A door assembly for vehicles includes a space defined between a door inner panel and a door trimming, in which a door locking device for holding a vehicle door on a vehicle body is accommodated so as to be secured on the door inner panel. A key cylinder and a connecting rod for a door outside handle are arranged between a door outer panel and the door inner panel, and a locking lever and an opening lever of the door locking device are placed in the space connected to the key cylinder and the connecting rod.

A vehicle door assembly includes a door inner panel having a hinge attachment portion on which is to be mounted a pair of door hinge devices and a lock attachment portion on which is to be mounted a door lock device. A base panel has four arm portions that connect the base panel to the door inner panel. The four arm portions include first and a second arm portions fixed to the hinge attachment portion of the door inner panel, and a third arm portion attached to the lock attachment portion of the door inner panel.

A gas shielded arc welding torch is described which uses a consumable electrode wire. A cylindrical support member carries a guide tube for guiding the electrode wire through the torch. An electrical contact member is pivotably mounted at the end of the torch and includes a bore through which the wire passes. A spring biases the contact member into constant engagement with the electrode wire. A gas nozzle is mounted on the cylindrical support member and is movable with the contact member to provide a uniform, constant-dimensioned shielding gas passage around the contact member regardless of the movement thereof.
