There is provided a pharmaceutical drug, particularly a novel compound useful for prophylaxis or a therapeutic treatment of various diseases involving infections with viruses of the herpesvirus family, specifically various herpesvirus infections such as varicella (chicken pox) via varicella zoster virus, varicella zoster via recurrent infection with latent varicella zoster virus, herpes labialis and herpes encephalitis via HSV-1 and genital herpes via HSV-2 infection. An N-{2-[(4-substituted phenyl)amino]-2-oxoethyl}tetrahydro-2H-thiopyran-4-carboxamide derivative, of which phenyl group is substituted at position 4 with a specific 5- or 6-membered heteroaryl group, and a salt thereof have an effective anti-virus activity, and the oral administration thereof at a low dose enabled the therapeutic treatment of the above diseases.

A coil assembly for reducing variations in characteristic impedance includes a winding section having a first surface and a second surface on the opposite side of the winding section from the first surface, a plurality of first protrusions provided on the first surface, and a plurality of second protrusions provided on the second surface. These protrusions are identical in shape to each other and are arrayed linearly on their respective surfaces so that the first protrusions are offset from the second protrusions. A noise filter providing a simplified construction and capable of being used regardless of a diameter of a cable or a numbers of cables. The noise filter includes a core-holding section for holding a core, first and second cable-guiding sections, and two coupling sections coupling the first and second cable-guiding sections to ends of the core-holding section. The first and second cable-guiding section have truncated conical shape, and each divided into the four parts by a first to fourth slits arrayed in cruciform shape whose crossing position is coincident with an imaginary apex of the cable-guiding section. The coupling section has first to fourth circumferential elongated slots in communication with the proximal ends of the first to fourth slits.

Noise filter having case and core assembled therein

The invention relates to a novel amide derivative which is an N-({[4-(substituted thiazol-4-yl)phenyl]carbamoyl}methyl)amide derivative having a characteristic in that an aryl or heteroaryl group as an aromatic ring group is directly substituted on the N atom of amido group. Since said amide derivative has excellent anti-herpesvirus action, it is useful as medicaments and antiviral agents, particularly as preventive or therapeutic agents for various diseases accompanied by Herpesviridae virus infections, illustratively, varicella (chickenpox) accompanied by varicella zoster virus infection, shingles accompanied by the recurrent infection of latent varicella zoster virus, labial herpes and herpes encephalitis accompanied by HSV-1 infection, genital herpes accompanied by HSV-2 and the like various herpesvirus infections.

A superconductor device comprises a Schottky barrier region S.sub.B for selectively passing injected carriers and a collector barrier region L.sub.B for selectively blocking leakage carriers. Highly pure disilicon hexafluoride is synthesized by a process in which a suspension of a fluorination agent is made by dispersing this fluorination agent in an oxybenzene compound as a solvent and disilicon hexachloride is dripped in the suspension to be caused to react with the fluorination agent in nitrogen gas flows under atmospheric pressure, the oxybenzene being expressed by a following formula: ##STR1## (where each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is an alkyl group alternatively having one or more substituents; carbon numbers summed up by R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are equal to at least 2; and m.gtoreq.1 and n.gtoreq.0).

Synthesis of pure disilicon hexafluoride

The present invention provides a process for producing a superconducting transistor on a surface of an insulating substrate. A pre-superconducting thin film contains a material that can be changed into a superconductor during subsequent processing but which is initially a non-superconductor. A thin film containing the material required by the pre-superconducting thin film is deposited in a preferred pattern on the pre-superconducting thin film. The assembly thus formed is heat treated to permit the material from the thin film to enter the pre-superconducting thin film, thereby forming superconducting regions in the pre-superconducting thin film in the preferred pattern. The superconducting regions form electrodes of the transistor.

Process for producing a superconducting transistor

A radio-wave absorptive gasket capable particularly of absorbing micro-wave over 10 GHz is provided. The gasket comprises a mixture of Mn-Zn ferrite powder consisting of 4 to 22 mol% MnO, 10 to 18 mol% ZnO and 66 to 78 mole% Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 with rubber of plastic material.
