Provided is a chair suited to the use of a keyboard or mouse, the chair has a seatand a rocking backrest. The seatcomprises a first sectionand a second section. The first sectionof the seatis affixed to a seat-mounting shellis attached to a base, via a seat-mounting fixture, so as to be slide forwards and backwards. The backresthas a back cover, a back paneland a cushion move downwards while rotating in a seesaw fashion during rocking. The front end of the back coveris connected to the seat-mounting fixtureby means of a connecting pin. When the chair rocks, the seatmoves forwards as a whole while the second sectiontilts backward.

Rocking chair

A chair is provided with a basefixed at an upper end of a leg pillar, a back support unitattached to the baseso as to tilt backward, a backrestattached to the back support unit, and a spring unitsupporting the backward tilt of the back support unit. The spring unitis to expand and contract in a back and forth direction when viewed from above and arranged further behind than a tilt supporting point 16of the back support unit. The back support unit, the spring unit, and the baseconstitute a kind of link mechanism and the spring unitwill expand and contract mainly at the front end, while tilting backward.

Chair and support mechanism unit thereof

A chair is provided which includes an inner member for supporting the body of a person and an outer member for supporting the right and left edges of the inner member. The inner member is made of a synthetic resin and formed into a plate so that the inner member is elastically deformed under the weight of the person. The inner member is attached to the outer member with its side portions supported. Thus, behind the inner member is a space for allowing the inner member to be deformed. In order to be applied to the seat of a chair, preferably, the outer member includes a metal base and a pair of auxiliary supporting elements to be fitted on the metal base. The inner member and the auxiliary supporting elements are fixed to each other in a non-releasable manner by an engaging assembly including engagement nails and engagement holes.

Body supporting apparatus

Modular clutch construction in which a clutch cover assembly, concentrically containing a pressure plate actuating a clutch disc assembly, is fixed to the flywheel of an engine as a modular unit. The construction improves the modular connection between the clutch cover peripheral wall and the flywheel; in particular through the use of pins to restrain the cover from whirling relative to the flywheel, and by a taking advantage of a method of starter ring-gear installation in which the gear is shrink-fitted over the flywheel with the clutch cover peripheral wall intervening, such that the circumferential end margin of the clutch cover is simultaneously clamped between the ring gear and the flywheel cylindrical surface. The clutch cover is thus secured onto the flywheel in an assembly stage of reduced steps, by comparison with methods employing bolts or other fasteners-as the primary connecting means. The modular connection can further be by matching mortise and tenon forms, or by mutually engaging threads, in corresponding portions of the flywheel and the clutch cover.

Modular clutch construction

A modular clutch includes a flywheel 2, a clutch cover assembly 3 and a clutch disk assembly 4, which form a single module that in one embodiment is installed directly onto the crankshaft of an engine, and in an alternate embodiment is attached to a flex plate. The modular clutch is configured to be installed and replaced as a unit. The clutch cover assembly 3 has a clutch cover 21, a pressure plate 22 and diaphragm spring 23. The clutch disk assembly 4 has a clutch engagement portion 31 made of a metallic sintered body.

A clutch cover assembly is used for urging a friction member connected to an output member against an input rotation member and for releasing urging on the input rotation member. The clutch cover assembly comprises a clutch cover, a pressure plate, an urging member, a support mechanism and a movement regulation mechanism. The clutch cover is fixed to the input rotation member. The pressure plate is located within the clutch cover and urges the friction member. The urging member urges the pressure plate toward the friction member. The support mechanism is movable toward the friction member and supports the urging member. The movement regulation mechanism moves the support member toward the friction member according to wear displacement of the friction member.

Clutch cover assembly

A damper disc assembly comprises an input rotation member, a flanged hub connectable to an output member, an elastic member elastically connecting the input rotation member and the hub flange, a plurality of friction members and an regulator. The plurality of friction members are sandwiched between the input rotation member and the hub flange and develop hysteresis torque when the input rotation member rotates relative to the hub. The regulator enables a select number friction members to be functional depending on whether the damper assembly responds to phases of twisting of the input rotation member relative to the hub flange in either a direction positive or negative with respect to the rotation of the input rotation member.

Damper disk assembly

A clutch cover assembly is used for urging a friction member connected to an output member against an input rotation member and for releasing urging on the input rotation member. The clutch cover assembly comprises a clutch cover, a pressure plate, an urging member, a support mechanism and a movement regulation mechanism. The clutch cover is fixed to the input rotation member. The pressure plate is located within said clutch cover and urges the friction member. The urging member urges the pressure plate toward the friction member. The support mechanism is movable toward the friction member and supports the urging member. The movement regulation mechanism moves the support member toward the friction member according to wear displacement of the friction member.

Pull-type clutch cover assembly

A release assembly releases a pull-type clutch by extracting the radially inward portion of its diaphragm spring in the direction of an associated transmission. It comprises a support member fixed onto the radially inward margin of the diaphragm spring; a wire ring retained in the interior of the support member; and a release bearing which includes an inner race member having an axial sleeve extension which fastens to the support member through the wire ring, and a retaining part for holding the wire ring securely and coaxially when the release bearing is connected or disconnected to the support member. The wire ring thus cannot impede smooth installation of the release bearing into the support member.
