The radio network system includes a plurality of mobile stations, a radio network controller operable to receive first location registration information for a location registration request from the mobile station, operable to transmit second location registration information including a femtocell identifier used to identify that the radio network controller is a device for a femtocell in the first location registration information to a first core network device, a first core network device operable to receive the second location registration information transmitted from the radio network controller, operable to transmit location registration rejection information used to indicate a rejection of storing location information to the radio network controller, and a second core network device operable to receive the second location registration information transmitted from the radio network controller that have received the location registration rejection information transmitted from the first core network device.

Radio network system

A radio access network includes a storage that stores data to be transferred from a base station to a mobile station. When an intensity of a signal received by the mobile station from the base station falls below a threshold, receiving an indication indicating the intensity from the mobile station, and when a plurality of indications are received, an amount of data transferable to the mobile station until a communication with the mobile station becomes unavailable is calculated, based on the indications and times when the indications are received, and the data is transferred to the mobile station in the calculated amount or smaller.

Radio access network, base station, and data transfer method

A mobile communication system includes a base station control apparatus, and first and second type base stations having a receiving unit that receives a predetermined signal transmitted from the base station control apparatus. The base station control apparatus includes a type determining unit that determines whether a type of the base station is the second type base station, a transmission period setting unit that sets a transmission period of the predetermined signal for the base station determined to be the second type base stations by the type determining unit, to be longer than a transmission period of the predetermined signal for the base station not determined to be the second type base station, and a transmitting unit that periodically transmits the predetermined signal to the base stations, based on a transmission period set for each of the base stations by the transmission period setting unit.

Mobile communication system, signal transmission method thereof, and transmitting node

In a mobile-communication system including a base-transceiver station (BTS), a visitor-location register (VLR), and controllers for controlling a mobile station (MS), the controllers including at least one mobile-switching center (MSC) each controlling at least one radio-network controller (RNC), when a location-registration request is transmitted from the MS, it is determined whether or not being located in a controlled area of the controllers is allowed. If being located in a controlled area of one of the controllers is not allowed, re-location registration is performed for a cell placed under control of the other controller. If it is difficult to perform the re-location registration, forced-location registration is performed so that the location of a different MS is registered with a different cell. Subsequently, it becomes possible to decrease the state where originating calls are made with difficulty when subscribers are concentrated in a predetermined area.

Method of registering location of mobile-communication system and device therefor

A method of registering a service whereby a mobile-communication terminal of a given communication-service provider roaming in a network of a foreign communication-service provider registers a service includes the steps of sending a provider identifier of the foreign communication-service provider from the network to the mobile-communication terminal, storing the provider identifier in the mobile-communication terminal, providing a service-code-correspondence table in the mobile-communication terminal, the table showing correspondences of service codes between a plurality of communication-service providers including the given communication-service provider and the foreign communication-service provider, identifying a service code of the foreign communication-service provider corresponding to a service code of the given communication-service provider by referring to the table and the provider identifier when the service code of the given communication-service provider is entered in the mobile-communication terminal, and sending the service code of the foreign communication-service provider from the mobile-communication terminal to the network.

Method of registering services in mobile-communication system

An apparatus and a method for performing a call control in a mobile communication system including a home location register storing subscriber data for a home subscriber, a mobile switching center storage storing call connection information and a visitor location register for storing subscriber data for a roaming subscriber. The present invention determines in response to a service request signal that subscriber data is to be stored in the visitor location register and that there is no area therein for storing the subscriber data and based on the determining, retrieves the subscriber data from the home location register and stores the retrieved data in the mobile switching center storage area or overwrites the retrieved data in the visitor location register area.
