A display device includes a display unit, a state detecting unit, and a setting unit. The display unit includes a display screen on which an image is displayed. The state detecting unit detects a light emission state of a pixel of the display screen. The setting unit sets the pixel to any one of a display mode and a charge mode based on a result of detection by the state detecting unit.

An image display device includes a display portion, an image transmission panel, a stereo frame and a video signal supply portion. The display portion has an image display surface for displaying an image inclusive of a stereo image. The image transmission panel is disposed in a space on a side opposite to the display portion so as to be separated from and parallel to the image display surface. The image transmission panel forms the image displayed on the image display surface. The stereo frame is disposed on a part of an image-forming plane where the image is formed. The video signal supply portion supplies a video signal to the display portion so that the stereo image formed on the image-forming plane moves between an inside space of the stereo frame and an outside space of the stereo frame.

An image display machine includes a first planar display to present a two-dimensional image. The two-dimensional image includes an object image. The display machine also includes an image transmitting panel which has a micro lens array. The image transmitting panel is placed in parallel to the first display. The micro lens array includes a plurality of lenses, and has an effective area greater than the object image. The image transmitting panel creates an imaging plane to show a real image of the two-dimensional image on the side opposite the first display. The display machine further includes a second display to present a background image. The second display is located between the imaging plane and the micro lens array. The second display has a transparent or semitransparent area. The display machine has a simple structure, but is able to display the two-dimensional image stereoscopically.

Image displaying apparatus

A method and an apparatus for disinfecting drainage are provided. A bromine-based or iodine-based disinfectant is added to water to obtain disinfecting water, and the disinfecting water is added to predetermined drainage. The apparatus has a device for producing disinfecting water from a disinfectant and drainage, a sand basin, and a channel for introducing the disinfecting water into the sand basin, and the drainage is disinfected while the drainage is dwelling in the sand basin.

A sing-along data transmitting method includes the steps of providing a sing-along data center for supplying background video data and music data, and providing a plurality of sing-along data receiving terminals for receiving the background video data and music data fed from the sing-along data center. The next step is transmitting a plurality of background video data by way of a plurality of different channels, and transmitting music data of a plurality of melodies by way of at least one channel. The method further includes the step of transmitting a channel data indicating a channel through which said background video data corresponding to a selected music is being transmitted, with the channel data being transmitted together with music data. A CATV system having a central facility connected through cables to a number of terminal units to establish two-way data communication. Each terminal unit includes a PLL that oscillates at a frequency corresponding to a channel selected. A frequency divider circuit subjects an output frequency of the PLL circuit to frequency division to provide a carrier frequency for an up-stream data signal. The central facility transmits programs and down-stream data signals through a plurality of channels. Each terminal unit transmits an up-stream data signal to the central facility by using an exclusive frequency corresponding to a channel selected.
