An automobile cell is provided with an electric power generating element composed of a positive electrode having a positive electrode active substance layer, a negative electrode having a negative electrode active substance layer and a separator interposed between the electrodes, a cell outer sheath made of a laminate film compositely composed of polymer and metal, a positive electrode terminal lead electrically conductive with the positive electrode and extending to an outside of the cell outer sheath, and a negative electrode terminal lead electrically conductive with the negative electrode and extending to the outside of the cell outer sheath. The positive electrode and the negative electrode associated therewith via the separator defines a unit electrode, and the relationship between a thickness of the automobile cell and a sum of a thickness of the positive electrode active substance layer and a thickness of the negative electrode active substance layer of the unit electrodes, is defined such that a value obtained by dividing the former by the latter is equal to or less than 80.

According to the laminate cell, the heat capacity of a portion of the positive tab, onto which a plurality of the positive leads are joined, and the heat capacity of a portion of the negative tab, onto which a plurality of the negative leads are joined, are made larger than that of other portions of the positive tab and the negative tab.

A replacement data storage circuit stores an address of a defective memory cell. The replacement data storage circuit includes a plurality of word lines, a plurality of bit lines, and a plurality of replacement data memory cells. The replacement data memory cells are connected to the word lines and the bit lines to store an address of a defective memory cell. Each of the word lines is connected to a plurality of replacement data memory cells and each of the bit lines is connected to one replacement data memory cell.

A laminate packaging flat cell comprises a laminate film formed by combining polymer and metal with each other; a power generating element formed of a plurality of electrode plates and separators, and hermetically sealed by the laminate film; and an electrode terminal lead coupled to the electrode plate. In the laminate packaging flat cell of the present invention, the power generating element is hermetically sealed by forming a thermally welded portion on an outer periphery of the laminate film, and the electrode terminal lead protrudes from the thermally welded portion, and a through-hole is provided in a position thereof contacting the thermally welded portion.

A laminate battery is provided with a tab, an electric power generating element connected to the tab, and a laminate sheet allowing the electric power generating element to be accommodated. The laminate sheet includes a metallic layer and a thermally welding resin layer laminated on the metallic layer. The tab and the thermally welding resin layer are welded by permitting a thermally welding area, which is formed in at least one of the thermally welding resin layer and the tab, and the other of the thermally welding resin layer and the tab to be welded to one another.

A battery comprises at least two unit cells. Each of the at least two unit cells is provided with an outer sheath film composed of polymer-metal composite material, a positive-electrode current collector, a negative-electrode current collector, a separator disposed between the positive-electrode current collector and the negative-electrode current collector, one positive electrode tab to which the positive-electrode current collector is connected and protruding from a first sealed portion of the outer sheath film, one negative electrode tab to which the negative-electrode current collector is connected and protruding from a second sealed portion of the outer sheath film, a first polymer layer disposed between the positive electrode tab and the outer sheath film, and a second polymer layer disposed between the negative electrode tab and the outer sheath film.

A battery includes a plurality of flat type batteries and a connector member that electrically connect the plurality of flat type batteries to one another. Each of the plurality of flat type batteries is provided with an outer sheath having a composite laminate film, an electric power generating component, which includes a positive electrode plate, a separator and a negative electrode plate and is accommodated in the outer sheath by compelling at least a part of a circumference of the outer sheath to be joined by thermally welded portions, a positive-electrode terminal lead conductive with the positive electrode plate and held between the thermally welded portions, and a negative-electrode terminal lead conductive with the negative electrode plate and held between the thermally welded portions. At least one of the positive-electrode terminal lead and the negative-electrode terminal lead has a surface covering layer made of a metal different from that of its terminal mother material.

A sound absorbing-insulating structure for vehicles includes a sound absorbing layer which contains cellulose fibers containing cotton yarns, pulp fibers, etc. and synthetic resin as principle components. The sound absorbing-insulating structure for vehicles, in which a content rate of the synthetic resin is in the range of 0.01 to 80 wt %, and a surface density is in the range of 0.2 to 3 kg/m , is provided. This sound absorbing-insulating structure has a good sound absorbing-characteristic and is light in weight and inexpensive in cost.

A reactance of a reactance element in a multi-layer circuit board apparatus is trimmed by cutting a portion of the circuit pattern of the reactance element with a laser beam. The reactance element is sandwiched between grounded layers. A coil circuit pattern having at least a hole therein may be provided as the reactance element. A side portion between the edge of the coil circuit pattern and the hole is cut with the laser beam to trim the inductive reactance. Cutting is effected while the circuit is operated and the operating condition such as an oscillation frequency is observed. A plurality of holes may be provided in the coil circuit pattern. The trimming amount of the inductive reactance is determined by the number of the hole subjected to cutting. The holes may have different sizes. The trimming amount is obtained by which one of the hole is subjected to cutting. The distance between the cut circuit pattern is equal to or larger than the thickness of the circuit pattern. A capacitive element may be provided as the reactance element which includes first and second comb circuit patterns of which teeth are interlace with each other. A portion of a tooth is cut to trim the capacitive reactance. Another capacitive reactance element including two conductor insulated with a dielectric substrate can be also trimmed similarly.
