A vehicle component display device including: a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory, the processor being configured to: acquire a predetermined reference shape from a captured image of a vehicle that is captured by an imaging section; read three-dimensional data of component images corresponding to the reference shape, and display the component images at a display in a state in which the component images are superimposed on the vehicle, the display being visible to a user; display a component configuration diagram at the display together with the component images; and in a case in which a component is selected in the component configuration diagram, emphasize display of the component in the component images displayed at the display.

A driving assistance apparatus is mounted to a moving body. The driving assistance apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to set, by a setting unit, driving assistance, executed in the moving body, based on loaded map data stored in a first storage unit, and give, by a notifying unit, notification of execution suitability information related to whether or not the driving assistance set by the setting unit is executable. The execution suitability information indicates a result of determining whether or not the driving assistance is executable based on the loaded map data stored in the first storage unit.

An object recognition apparatus is provided, which enhances accuracy in recognizing more than one object to be detected closely located along a scan direction. In the apparatus, measured-distance datums included in an area formed by those measured-distance datums which are spaced apart by a distance of not more than a predetermined allowable value are grouped as one candidate area. The candidate area, if it has a size larger than a specified value, is regarded as a special candidate area. An object area on an image datum corresponding to the special candidate area is subjected to an image recognition process to define the range of the objects residing therein. The special candidate area is divided at a border between the objects based on the defined range. All candidate areas including the divided new candidate areas are subjected to a tracing process to confirm an object in each candidate area.

Method and apparatus for recognizing presence of objects

A division line depicted on a road is detected. A beam-formed electromagnetic wave is repetitively at intervals transmitted toward the road viewed from a vehicle to scan in the vehicle width direction. Each beam-formed electromagnetic wave is radiated to a radiation area on the road, and the radiation areas made by transmitting the beam-formed electromagnetic wave a plurality of times virtually produces a scan area on the road. Every beam-formed electromagnetic wave, distance data indicative of a distance between a division line on the road and the vehicle is measured based on information about a reflected electromagnetic wave. The distance data measured is received to detect the division line based on characteristics of changes in a sequence of the distance data produced by mapping the received distance data in a scanning order of the beam-formed electromagnetic wave.

A vehicle-mounted camera captures a forward-view image corresponding to the viewpoint of the driver, and the forward-view image is transmitted to the information dispatch apparatus together with vehicle position and direction information and camera parameters. Based on the received information, the blind-spot image is converted to a corresponding image having the viewpoint of the vehicle driver, and the forward-view image and viewpoint-converted blind-spot image are combined to form a synthesized image, which is transmitted to the vehicle.

In an in-vehicle theft call apparatus, when a relevant vehicle is in a non-stopped state, an electric power supply from an in-vehicle battery is maintained to both a Cellular wireless section and a PCS wireless section. Thus, a wide range wireless communication area can be secured. In contrast, when the vehicle is in a stopped state, an electric power supply from the in-vehicle battery is maintained to only one of the Cellular wireless section and the PCS wireless section while being interrupted to the other. Thus, a communication signal can be transmitted appropriately in an event of call state; further, power consumption can be improved.

In-vehicle call apparatus

An in-vehicle emergency call apparatus capable of performing an emergency call operation when electric power supply from a vehicle battery is cut is provided. The in-vehicle emergency call apparatus includes a first electric power supply line system causing an electric power supply unit to supply electric power to an emergency notification detection unit and an control unit. A second electric power supply line system is provided that causes the electric power supply unit to supply the electric power to the radio-communication unit. The second electric power supply line system is provided independently of the first electric power supply line system. A first capacitor coupled with the first electric power supply line system is capable of being configured to have a small capacitance.

An emergency report device comprises: a power supply control unit that switches an electric power source from a main battery to an auxiliary battery when a supply voltage of the main battery is smaller than a predetermined threshold value; and an auxiliary battery operational check unit that performs an operational check of the auxiliary battery if the operational check of the auxiliary battery is being performed at a time when the vehicle drive mechanism starts, and if the operational check of the auxiliary battery is being performed for a first time during a period between an end of a previous day and a present time. The operational checking of the auxiliary battery is based on a current input into the auxiliary battery operational check unit from the auxiliary battery.

Emergency report device for vehicle

An onboard wireless communication system includes a power supply circuit, a wireless communication circuit, a control circuit, and a current integration circuit. The current integration circuit calculates an integration value of current fed from a battery after the battery starts discharging. The current integration circuit temporarily stops the calculation until transmission of a burglar alarm signal is completed when a burglar detection signal is outputted from a burglar detection ECU while the integration value is still smaller than a reference value. As a result, power supply from the power supply circuit to the wireless communication circuit is maintained. The power supply is stopped when the integration value is equal to or larger than the reference value while the burglar detection signal is still not outputted from the burglar detection ECU.

Onboard wireless communication system

An emergency reporting system for a vehicle includes a reporting signal verifying device and a power supply switching device. The reporting signal verifying device verifies a reporting signal, and the reporting signal verifying device is adapted to cause the emergency reporting to an outside emergency agency when the reporting signal verifying device has completed the verification. The power supply switching device switches power supply for the emergency reporting from a main power supply of the vehicle to an auxiliary power supply in a case, where the main power supply is disabled to supply power. The power supply switching device is adapted to switch the power supply from the main power supply to the auxiliary power supply in a period between (a) a point when the reporting signal verifying device starts the verification and (b) a point when the reporting signal verifying device completes the verification.

A communication device is held in a controlled condition when the communication device is in a process of an emergency operation. The emergency operation of the communication device including a response operation in response to an incoming call that is transmitted from an emergency service center in exchange for an emergency signal from the communication device completes even when an external device provides a reset cause for the communication device in the process of the emergency operation due to provision of a control signal for controlling the controlled condition.
