A semiconductor device, comprising a frame including a die pad and a lead portion; a semiconductor element; a wire including one end connected to the semiconductor element and another end connected to the lead portion; at least one first bonding portion formed of a solder material and bonding a part of an upper surface of the die pad to a part which is on a lower surface of the semiconductor element and which is opposed to the part of the upper surface of the die pad; and at least one second bonding portion formed of a thermosetting resin and bonding another part of the upper surface of the die pad to another part which is on the lower surface of the semiconductor element and which is opposed to said another part of the upper surface of the die pad.

Mounting material, semiconductor device and method of manufacturing semiconductor device

Disclosed is a high-temperature solder material which is composed of tin, zinc and silver, or of 0.01 to 2 wt % germanium or aluminum and the balance tin, or tin and zinc at a ratio of 80/20 to 70/30. The tin/zinc/silver solder has a composition ratio that the ratio of till to zinc is within a range of 97/3 to 79/21 by weight, and the ratio of the sum of tin and zinc to silver is within a range of 88/12 to 50/50 by weight, or that the ratio of tin to zinc is within a range of 70/30 to 5/95 by weight, and the ratio of silver to the sum of tin, zinc and silver is 15% by weight or less. The solder material is used for producing electric or electronic devices and equipments.

Solder material, device using the same and manufacturing process thereof

There is proposed a molten carbonate fuel cell of high performance and long life which is provided with an oxidizing gas side-collector plate having on its surface a non-stoichiometric composite oxide layer excellent in electric conductivity and corrosion resistance, and hardly attracting electrolyte. This molter carbonate fuel cell comprises a unit cell comprising an electrolyte body formed of a porous body impregnated therein with a carbonate, a cathode disposed on one main surface of the electrolyte body, and an anode disposed on the other main surface of the electrolyte body, corrugated collector plates, disposed alternatively on a surface of the anode and on a surface of the cathode, and interconnectors, each being disposed on a surface of each of the collector plates, wherein the collector plate disposed on the cathode comprises a main body made of austenitic stainless steel, an Fe-Cr-Ni alloy layer covering a surface of the main body and consisting of 23 to 45 wt % of Fe, 12 to 27 wt % of Cr, the balance of Ni and not more than 1 wt % of unavoidable impurities, and a nickel-ferrite-based non-stoichiometric composite oxide layer formed on a surface of the Fe-Cr-Ni alloy layer.

Molten carbonate fuel cell

Disclosed is a molten carbonate fuel cell comprising an electrolyte body sandwiched between a pair of electrodes, outflow of an electrolyte from the electrolyte body being diminished to suppress an increase of the internal resistance and occurrence of a gas crossover, which accompany the outflow of the electrolyte, so as to increase the life time of the fuel cell. The molten carbonate fuel cell of the present invention comprises a pair of conductive electrodes, an electrolyte body sandwiched between the pair of electrodes and including a porous body containing a retaining material and a reinforcing material and an electrolyte impregnated in the porous body and containing an alkali carbonate mixture, the retaining material containing fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.2 to 0.6 .mu.m and the reinforcing material containing short fibers having a diameter of 0.5 to 5 .mu.m and a length of at most 50 .mu.m, fuel gas supplying means for supplying a fuel gas to one of the pair of electrodes, and oxidant gas supplying means for supplying an oxidant gas to the other of the pair of electrodes.

Disclosed is a stainless steel member with a high corrosion resistance suitable for a structural member used in highly corrosive environments, such as an edge seal plate of a molten carbonate fuel cell. This stainless steel member includes a base material consisting of stainless steel containing chromium, and a corrosion-protective layer formed on the surface of the base material. In this corrosion-protective layer, a granular heterophase containing chromium is precipitated in an ordered alloy consisting of aluminum and the constituent elements of the base material.

A long-life molten carbonate fuel cell in which outflow of an electrolyte in an electrolyte body sandwiched between a pair of electrodes is reduced to suppress an increase in internal pressure of the electrolyte body and generation of a gas crossover which are caused by the outflow of the electrolyte is disclosed. The molten carbonate fuel cell includes a pair of conductive electrodes, an electrolyte body sandwiched between the pair of electrodes and constituted by a porous body containing as a filler at least two heterogeneous particles selected from the group consisting of LiAl.sub.x O.sub.y (4.5.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.5.5 and 7.25.ltoreq.y .ltoreq.8.75), LiAl.sub.a O.sub.b (0.89.ltoreq.a .ltoreq.1.11 and 1.80.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.2.20), lithium zirconate, and stabilized zirconia, and an electrolyte consisting of an alkali carbonate mixture impregnated in the porous body, fuel gas supplying member for supplying a fuel gas to one of the pair of electrodes, and an oxidant gas supplying member for supplying an oxidant gas to the other of the pair of electrodes.

A molten carbonate fuel cell comprising a pair of conductive electrodes, an electrolyte body sandwiched between the pair of conductive electrodes and consisting essentially of an electrolyte of an alkali carbonate mixture, more than 5 mole % to 15 mole % of magnesium carbonate with respect to the alkali carbonate mixture, and an electrolyte retaining material, fuel supplying means for supplying a fuel gas to one of the pair of conductive electrodes, and oxidant supplying means for supplying an oxidant gas to the other of the pair of conductive electrodes.
