. Address information is recovered from the data. Message information is recovered from the data. The recovered message information is subjected to an error correction process. On the other hand, the recovered address information is prevented from being subjected to the error correction process.
