An optical fiber scanning device includes a housing, an optical fiber configured to emit light, a magnet disposed on the optical fiber, four drive coils configured to drive the optical fiber by applying to the magnet a magnetic field generated by a received drive power signal, and four detection coils configured to output an induced electromotive force signal corresponding to variation of a magnetic field, wherein the drive power signal is controlled based on the induced electromotive force signal, and four coil assemblies each including any one of the drive coils and any one of the detection coils are disposed at rotationally symmetrical positions so as to interpose the optical fiber among the four coil assemblies.

An optical fiber scanning system includes: an optical fiber with a magnet; four drive coils configured to apply a drive magnetic field generated using a drive power signal to the magnet; four detection coils configured to output a detection signal in response to variation of a magnetic field; a controller configured to perform feedback control of the drive power signal; a signal output circuit configured to output a drive signal; a voltage-current conversion circuit configured to convert the drive signal to the drive power signal; and a correction circuit configured to output a magnet magnetic field signal by removing the drive magnetic field signal from the detection signal, and the controller controls the signal output circuit based on the magnet magnetic field signal.

Optical fiber scanning system and endoscope system

A clear image having suppressed blurring due to pulsing is obtained by in-vivo examination of biological tissue or various internal organs of mammals, including small laboratory animals. The invention provides an optical-scanning microscope examination apparatus including a light source; a light-transmitting member for transmitting light from the light source; a collimator optical system for converting the transmitted light to a collimated beam; a beam-scanning unit for scanning the collimated beam on a subject; a focusing optical system for focusing the scanned beam onto the subject; a pupil-projection optical system; a light detector for detecting return light returning from the subject via the focusing optical system, the pupil-projection optical system, the beam-scanning unit, the collimator optical system, and the light-transmitting member; an actuator for moving the collimator optical system in an optical-axis direction; a control apparatus for controlling driving thereof; and a deflecting mechanism for deflecting the light issuing from the light-transmitting member in a direction intersecting the optical axis thereof, wherein the actuator is disposed in a space parallel to a plane including optical axes before and after deflection by the deflecting mechanism.

Optical-scanning microscope examination apparatus

A control portion of an optical image pickup apparatus includes a scan driver, a lock-in amplifier, and an A/D converter. The scan driver outputs a predetermined drive signal to a Y-scanning mirror and an X-scanning mirror and scans the Y-scanning mirror and the X-scanning mirror. The lock-in amplifier detects a signal level Vout of a frequency component of the drive signal of the scan driver among signals detected by a detector portion. The A/D converter converts a signal detected by a detector portion and a signal level of the detected signal of a frequency component of a drive signal detected by the lock-in amplifier to digital signals and outputs the digital signals to an image processor. Thus, mirror scan operations of the scanning mirrors can be securely detected.
