A container includes an upper opening portion, a holder, which is placed in the container, for holding at least one medical device, and a gas non-permeable film for sealing the opening portion. The holder includes a basal plate portion having a plate shape, a plurality of tubular portions protruding downwardly from the basal plate portion, a plurality of stays formed around each of the plurality of tubular portions and connecting another of the plurality of tubular portions, and a support rod protruding downwardly from the basal plate portion and having a length longer than the plurality of tubular portions. The support rod is arranged such that a medical device housed in each of the plurality of tubular portions is not adapted to contact a bottom surface of the container, or another holder adjacent to the holder when the holder and the another holder are stacked.

Container

To provide a container for a medical device, which enables easy removal of wrapping, thereby significantly reducing the labor for unpacking at the delivery destination such as a pharmaceutical company or a medical institution. Furthermore, the provided container for the medical device enables easy removal of wrapping even during an automated process in a filling machine for medical solutions, for example. In this container for a medical device, a holder holding at least one medical device is placed inside a container body having an opening at the top, and the opening is sealed with a gas-impermeable film. When sterilizing the exterior of the container using a sterilization gas, the sterilization gas does not permeate into the container due to the gas-impermeable film, so the medical device and the holder thereof placed inside the container are never exposed to the gas.

A container for receiving or storing or carrying pistons for injectors, the container having a base plate and hollow cylindrical piston storage parts (the container being hereafter referred to as a piston nest). Each of the hollow cylindrical piston receiving parts is formed either by making it vertically penetrate through the basic plate, with one side of the base plate functioning as one opening end, and project from the other side or by making it vertically penetrate through the base plate and project from both sides of the base plate. Preferably, each piston receiving part has a swelled part where a part of the inner peripheral wall surface of the piston receiving part is swelled inward. The pistons for injectors are received in the piston receiving parts.

Disclosed is a plunger rod for a syringe. The plunger rod is useful for sliding a piston within a syringe barrel. The plunger rod is characterized in that it is colored in part or in whole. The syringe is also disclosed. According to such plunger rods, even plural syringes of exactly the same external appearance and configuration can be applied with features that make it possible to readily and visually identify them by simply taking a glance at their appearances without needing a measure such as applying indication members such as labels on them. Further, the use of such plunger rods makes it possible to provide syringes of significantly enhanced visual identifiability without impairing high-level quality, functions, sanitariness and safety required for the syringes.

A plastic-made cap for a vial having a lip, the cap being useful as a separation-preventing cap for a plug that seals up an opening of the vial, includes a top wall portion having an outer circumference and centrally defining an opening, and a cylindrical skirt portion extending downwardly from the outer circumference of the top wall portion and being open at its lower end. The skirt portion has an inner diameter (a) greater than an outer diameter (b) of the lip of the vial. The skirt portion is provided on its inner wall with plural ribs formed in a direction perpendicular to the top wall portion. The plural ribs are arranged in pairs at equal angular intervals between the respective pairs of ribs. Further, engagement claws are arranged between the respective pairs of ribs such that the engagement claws can be brought into engagement with an underside of the lip of the vial.

There are provided a needle-equipped syringe barrel and a needle-equipped syringe in which a needle is suitably fixed to a syringe nozzle, and a mold and a method for molding thereof. Provided is an easy-to-handle prefilled type nasal drip appliance which can spray medical solution surely into the nostril while holding down the production cost. A syringe barrel has a spray hole and a latching portion of a center stopper on one side, with a conduction portion of medical solution being provided at the latching portion, and has a portion protruding inward of the inner circumferential surface formed on the other end side. A plunger has a portion protruding outward of the outer circumferential surface formed substantially in the axial center wherein both protrusions engage with each other. When the plunger is moved in the spray direction of the syringe barrel to get over the plunger side protrusion and disengaged, the medical solution moves the center stopper in the spray direction to form a medical solution inflow groove between the conduction portion formed at the center stopper latching portion and the center stopper. Consequently, a medical solution storage portion and the spray hole are interconnected and the medical solution can be sprayed.

Prefilled type nasal drip appliance

The present invention relates to a medical container useful upon transportation of plural syringe barrels. The medical container includes at least a container main body and a holding member arranged inside the container main body. The holding member is provided at least with a plurality of cylindrical holding portions for holding syringe barrels. The container main body has at least a peripheral rim arranged on and along an outer periphery of an opening and a shoulder-shaped portion arranged on an inner wall of the container to arrange the holding member. The shoulder-shaped portion has at least three ribs for supporting the holding member, and has a structure that enables to arrange via the ribs the holding member in a horizontal position relative to a bottom wall of the container main body. According to the present invention, there is provided a medical container of a construction that can be promptly brought into a sterilized state by various methods, can be readily brought into a state capable of maintaining the sterilized state, and during transportation, can fixedly secure, without rattling, syringe barrels held upright by holders.

