A lever fitting-type connector has a lever and a plug housing, the lever fitting-type connector includes: a contact member and a triangular recess in an inner wall surface of a sidewall of the lever and an outer wall surface of the plug housing. The triangular recess includes: a first inclined surface extending in a direction from the sliding start position toward the sliding end position and inclined in a projecting direction of the contact member; and a second inclined surface extending in a direction from the edge of the first inclined surface on the sliding end position side toward the sliding end position and inclined in a direction opposite to the projecting direction of the contact member. With a sliding direction of the lever as a reference, an inclined angle of the second inclined surface is smaller than an inclined angle of the first inclined surface.

Lever fitting-type connector

A lever-fitting-type connector includes a housing having a first terminal and a lever having a second terminal. The housing has a locking projection. The locking projection includes a front inclination surface and a rear inclination surface respectively extending along a sliding direction of the lever, and a ridgeline part where the front and rear inclination surfaces are connected to each other. The lever includes a locked part. The locked part has a convex surface. The convex surface, when the lever slides, moves over the ridgeline part from the front inclination surface toward the rear inclination surface.

A shell of a female connector includes two members including a shell body integrated with a female housing and a braided wire fixing member to which a braided wire of a shield cable is crimped and fixed. The braided wire fixing member to which the braided wire is crimped and fixed is mated with a cylindrical portion of the shell body integrated with the female housing.

A fixing bracket inserted into a cassette type insertion section of a male housing extends to the outside from an opening formed in a hood of a female housing under a state where the male connector is engaged with a female connector. A side face, a bottom face and a side face of the cassette type insertion section extending in the insertion direction of the male housing into the female housing come into face contact with inner faces provided for the hood, respectively.

Connector assembly

A male connector has a moving plate which is movable between an initial position and a retreat position, and an initial position locking part which immovably locks the moving plate with respect to a male housing in the initial position. A female connector has a locking releasing part which, when a female housing is inserted into an opening of the male housing, engages with the initial position locking part to release the locking of the moving plate with respect to the male housing. The moving plate is moved from the initial position to the retreat position by insertion of the female housing inside the male housing in a state that the locking by the initial position locking part has been released by the locking releasing part.
