An epoxy optical sheet comprising a hardened sheet of an epoxy resin and another resin layer formed on one side thereof. The sheet has a retardation of 5 nm or less, an average thickness of 500 &mgr;m or less, a thickness accuracy of &plusmn;10% or less, a glass transition temperature of 170&deg; C. or above, and a smooth surface. The epoxy optical sheet is made by a continuous process which comprises: successively forming a strippable resin layer on a support having a smooth surface; successively spreading an epoxy resin coating solution comprising an epoxy resin, a hardener, a hardening accelerator, and a leveling agent, on the resin layer in the form of a sheet; followed by a hardening treatment, thereby forming a hardened sheet adhering to the resin layer; and, at the same time, recovering the hardened sheet together with the resin layer from the support.

Epoxy optical sheet and process for producing the same

An epoxy optical sheet having a thickness of 500 &mgr;m or less, a high thickness accuracy, a small retardation and an excellent heat resistance; and a process by which the optical sheet can be efficiently produced.

A sheet for protecting a paint film which does not deteriorate or discolor the paint film even when the sheet is adhered to protect the paint film under the condition containing acidic rainwater or detergent and can maintain the adhered state over an extended-period of time without peeling off is disclosed. The sheet for protecting a paint film comprises a porous substrate and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on one surface of the porous substrate. The sheet has an air permeability in a direction of sheet thickness of 20,000 sec/100 cc or more and a moisture permeability in a direction of sheet thickness of 2,000 g/m &middot;24 hr or more. The sheet for protecting a paint film further comprises a porous substrate and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on one surface of the porous substrate, wherein the porous substrate has an ultraviolet transmission of 10% or less at a wavelength of from 190 to 370 nm.

There is provided an optical member having an optical material and a tacky layer provided on at least one surface of the optical material. The tacky layer has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm based on 90&deg; peeling from a resin substrate and has an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70&deg; C. for 5 hours. There is also provided a cell substrate made of a resin substrate. The resin substrate has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm on based on 90&deg; peeling from the tacky layer provided on the optical material and having an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70&deg; C. for 5 hours. And there is provided a liquid-crystal display in which the optical member is adhesively bonded through the tacky layer of the optical member to the surface of a liquid-crystal cell formed by used of the cell substrate.

An adhesive sheet with a foamed substrate, comprising a substrate comprising a foamed elastomer having specific properties, and a layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive formed on the substrate. Due to use of the substrate having specific properties, the adhesive sheet has excellent adhesive properties to rough surfaces and also has excellent oil resistant adhesive properties.

In a hydraulic rodless cylinder type actuator, a piston is movable back and forth in a hydraulic cylinder. Housing elements are respectively mounted on the opposite ends of the cylinder. Parallel output shafts are respectively accommodated in the housing elements and protrude therefrom in a fluid-tight condition. The linear movement of the piston is translated into the rotation of the output shafts by flexible inner power transmission elements. Flexible outer power transmission elements are provided on the protruding ends of the output shafts in order to deliver a high output from a high-pressure chamber defined in the cylinder to the outside of the cylinder.

Hydraulic rodless cylinder type actuator

An actuator operable to serve concurrently or selectively as a rotary actuator and/or as a linear motion actuator is provided, which comprises a piston-cylinder unit (20, 21), a pair of substantially parallel output shafts (22, 22) having axes substantially perpendicular to the central axis of the cylinder (20) and respectively including confined portions sealingly enclosed in the fluid-tight chamber defined by the cylinder and exposed portions projecting via seal means (45) out of said fluid-tight chamber, a substantially non-extensible and substantially flexible shut-in power transmission element (26) fixedly connected to the piston of said piston-cylinder unit at the substantial center thereof and having ends fixedly connected relative to said confined portions of said pair of substantially parallel output shafts (22, 22), and a shut-out power transmission element (27) having ends fixedly connected relative to said exposed portions of said pair of substantially parallel output shafts (22, 22), said shut-in and shut-out power transmission elements (26, 27) in combination with said paired output shafts (22, 22) being operatively associated such that they constitute a complete pulley system to be driven responsive to the reciprocal movement of said piston (21) to transmit linear motion and/or rotational actuating powers.