Medical container

A vacuum packaging system for transporting a plurality of medical containers includes a plurality of medical containers each having a head side and a base side and a tray that receives and supports the medical containers. The tray includes opposing first and second sidewalls, opposing front and rear walls and a bottom floor. The walls extend generally vertically from the floor of the tray. At least one platform generally extends parallel to the floor of the tray. An air impervious flexible film defines an internal cavity. The air impervious flexible film completely surrounds the tray and the medical containers and the internal cavity is evacuated to and maintained at a predetermined vacuum level below atmospheric pressure. One of the head side and the base side of each medical container contacts a top surface of at least one platform when the medical containers are positioned in the tray.

Vacuum package system

A plunger rod useful for sliding a piston inserted in a syringe barrel has a threaded portion formed at an end of the plunger rod to attach the piston on the plunger rod and a flange formed at an opposite end of the plunger rod. The threaded portion and the flange are integrally connected together by a cylindrical member having an outer diameter such that the cylindrical member can be inserted with contact slidability in the syringe barrel, for example, an outer diameter equal to or slightly smaller than an inner diameter of the syringe barrel.

A vacuum packaging system for transporting a plurality of medical containers includes a plurality of medical a tray that receives and supports the medical containers. The tray includes opposing first and second side walls, opposing side and rear walls and a bottom floor. The walls extend generally perpendicularly from the bottom floor of the tray to a top edge thereof. A nesting plate is removably mountable in the tray and includes a plurality of generally cylindrical sleeves each receiving one of the plurality of medical containers. A support surface within the tray generally extends parallel to and spaced a predetermined distance from the bottom floor of the tray and receives and supports the nesting plate. An air impervious flexible film defines an internal cavity and completely surrounds the tray and the medical containers. The internal cavity is evacuated to and maintained at a predetermined vacuum level below atmospheric pressure.

A syringe mold with a coolant circulation outward and homeward positioned close to the cavity space and a sufficient coolant circulating flow for cooling a core cylinder is provided. Slide cores () are put in the position where the slide cores () protrude from the circumference of the core cylinder () by moving the slide core operating jig () forward in the axial direction of the core cylinder () while cooling the core cylinder () by the coolant. Then, a two medical agent mixing type syringe having a communicating groove on the inner circumference for mixing two medical agents is injection-molded. A molding failure due to insufficient cooling of the core cylinder () can be prevented by positioning the coolant outward and homeward close to the cavity space and making the cross sectional area of the coolant outward and homeward enough large because the coolant outward and homeward is partitioned by the circumference of the jig container space in the core cylinder ().

Syringe mold

A vacuum packaging system for transporting a plurality of medical containers including a tray that supports the medical containers and an air impervious flexible film defining an internal cavity. The air impervious flexible film completely surrounds the tray and the medical containers. The internal cavity is evacuated to a predetermined vacuum level below atmospheric pressure. A method for packaging the plurality of medical containers for transportation in the tray includes inserting the medical containers into the tray, inserting the tray filled with medical containers into the internal cavity, evacuating the internal cavity to a predetermined vacuum pressure and sealing the flexible film such that the predetermined vacuum pressure is generally maintained in the internal cavity.

Method for packaging medical containers

A syringe is provided with a Luer-Lok portion for connecting an extension tube or the like. The Luer-Lok portion is arranged upright on a plane of truncation of a conical-frustum-shaped free end portion of the syringe, and includes an inner cylindrical portion and an outer cylindrical portion surrounding the inner cylindrical portion and having at least two projecting helical ribs formed in parallel with each other on an inner peripheral surface thereof. The extension tube or the like can be connected to the Luer-Lok portion by screwing at least two projecting helical ribs of a cylindrical connector, said at least two projecting helical ribs being formed in parallel with each other on an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical connector, in corresponding grooves defined between the helical projecting ribs of the outer cylindrical portion. A lower end portion of at least one of the projecting helical ribs of the Luer-Lok portion is formed at a position higher than an upper surface of a bottom wall between both of the cylindrical portions.

A plastic cap is provided which is capable of assuring a high sealing property and is advantageous for protection of the environment because of being readily subjectable to disposal of waste or burning treatment after using a container. The plastic cap comprises a drum part covering the mouth part of a container and sealing material and a top plate positioned on a top wall of the drum part, in which the drum part has, on the inner wall thereof, a protrusion part or wedge-shaped part to be engaged with an annular protrusion on the outer periphery of the container mouth part. A window part opens at the center part of the top wall of the cap drum port, and the outer edge of the window part and the lower part of the top plate are connected through several bridged parts. The top plate has at least a larger area than the window part and covers the window part and top wall and the bridged parts are broken by adding a force in a predetermined direction to the top plate to separate the top plate when using the medicament.
