Provided are a non-hydrocarbon gas separation device and the like capable of increasing a discharge pressure of a non-hydrocarbon gas to a downstream side while preventing an increase in size of equipment. In the non-hydrocarbon gas separation device, a first separation module () and a second separation module () connected to each other in series are each configured to separate a non-hydrocarbon from a natural gas through use of a separation membrane (). The non-hydrocarbon gas having been separated from the natural gas is discharged to each of discharge lines () and (). At this time, a pressure of the first separation module () on a discharge line () side is higher than a pressure of the second separation module () on a discharge line () or () side.

Nonhydrocarbon gas separation device and nonhydrocarbon gas separation method

Provided is a non-hydrocarbon gas separation device or the like capable of separating a non-hydrocarbon gas from a natural gas containing a heavy hydrocarbon. The non-hydrocarbon gas separation device is configured to separate a non-hydrocarbon gas from a natural gas. The natural gas containing a heavy hydrocarbon, the heavy hydrocarbon having 5 or more carbon atoms, is supplied to a separation module (). The natural gas having been separated from the non-hydrocarbon gas is allowed to outflow from the separation module (), and the non-hydrocarbon gas having been separated from the natural gas is discharged from the separation module (). An inorganic membrane (), which is housed in the separation module (), and is made of an inorganic material is configured to allow the non-hydrocarbon gas contained in the natural gas to permeate therethrough to a discharge side, and to allow the natural gas having been separated from the non-hydrocarbon gas to flow to an outflow side. A heating unit () is configured to heat the natural gas to be supplied to the separation module () so that a temperature in the separation module () is kept at a temperature higher than a dew point temperature of the heavy hydrocarbon.

A reactor for synthesizing hydrogen sulfide in which sulfur and hydrogen are subjected to gas-phase reaction in the absence of a catalyst to synthesize hydrogen sulfide, the reactor including: a reactor body that retains liquid sulfur in a bottom portion thereof; a heating unit that gasifies part of the liquid sulfur; a hydrogen gas supply unit that supplies hydrogen gas into the liquid sulfur; and a heat-exchanging portion provided in a gas-phase reaction region located above the liquid surface of the liquid sulfur in the reactor body, wherein heat-exchanging portion is configured such that the reaction temperature in the gas-phase reaction region is controlled to be within a predetermined temperature range by changing the heat exchange amount per unit volume in a gas-phase reaction region located farther from the liquid surface from the heat exchange amount per unit volume in a gas-phase reaction region located closer to the liquid surface.

A process for the recovery of carbon dioxide, which includes: (a) an absorption step of bringing a carbon dioxide-containing gaseous feed stream into gas-liquid contact with an absorbing fluid, whereby at least a portion of the carbon dioxide present in the gaseous stream is absorbed into the absorbing fluid to produce (i) a refined gaseous stream having a reduced carbon dioxide content and (ii) an carbon dioxide-rich absorbing fluid; and (b) a regeneration step of treating the carbon dioxide-rich absorbing fluid at a pressure of greater than 3 bar (absolute pressure) so as to liberate carbon dioxide and regenerate a carbon dioxide-lean absorbing fluid which is recycled for use in the absorption step, in which the absorbing fluid is an aqueous amine solution containing a tertiary aliphatic alkanol amine and an effective amount of a carbon dioxide absorption promoter, the tertiary aliphatic alkanol amine showing little decomposition under specified conditions of temperature and pressure under co-existence with carbon dioxide.

Process for the recovery of carbon dioxide

An object of the present invention is to carry out separation recovery of ammonia efficiently from a gaseous mixture containing ammonia and carbon dioxide, without generating a solid ammonium carbamate. A recovery method of ammonia from a gaseous mixture, includes a process (I) in which a gaseous mixture containing ammonia and carbon dioxide is contacted with an organic solvent to allow the organic solvent to absorb ammonia in the gaseous mixture, and a process (II) in which the organic solvent which absorbed ammonia is distilled to separate ammonia from the organic solvent.

Recovery method of ammonia from gaseous mixture

A process for producing a carbonic acid diester, which comprises carrying out a reaction in a vapor phase of an alcohol, carbon monoxide and oxygen in the presence of a catalyst in a fluidized-bed reactor so that an oxidative carbonylation of the alcohol occurs, thereby obtaining a carbonic acid diester, wherein a heat of reaction is removed by the latent heat of vaporization of the alcohol as a raw material. In the process, for example, either at least part of the alcohol may be directly fed in liquid phase into the fluidized bed or cooling pipes are disposed in the fluidized bed and at least part of the alcohol is introduced in liquid phase into the cooling pipes as a heat transfer medium so that the liquid alcohol is vaporized and fed into the fluidized-bed reactor. Carbon monoxide may be introduced together with the liquid alcohol into the cooling pipes. A process of high energy efficiency realizing an effective utilization of a heat of reaction and an apparatus therefor are provided in the production of a carbonic acid diester in a vapor phase with the use of a fluidized-bed reactor.

Apparatus for producing carbonic acid diester

In a crystallization method, a liquid mixture containing a crystallizable component is cooled so as to form and separate crystals of the crystallizable component. Then, a purified melt having purity substantially equal to that of the separated crystals, to which a polymerization inhibitor is added and which is heated to a temperature higher than a freezing point of the separated crystals, is circulated to flow contacting the crystals so as to accelerate melting. Then, the melted crystals are recovered along with the purified melt containing the polymerization inhibitor.

Process for producing a carbonic acid diester

Crystallization method and crystallization apparatus each use vertical plates for crystallization thereon. Both surfaces of the plate are used for different two liquids to flow down as films. Specifically, on one vertical surface, a feed liquid mixture containing crystallizable components therein flows down as a film, and on an opposite vertical surface, a cooling medium flows down as a film. Accordingly, the crystallizable component contained in the feed liquid mixture is cooled and crystallized to form crystal layers on the one vertical surface of the plate. The formed crystal layers are melted by a heating medium which flows down on the opposite vertical surface, and are collected as a melt. A pair of the plates may be used to form a unit to purify the liquid mixture on a large scale. A number of the units may be used to form a block which is suitable for a larger-scale crystallization processing. Further, a number of the blocks may be used to purify the liquid mixtures on a further larger-scale processing.

Method of and apparatus for crystallization

In a non-agitational, countercurrent flow type of liquid-liquid contacting tower, splitter plates with plural slits and/or holes through which light and heavy liquids flow, and baffles having the appropriate shapes and areas in order to cover the liquid flowing upward or downward, are alternately mounted horizontally inside the tower shell in vertical direction. The ratios of the opening area to the total cross-sectional area in the splitter plate are 10% to 40%, and the opening area of a baffles is larger than the aperture area of a splitter plate. The advantages of this invention are as follows: Because of the high contacting efficiency, a relatively smaller contactor has an equivalent performance with that of a larger contactor; there exists no risk of plugging due to scum accumulation, and maintenance is easy.

Liquid-liquid contactor

A feed liquid (sugar-containing liquid) is continuously fed to a fermenter packed with an immobilized microorganism, which is obtained by immobilizing an alcohol producing microorganism on a carrier, for alcohol fermentation. The fermentation liquid is continuously taken out of said fermenter and is heated to a temperature of 35.degree. to 80.degree. C. This liquid is introduced into a flash tank maintained at reduced pressure and is divided into an alcohol-containing steam and a liquid. The alcohol-containing steam is condensed and recovered as alcohol, while the separated liquid is cooled and is cycled back to said fermenter.
