An engine cover () is provided between a counterweight () and a rear surface part (B) of a cab () to be capable of opening/closing in an upper-lower direction and a heat exchanger cover () is provided between the rear side of a left side surface part (C) and a right side surface part (D) of the cab () and a revolving frame (). The heat exchanger cover () is formed of a horizontal-opening structure of being rotatable in a front-rear direction to the revolving frame () with a front end (C) in the front-rear direction as a fulcrum and a rear end (D) in the front-rear direction as a free end. A heat exchanger cover lock mechanism () is provided on the rear end side of the heat exchanger cover () to hold the heat exchanger cover () in a closed state, and in a state where both the heat exchanger cover () and the engine cover () are closed, the engine cover () covers the rear end (D) of the heat exchanger cover () and the heat exchanger cover lock mechanism () from backward.

An upper revolving structure () includes a revolving frame (), an engine (), a fuel tank (), an operator's seat platform () provided by covering an upper side of the fuel tank (), an operator's seat () mounted on the operator's seat platform (), and a cab () covering a periphery of the operator's seat (). The fuel tank () is disposed between the revolving frame () and the operator's seat platform (), brought closer to a left surface part () side of the cab (). A level gauge () is provided on an outer surface of the fuel tank (). A fuel filling opening () surrounding a fuel filling port (J) of the fuel tank () and a level gauge opening () are provided on the left surface part () of the cab ().

Small-sized construction machine

A compact excavator includes: a swing post which is attached to a upperstructure and which can swing in a left/right direction, a working device which is attached to the swing post and which includes a boom cylinder, a counterweight, and hydraulic hoses which extend upwards between opposite side plates of the swing post, and through which pressure oil for driving the boom cylinder of the working device is guided. The compact excavator further includes a guide plate which is provided in the swing post, and which guides the hydraulic hoses downwards while restricting the hydraulic hoses from moving to approach a handrail when the hydraulic hoses attempt to expand toward the handrail due to driving of the working device.

Disclosed is a construction machine that enables an operator to operate a vehicle width changing control lever while visually confirming positions of crawlers. The construction machine further includes a hydraulically actuated cylinder for changing vehicle width, disposed between the left and right crawler track devices, the vehicle width changing cylinder changing the interval between the left and right crawler track devices upon supply and discharge of a hydraulic fluid being controlled by a vehicle width changing control valve, and a vehicle width changing control leverdisposed on a left section of a swing body support structurerelative to an operator's seat, the vehicle width changing control lever operating the vehicle width changing control valve.

Construction machine

A control valve block is mounted on a bottom plate of a revolving frame through a control valve block mounting plate. In this case, a left support member and a right support member are provided on a back surface of the control valve block mounting plate at two spots with equal distances sandwiching a center position of gravity (G) of the control valve block. The left and right support members are mounted on a support beam provided on the bottom plate of the revolving frame. On the other hand, a weight-reducing part is provided at a part in the bottom plate of the revolving frame away from the support beam. The control valve block which is a heavy article is stably supported on the bottom plate at two spots sandwiching its center position of gravity (G). Moreover, the weight of the revolving frame can be reduced by the weight-reducing part.

[Problem] To provide a construction machine with a step arranged in an operator's cab, which makes it possible to enlarge the shape or dimensions of the step without increasing a swing radius. [Solution] In a compact excavator provided with a step that facilitates ingress to and egress from the operator's cab (), the step is provided at a part thereof with an outwardly-extending edge portion () that extends out beyond an opening plane () forming an ingress/egress opening (), and a door () is provided at a part thereof with a convex part () that covers the outwardly-extending edge portion () of the step when the door () is in a closed position. A floor () of the operator's cab () includes a flat part () arranged on a front side of a seat () and a stepped part () arranged in conjunction with the flat part () and on a side of the ingress/egress opening, a flange part () which lies in a same plane as the stepped part () of the floor () is arranged in conjunction with the stepped part () and in the operator's cab (), the step includes the stepped part () of the floor () and the flange part (), and the flange part () is provided with the outwardly-extending edge portion ().

