In order to obtain an optimum depth enhancement effect for three-dimensional (3D) images, a depth information extractor configured to compute depth information from an input video signal, a 2D/3D converter configured to convert, when the input video signal is a two-dimensional (2D) video signal, the 2D video signal to a first video signal which is a 3D video signal based on the depth information, a correction factor calculator configured to compute a correction factor based on the depth information, a selector configured to select either the input video signal or the first video signal and output the selected signal, and a contour enhancement processor configured to perform an enhancement process on the output of the selector based on the correction factor and output the enhanced signal as an output video signal are provided.

Video signal processing device

A transceiver includes: a TV signal receiving unit for generating a first audio signal from a received broadcast wave; a decoder for decoding a reception signal received from the transceiver, to generate a second audio signal; an adding unit for transmitting the second audio signal to a speaker or adding up and transmit, to the speaker, the first audio signal and the second audio signal, and for outputting a reference signal; and an echo canceller for estimating a pseudo echo component from the reference signal, and cancels the pseudo echo component in a picked-up signal picked up by microphone a sound outputted from the speaker. The adding unit, when the TV signal receiving unit receives the broadcast wave, adds and transmits, to the speaker, the first audio signal and the second audio signal, and outputs a signal resulting from the addition as the reference signal to the echo canceller.

An information processing device for executing a compressed program includes: an instruction buffer; a first selector for selectively outputting one of a set of signals obtained by dividing the output from the instruction buffer; an instruction decompression section for decompressing the output from the first selector into an original instruction; a second selector for outputting the output from the instruction buffer when no compressed instruction is stored in the instruction buffer and outputting the output from the instruction decompression section otherwise; an instruction decoding section for outputting a signal indicating presence/absence of instruction branching based on a result of decoding the output from the selector; and a control section for instructing the first selector to select a predetermined one of the received signals when the signal from the instruction decoding section indicates that there is instruction branching.

A block boundary where blocking artifact occurs or a lock where ringing artifact occurs is definitely detected. The noise detecting method includes the steps of: extracting coding information, including orthogonal transformation coefficients and a motion vector of each of multiple blocks of an image, from a bitstream that has been encoded through motion compensation of the image, orthogonal transformation and quantization, where the orthogonal transformation is performed on each said block; obtaining a reference area of each said block from a reference frame using the motion vector of the block; and detecting coding noise to be eliminated according to frequency component distributions of the orthogonal transformation coefficients of each said block and another one of the blocks within the reference frame overlapping the reference area of the block.
