A valve device with fail-safe mechanism capable of improved production efficiency includes a valve element, a valve element housing, a third communication port provided in the valve element housing, and a fail-safe mechanism. The fail-safe mechanism includes a thermo-element and an element housing that houses the thermo-element. The element housing has a large-diameter housing, a small-diameter housing portion that accommodates the thermo-element, and a step. A valve element communicating portion communicating with the valve element housing is provided to the small-diameter housing portion. The fail-safe mechanism includes a valve plate member for closing the step and a coil spring that biases the valve plate member. A third adapter provided to the third communication port is provided with a through-hole that enables the large-diameter housing portion and the third communication port to communicate with each other.

Valve device with fail-safe mechanism

A thermoelectric conversion module has a plurality of cold side substrates, a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of thermoelectric conversion elements, a plurality of second electrodes, X-axis connectors, and Y-axis connectors. The second electrodes are disposed on the cold side substrates six at a time. Between adjacent cold side substrates, two of X-axis connectors as inter-substrate connectors or Y-axis connectors are disposed. One of the plurality of inter-substrate connectors is connected from one of the first electrodes positioned on one of the cold side substrates to one of the second electrodes positioned on another one of the cold side substrates. The other inter-substrate connector is connected from the other one of the first electrodes on the another one of the cold side substrates to the second electrode on the one cold side substrate.

Thermoelectric conversion module

A thermoelectric conversion module has a substrate, a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of thermoelectric conversion elements, a plurality of second electrodes, and connectors. The plurality of thermoelectric conversion elementsare n-type elements, connected in series. The connectoris formed as a single unit with the second electrodesand separate from the first electrodes. A receptorthat accepts the tip of the connectoris provided to each of the first electrodes. Six element rowsof five thermoelectric conversion elementsaligned along the X axis are arrayed along the Y axis. The receptorsare configured to accept connectorsof the same shape whether electrically connecting the thermoelectric conversion elementswithin the element rowsor electrically connecting between adjacent element rows. The first electrodesand second electrodesare all the same shape.

A thermostat device has a thermo element assembly () configured by a piston (), a thermal expansion unit that changes volume with a change in temperature, to reciprocate a cylinder container () with respect to the piston, and a heating element (H) that is provided in a casing of the piston and heats the thermal expansion unit (W) when supplied with current. An assembling hole () is provided in the device housing to hold an outer end of the thermo element assembly by causing the outer end to pass therethrough toward the outside of the device. A piston guide () is provided at a section on the upper end side of the piston configuring the thermo element assembly. An outer end of the piston guide is integrally joined to the housing side while being inserted from the inside of the device housing () into the assembling hole to pass therethrough.

Thermostat device

Provided is a temperature sensitive indicator, which can be held in a desired state and is not affected by temperature of a finger at the time of an operation of the temperature sensitive indicator. The temperature sensitive indicator includes: a member base () including an upper base member () and a lower base member (); and a label component () sandwiched and held between the upper base member and the lower base member of the member base under a state in which a pulled-out portion on one end side of the label component is protruded outward. By pulling one end of the label component out of the member base, a capsule () is pressed in a convex portion () provided on any one of or both of the upper base member and the lower base member and is broken to enter a preparatory state for measurement, and a temperature sensitive material melts at a predetermined temperature or more so as to be absorbed by an absorbent paper (), enabling confirmation of a fact that the temperature sensitive indicator senses a set temperature or more through confirmation of color development of the absorbent paper.

Temperature-sensitive indicator

A temperature sensing indicator provided with a capsule having a temperature sensing material contained that can be used without being affected by the temperature of fingers and allows the capsule to be easily broken. The temperature sensing indicator irreversibly indicates that a sensed temperature is not lower than a predetermined temperature or not higher than the predetermined temperature when a capsule containing a temperature sensing material is broken. The temperature sensing indicator has a body base made of a plastic material having a recess section formed therein; the capsule contained in the recess and containing the temperature sensing material, an absorbing member mounted on the upper part of the recess, and in which a through hole that exposes a portion of the upper surface of the absorbing member is formed. Pressing the display label crushes the recess in the body base to break the capsule.

