A one-side-roughened rolled plate-like or plate-shaped body containing a converging pigment comprises a plate-like body formed from a resin composition which comprises a crystalline thermoplastic resin and a converging pigment in an amount ranging from 0.001 to 0.5 part by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin, wherein one of the sides thereof is smooth and the other side thereof is roughened and wherein the overall haze thereof is not less than 50% and the internal haze thereof is not more than 10%. The rolled plate-like body can be prepared by rolling the foregoing plate-like body at a temperature of not more than the melting point of the resin and a thickness reduction of not less than 40% and then surface-roughening the body simultaneously with or after the rolling treatment. The rolled plate-like body can be made partially transparent upon using the same and thus makes it possible to display the color of the converging pigment clearly and brilliantly at the edge of the transparent region. Therefore, it is useful in wide variety of fields such as containers, packaging materials and character goods.

A resin composition for cleaning the inside of molding machines, capable of easily achieving color exchange and the resin exchange of thermoplastic resins in various molding machines, in a small quantity, by a simple operation and in a short time is provided, which resin composition is a cleaning resin composition having 1-10 wt. % of a polyethylene wax, 1-20 wt. % of a neutral salt of an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid and 1-20 wt. % of an inorganic filler, blended with a high density polyethylene resin having a melt index of 1.0 or less and a Q value expressing a molecular weight distribution, of 10 or less.

Cleaning resin composition

A resin composition for cleaning the inside of molding machines, capable of easily achieving the color exchange and resin exchange of thermoplastic resins in various molding machines, in a small quantity, by a simple operation and in a short time is provided, which resin composition is a cleaning resin composition having (a) 1-10 wt. % of a polystyrene resin, 1-20 wt. % of a neutral salt of an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid, 1-30 wt. % of an inorganic filler and 0.5-10 wt. % of a water-repellent compound blended with a high density polyethylene resin having a melt index of 1.0 or less and a Q value expressing a molecular weight distribution, of 10 or less.

The present invention provides a process for preparing rolled heat-treated films or sheets of a crystalline thermoplastic resin in which heat shrinkage is notably improved, formability is excellent and tensile strength in a transverse direction is increased. The process of the present invention comprises the steps of rolling a crystalline thermoplastic resin material between at least one pair of rolls at a temperature which is lower than the melting point of the resin material but higher than room temperature, and then successively subjecting the resin material to a heat treatment at a temperature which is higher than the rolling temperature but lower than the melting point of the resin material. The heat treatment is carried out for a time (t: seconds) satisfying the formula ##EQU1## wherein d is the thickness (mm) of the rolled films or sheets, r is the thickness reduction rate of the rolled films or sheets, Tr is the rolling temperature (.degree.C.), Ta is the heat treatment temperature (.degree.C.), and Tm is the melting point (.degree.C.) of the crystalline resin.

Process for preparing rolled heat-treated films or sheets

A process is provided for producing a rolled thermoplastic resin film or sheet having a small difference in mechanical strength between the longitudinal and lateral dimensions of the film or sheet comprising rolling a thermoplastic resin material at least once by means of a pair of rolls arranged obliquely to the advancing direction of the resin material, followed by further rolling at least once the resulting film or sheet by means of another pair of rolls arranged obliquely to the advancing direction of the material, but symmetrically opposite to the former oblique arrangement, the temperature of the rolling and further rolling being room temperature or higher and lower than the melting point or softening point of the resin material, and the distance (d.sub.1) between the lateral end parts on one side of each pair of rolls which first contact the resin material being less than the distance (d.sub.2) between lateral end parts on the opposite side of each pair of rolls.
