Described in the present invention are a dispersion which comprises, as a dispersoid, (a) 5 to 40 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid containing, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group, and (b) 2 to 55 wt. % of a surfactant in an aqueous medium; a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising the dispersion; and a washing-away type cosmetic composition comprising (A) 0.01 to 10 wt. % of an amphipatic lipid which contains, in the molecule thereof, at least one hydroxy and amide group and having a melting point not less than 30&deg; C. and (B) 5 to 95 wt. % of a surfactant. The dispersion according to the present invention is useful as a component of a washing-away type cosmetic composition having both an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and low skin irritation. The washing-away type cosmetic composition according to the present invention has an emulsion-like or pearl-lustrous appearance and is mild to the skin owing to reduced adsorption, to the skin, of the surfactant contained in the composition.

Amphipatic lipid dispersion

A deodorant composition comprising 0.03 to 5% by weight of a water-soluble metal salt, 0.01 to 5% by weight of a nonionic surface active agent, 0.1 to 10% by weight of silicone oil, and the balance of water.

Deodorant composition

Described is a detergent composition comprising (A) a sulfate ester surfactant, (B) at least one surfactant selected from amphoteric surfactants, amine oxide surfactants, alkanol amide surfactants and amide amino-acid surfactants, (C) a cationic bactericide and (D) a metal chelating agent, the weight ratio of said (A) to (B) being 1-50 and the content of said (C) being 0.2 wt. % to 5 wt. %. The detergent composition according to the present invention has excellent detergency, foamability and foam durability and at the same time, has high bactericidal effects because it can be mixed stably with a cationic bactericide.