Temperature sensing indicator and temperature sensing indicator device

To provide a temperature-sensitive indicator which, when using the temperature-sensitive indicator having a capsule packed with a heat-sensitive material, enables easy rupture of the capsule, without being affected by the temperature of a finger of a user. The indicator includes: a base; a concave portion formed in the base; a capsule accommodated in the concave portion and packed with a heat-sensitive material; an absorbing member placed on the capsule; pressing means which is arranged above the absorbing member, and which is formed of a transparent heat insulating material; and a cover which covers at least the capsule and the absorbing member. By pressing on the capsule using the pressing meansthe capsule is ruptured.

To provide a temperature sensitive indicator that is capable of easily control the temperature of the temperature sensitive indicator itself and is not affected by the temperature of a finger when the temperature sensitive indicator is operated. In the temperature sensitive indicator that has: a base body; a capsule placed on the base body and filled with a heat-sensitive material; an absorbent member placed on an upper part of the capsule; a cover covering at least the capsule and the absorbent member; and capsule breaking means formed therein with a space through which the base body and the cover are inserted, the base body and the cover are pulled out through the space of the capsule breaking means, whereby the capsule is broken by the capsule breaking means.

An electronically controlled thermostat control method is obtained which makes it possible to eliminate the response delay from the time that the required cooling water temperature is set to the time that the actual cooling water temperature reaches the set water temperature by controlling the flow rate, and to realize high cooling water temperature tracking characteristics with a high degree of precision at a low cost. The method of the present invention is characterized in that in an electronically controlled thermostat which is used to control the cooling water temperature of an engine, and which comprises an actuator that can arbitrarily vary the degree of valve opening without depending only on the actual cooling water temperature, the actuator is controlled by the control controller, which has means for calculating the elapsed time from the powering of the actuator to the variation of the water temperature for predicting the water temperature after the elapsed time when the cooling water temperature is controlled to an arbitrarily set water temperature, and the actuator is controlled in advance in accordance with the above-described predicted water temperature.

Method of controlling electronic controlled thermostat

A thermo element that makes it possible to efficiently raise the temperature of a whole body of wax encapsulated in a case and to obtain a reliable seal structure for a terminal withdrawal portion used to control the electrification of a heating device. The thermo element includes a thermally expanding body encapsulated in a tube-type case, and which allows a moving piston to advance toward and withdraw from the outside of the case with a change in volume of the thermally expanding body that accompanies a variation in the temperature thereof, and a heating element disposed in the case and that thermally affects the thermally expanding body. An electrode member is disposed inside the heating element. Further, a plate spring member, which also serves as a heat radiation fin for radiating heat to the thermally expanding body, is disposed at the outer circumference of the heating element. The plate spring member has a larger surface area than the heating element.

Thermoelement

Provided is a thermostat device enabling stable valve element operation and capable of preventing overshoots and hunting, and which enables the miniaturization of the thermostat device itself. Inside the housing of a bottom bypass-type thermostat device comprising a main valve element on the main body and a bypass valve element on the bottom side, the main valve element and bypass valve element are supported by a main shaft supported at the piston tip of a thermoelement, the temperature sensor of the thermoelement is disposed on the main shaft such that it does not directly contact the cooling water from the radiator outlet and senses the temperature by contacting a portion of the cooling water from the engine outlet, and the temperature sensor is equipped with a heating element. A bypass flow channel for bypassing the circulating fluid is formed at the downstream side of the valve element that enables control the opening/closing of the main valve element and bypass valve element according to the cooling water temperature and of opening/closing of the valve element by application of the heating element.

An object of the present invention is to provide a bottom bypass structure of a thermostat device enabling it possible to stably operate a valve element, to prevent overshooting and hunting and to reduce in sizing of the thermostat device. The structure to form a bypass channel to bypass a circulating fluid in the lower reaches of the valve element opening and closing the circulation channel.

Bottom bypass structure of thermostat device

An optical semiconductor device module comprising a light emitting element, an optical fiber, a light receiving element and an optical filter. The optical semiconductor module further includes a light absorbing-reflecting section for absorbing some of the stray beams which cannot pass through the optical filter, and reflecting some of such stray beams in a direction opposite to an optical axis of the beams. The light absorbing-reflecting section is present in a module casing such that it faces, on the optical axis, the light receiving element via the optical filter.
