A state estimation apparatus includes: a rate calculating configured to calculate, based on both a flow rate and an air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas flowing into an oxygen storage catalyst, a rate of change in an oxygen storage amount in the oxygen storage catalyst; a limit calculating unit configured to calculate a limit rate which is a limit value for the rate of change; and a storage-amount updating unit configured to update, based on the rate of change and the limit rate, an estimated value of the oxygen storage amount. Moreover, the storage-amount updating unit is further configured to: update, when the rate of change does not exceed the limit rate, the estimated value based on the rate of change; and update, when the rate of change exceeds the limit rate, the estimated value based on the limit rate.

State estimation apparatus

In a control device for an internal combustion engine, a learning map includes at least one partitioned operating region. The at least one partitioned operating region corresponds to at least one of operating conditions of the internal combustion engine. The learning map includes a value of at least one control parameter stored in the at least one partitioned operating region. A control unit controls the internal combustion engine in accordance with the at least one control parameter. An updating unit learns a value of the at least one control parameter for the at least one of the operating conditions, thus performing an updating of the value of the at least one control parameter stored in the at least one partitioned operating region to the learned value. A partition changing unit changes a partition pattern of the learning map.

Control device

An air fuel ratio control apparatus controls an air fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes an upstream sensor measuring the air fuel ratio of exhaust gas in an exhaust passage at an upstream side of a purification catalyst; a downstream sensor measuring the air fuel ratio of the exhaust gas in the exhaust passage at a downstream side of the purification catalyst; and a control unit that adjusts an amount of fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine, thereby controlling the air fuel ratio measured at the upstream sensor to be a target air fuel ratio. The control unit performs a calibration control where a calibration value corresponding to the air fuel ratio deviation is added to or subtracted from the target air fuel ratio such that the air fuel ratio deviation approaches zero.

Electrically-powered steering apparatus

A motor-driven power steering apparatus includes a motor for generating assisting force to be imparted to a steering mechanism, a control signal generation section for generating a motor control signal on the basis of at least steering torque applied to a steering wheel, a motor drive unit for driving the motor in accordance with the motor control signal, and a step-up circuit provided between a battery to the motor drive unit. The step-up circuit includes a step-up coil whose one end is connected to the battery, a first switching element connected between the other end of the step-up coil and the ground, a second switching element connected between the other end of the step-up coil and an output terminal, and a capacitor connected between the output terminal and the ground and smoothing output voltage appearing at the output terminal. The apparatus further includes a step-up circuit control unit which detects the output voltage and controls the first and second switching elements on the basis of difference between a target output voltage and the detected output voltage. During power generation periods, at least the first switching element is turned on and off in order to increase the output voltage supplied to the motor through step-up operation. During regeneration periods, at least the second switching element is turned on and off.

Motor-driven power steering apparatus

A pipe joint can be attached to a hydraulic apparatus so as to be able to absorb vibrations of a pipe or the like connected to thereto. The pipe joint comprises a joint member having one end provided with an externally threaded portion in which external threads are cut, an annular clearance groove and an O ring squeezing surface, and an intermediate member to be fixedly screwed in the hydraulic apparatus, provided with an internally threaded portion in which internal threads are cut and an annular clearance groove. When the externally threaded portion of the joint member is screwed completely in the intermediate member, the externally threaded portion of the joint member drops into the annular clearance groove of the intermediate member, and the internally threaded portion of the intermediate member drops into the annular clearance groove of the joint member, so that the joint member is able to turn relative to the intermediate member.