An operator's seat mounting section () that is positioned in back side of a floor member () includes a seat plate (D) for mounting an operator's seat () and an equipment mounting part (F) that rises upward from the right side of the seat plate (D), and a right operating lever assembly () is provided in front of the equipment mounting part (F). A controller accommodating space () is provided to be positioned in back side of a console (A) of the right operating lever assembly () and between a side surface (F) of the equipment mounting part (F) of the operator's seat mounting section () and the operator's seat (), and a controller () is mounted in the controller accommodating space () to control various kinds of electric equipment.

An upper revolving structure () includes a revolving frame (), a floor member () which is provided on the revolving frame () and a front side of which serves as a footrest section () on which an operator rests his or her feet, a cab box () which forms an operating room () above the floor member (), and an indoor unit () disposed on the floor member () to supply sucked air as conditioned air. A lower surface (B) side of the footrest section () of the floor member () is formed as a unit mounting surface (), and, as for the indoor unit (), a box body () is disposed on the lower side of the unit mounting surface () and, in this state, the box body () is mounted on the unit mounting surface () by means of a plurality of bolts ().

A floor member comprises a lever-pedal mounting part in a front side, an operator's seat mounting part in a rear side, an indoor unit mounting surface part on which an indoor unit is mounted under the operator's seat mounting part, an entrance surface part which is provided in a door side between the indoor unit mounting surface part and the lever-pedal mounting part and on which an operator places a foot at getting-in/off, and a foot rest part which is surrounded by the lever-pedal mounting part, the indoor unit mounting surface part and the entrance surface part. The indoor unit mounting surface part and the entrance surface part form a successive plane successively extending with each other in a position lower by one step than the lever-pedal mounting part and the foot rest part.

On a seat base () of a floor member (), a rear surface plate (C), an operator's seat mounting plate (D) on which an operator's seat () is mounted at a position higher than a footrest area () on which the foot is placed, and a duct accommodating space () formed in the vertical direction among the rear surface plate (C), the operator's seat mounting plate (D), and a rear position (B) of the footrest area () are provided. An indoor air inlet duct () having the front surface side opened as a filter fitting hole () and introducing air in an occupying space () toward an indoor unit () of an air-conditioning unit is provided on the duct accommodating space (). An indoor air filter () for catching dusts in the air is provided on the filter fitting hole () of the indoor air inlet duct ().

An upper revolving structure is provided with a revolving frame, a floor member, and a cab box. On this, an indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided on the floor member, and an outdoor air inlet port is provided by being opened to the outside of the cab box. An outdoor air duct is provided for supplying outdoor air introduced through the outdoor air inlet port toward the indoor unit. In this duct, an intermediate portion is arranged at a high position on the side of an operator's seat, and on this intermediate portion, a filter accommodating portion is provided by being opened into the cab box. In the filter accommodating portion, an outdoor air filter for trapping dusts in the outdoor air flowing through the outdoor air duct is accommodated capable of being attached and removed.

A floor member is formed by a seat support platform on a rear side and a footrest area located on a front side of the seat support platform, and a cab box is formed by a front panel, a rear panel, a left front side panel, a left rear side panel, a right side panel, and a top panel. A right reinforcing panel is provided at a right side position of the floor member and rises upwardly of the footrest area. The right side panel of the cab box corresponding to this right reinforcing panel is provided with a notched portion for avoiding interference with the right reinforcing panel. Accordingly, since the strength at the right side position of the floor member can be enhanced by the right reinforcing panel, it is possible to prevent deformation such as torsion and distortion when the floor member is tilted up.

A suction duct () provided in a floor member () comprises an internal air duct portion () connected to the internal air inlet port (A), an external air duct portion () connected to an external air inlet port (E), and a common duct portion () for connecting the internal air duct portion () and the external air duct portion () to a blower fanB suction side of an air conditioner unit (). The suction duct is constructed to form a hollow column () having a hollow closed section structure with the internal air duct portion and the common duct portion formed integrally in the upper and lower directions. Therefore, the hollow column formed of the hollow closed section structure can increase strength of the floor member as a strong column while circulating internal air between the internal air inlet port and the air conditioner unit.
