A variable displacement vane pump includes a first and a second fluid pressure chamber () where the cam ring () is made eccentric to the rotor () by a pressure difference between the first and the second fluid pressure chamber (), a control valve () for controlling a pressure of the first and the second fluid pressure chamber () so that an eccentric amount of the cam ring () is reduced to be small with an increase in a rotation speed of the rotor (), a pressure applying section () for applying a pressure to the cam ring () in a direction of increasing the eccentric amount all the time, and a cam ring movement restricting portion () for defining a minimum eccentric amount of the cam ring () by restricting the movement of the cam ring () in a direction of decreasing the eccentric amount.

Variable displacement vane pump

A variable capacity vane pump () has a pump housing () having a high-load bearing part () on which a higher load is exerted than another part when the pump vane pump () operates. A control valve () for varying a capacity of the vane pump () is provided in a valve housing () which is formed integrally in the pump housing (). By arranging the valve housing () on the same side of the pump housing () as the high-load bearing part () with respect to the rotation axis of the vane pump (), the high-load bearing part () can be reinforced without increasing the size of the vane pump ().

Variable capacity vane pump

A variable displacement vane pump includes a first and a second fluid pressure chamber () where the cam ring () is made eccentric to the rotor () by a pressure difference between the first and the second fluid pressure chamber (), a control valve () for controlling a pressure of the first and the second fluid pressure chamber () so that an eccentric amount of the cam ring () is reduced to be small with an increase in a rotation speed of the rotor (), and a flow amount limiting member () for limiting a discharge flow amount of the operating fluid in the second fluid pressure chamber () at the time the eccentric amount of the cam ring () to the rotor () becomes small by supplying the operating fluid to the first fluid pressure chamber () and by discharging the operating fluid from the second fluid pressure chamber ().

A vane pump according to the present invention is characterized in that a position of a first suction port located in the forward rotation direction of a rotor is brought closer to a suction port than a position of a second suction port located in the backward rotation direction of the rotor with the suction port as reference by positioning a side plate in the state where the discharge port is brought close to a mounting portion.
