Information equipment according to an embodiment includes a display housing with a display unit, a first radio communication antenna disposed at an end part of the display housing, a second radio communication antenna using a frequency band adjacent to or overlapped with that of the first radio communication antenna, and a third radio communication antenna disposed at an end part between the first and the second radio communication antennas, and uses a frequency band not adjacent to nor overlapped with those of the first and the second radio communication antennas.

According to one embodiment, a coupler for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic wave by electromagnetic coupling between the coupler and another, includes a line-shaped coupling element including a first open end and a second open end, a ground plane, a feeding element connecting the coupling element and a feed point, and a short circuiting element connecting the feeding element and the ground plane. The feeding element includes a first end connected to an intermediate portion between the first open end and the second open end of the coupling element, and a second end connected to the feed point. The short circuiting element includes a third end arranged between the first end of the feeding element and the second end of the feeding element, and a fourth end connected to the ground plane.

Coupler and electronic apparatus

According to one embodiment, a coupler apparatus includes a coupling element and a ground plane. The coupling element is formed of a conductive material. The coupling element is subjected to power feeding to a reference point. The ground plane is formed of a conductive material. The ground plane faces the coupling element. The ground plane has a notch at a position facing at least a part of a portion of the coupling element except the reference point or near the position.

According to one embodiment, a coupler apparatus includes a coupling element, a ground plane, and at least one connecting element. The coupling element which is made of a tabular electrical conducting material and in which power feeding is performed to a reference point. The ground plane which is made of a tabular electrical conducting material and partially faces a part of the coupling element. The connecting element which is made of an electrical conducting material, disposed to the ground plane, contact to a metal member provided to a communication apparatus to face the ground plane, and electrically connects the ground plane to the metal member.

According to one embodiment, a coupler for wireless transfer includes a coupling element including a first open end and a second open end. The coupler further includes a feeding element electrically connecting a feed point and an intermediate portion of the coupling element between the first open end and the second open end. The coupler further includes a short circuiting element electrically connecting the intermediate portion and a ground plane. An electrical distance from the feed point to each of the first open end and the second open end is &#xbc; of a wavelength corresponding to a central frequency used for the wireless transfer.

According to one embodiment, a coupler transmits and receives an electromagnetic wave by electromagnetic coupling between the coupler and another coupler. The coupler includes a line-shaped coupling element having a first open end and a second open end, a ground plane, a feeding element connecting the coupling element and a feed point, and a short circuiting element connecting the coupling element and the ground plane. The feeding element comprises a first end connected to an intermediate portion of the coupling element between the first open end and the second open end, and a second end connected to the feed point. The short circuiting element comprises a third end connected to the intermediate portion of the coupling element, and a fourth end connected to the ground plane.

In one embodiment, a coupler apparatus includes a monopole type coupling element, a parasitic element, and a ground plane. The coupling element includes a conductive material and subjects to power feeding to a feeding point. The parasitic element includes a conductive material. The parasitic element is arranged to be apart from the coupling element, and grounded. The ground plane includes a conductive material. The ground plane faces the coupling element and the parasitic element. The ground plane is cut out at a position where it faces at least a part of a portion other than the feeding point in the coupling element or near this position.

According to one embodiment, a coupler apparatus includes a coupling element and a ground plane. The coupling element comprises a conductive material and configured to be subjected to power feeding to a feeding point. The ground plane comprises a conductive material and faces the coupling element. The coupling element has one or more through holes along an alignment direction of the coupling element and the ground plane.

According to one embodiment, a coupler apparatus includes a coupling element, a ground plane, a first short element, and a second short element which short-circuits the second end of the coupling element and the ground plane. The coupling element includes a first conductive portion having first and second ends, and a second conductive portion which extends from a position between the first end and the second end and has an open end. The ground plane faces the coupling element and formed of a conductive material. The first short element short-circuits the first end of the coupling element and the ground plane The second short element short-circuits the second end of the coupling element and the ground plane.

According to one embodiment, a coupler which transmits and receives an electromagnetic wave to and from another coupler includes a substrate, a coupling element, a ground plane, and a feed terminal. The coupling element is positioned at a first surface of the substrate and includes a feed point. The ground plane is positioned at a second surface of the substrate. The ground plane includes a base portion and a protrusion. A first surface of an end of the protrusion is in contact with the second surface of the substrate. The base portion faces the second surface of the substrate with a gap therebetween. The feed terminal is positioned at a second surface of the end of the protrusion and connected to the feed point of the coupling element via a first through-hole in the substrate.

According to an aspect of the invention, a portable terminal includes: a first audio input-output unit and a second audio input-output unit configured to receive audio when a mode is set as an input mode and output audio when the mode is set as an output mode; and a setting unit configured to set the respective modes of the first audio input-output unit and the second audio input-output unit.

An antenna device included in a radio apparatus having a printed board includes a ground conductor provided in the printed board, a first sub-element, a second sub-element and a short circuit element. The first sub-element is formed as an area having a first side and a second side crossing each other. The first side faces a side of the ground conductor. The first sub-element has a feed portion around a crossing of the first side and the second side. The second sub-element is formed to branch off from the first sub-element around an end of the second side being farther from the crossing, to be open-ended and to be directed at least partially in a direction opposite a direction from the crossing to an end of the first side opposite the crossing. The short circuit element short-circuits one of the first sub-element and the second sub-element with the ground conductor.

Antenna device having multiple resonant frequencies and radio apparatus

According to one embodiment, an antenna device includes a folded element and an end-free element wound around a core member. A feed potion for a folded element and an end-free element is located close to one end of the core member, and a ground portion for a folded element is located closer to the one end than the feed portion. A coaxial cable connected to the feed portion is led away the antenna device, and an external conductor of the coaxial cable is connected near the ground portion.
