A pulse signal generator suitable for generating a two-phase pulse signal required as information of a rotation angle of a motor from a motor control device is provided. According to an embodiment, the pulse signal generator includes: a compensation unit that outputs a compensation signal for compensating for the deviation between the angle information representing the rotation angle of the rotor provided in the resolver and the fed back angle information; a counter pulse output unit that outputs a counter pulse having a frequency corresponding to the compensation amount of the compensation signal and code information representing the sign of the compensation signal, and a pulse processing unit that outputs a count value by a counter as the angle information, which counts the pulse according to the code information, the pulse processing unit generating two-phase pulse signals PA and PB using the values of the counter.

Pulse signal generator and angle detection system including the same

A control device capable of accurately detecting a rotor rotation angle is provided. The control device includes variable resistors Rto Rfor converting the currents flowing in the four-phase coils of the current detection resolver into voltages, two differential amplifiers for a first phase signal of the voltage difference between the detection voltages of the variable resistors Rand R, and a second phase signal of the voltage difference between the detection voltages of the variable resistors Rand Rrespectively, two phase shifters for shifting the phase of the first phase signal and the second phase signal respectively, a synthesizer for a phase modulation signal by synthesizing the phase shifted first phase signal and the phase shifted second phase signal, and an adjuster for adjusting the resistance values of the variable resistors Rto Rbased on the width of the envelope of the phase modulation signal.

Control device and error correction methods

According to one embodiment, a circuit for generating a signal has an amplifier, first and second detection circuits, first and second A/D converters, and a digital signal processing circuit. The amplifier amplifies an electric signal corresponding to an intensity of a reflected light from an optical disc. The first detection circuit detects an upper envelope of an output signal from the amplifier, and outputs an upper envelope signal. The second detection circuit detects a lower envelope of an output signal from the amplifier, and outputs a lower envelope signal. The first A/D converter converts the upper envelope signal into a first digital signal. The second A/D converter converts the lower envelope signal into a first digital signal. The digital signal processing circuit performs calculation processing of the first and the second digital signals, and outputs a signal for controlling reproduction of data recorded on the optical disc.

An optical disk drive device has an RF equalizer configured to generate an equalized RF signal by controlling a frequency characteristic of a delay time of an RF signal read out from an optical disk based on a control input signal, a playback clock extractor configured to extract a playback clock for reproducing data recorded on the optical disk from the equalized RF signal, and an RF rate controller configured to generate the control input signal inputted to the RF equalizer, wherein the control input signal is a signal for correcting waveform distortion of the RF signal by controlling the delay time of the RF signal dependent on a frequency of the playback clock.

Information is extracted from a track by a pickup during rotation of an optical disk, the output of the pickup is supplied to a head amplifier to generate an information signal including disk record information and a tracking error signal, and a reading-out speed is detected from the information signal from the head amplifier. The frequency component which is near the rotation frequency of the disk within the range of the change in the reading-out speed of the information is extracted from the detected reading-out speed signal, an eccentricity signal showing a position deviation between the center point of the track of the disk and the rotation center point of the disk is output from a band-pass filter, the output of the filter is substantially added to the output of the tracking control circuit, and a tracking actuator is driven and controlled to correct a tracking error.
