A programmable battery protection system. Implementations may include a battery protection integrated circuit (IC) with an array of fuses, a plurality of latches coupled with the array of fuses, a plurality of MOSFETs coupled with the plurality of latches, and a plurality of resistors coupled in series and in parallel with each one of the plurality of MOSFETs. The IC may also include a comparator coupled with the plurality of resistors and with a battery control circuit. Whether any one of the array of fuses is open or closed (remains closed) may be set by a fuse trimming signal from the battery control circuit. A voltage supplied to the comparator by the plurality of resistors during operation may be one of a discharge overcurrent threshold voltage, a charge overcurrent threshold voltage, or a short current threshold voltage.

Programmable battery protection system and related methods

A programmable battery protection system. Implementations may include: a battery, only two field effect transistors (FETs) coupled with the battery, and a battery protection integrated circuit (IC) coupled with the FETs. The battery protection IC may include an array of fuses, a plurality of latches coupled with the array of fuses, and a comparator coupled with the plurality of latches. The array of fuses and the plurality of latches may be coupled with a fuse refresh circuit coupled with a trigger circuit where the fuse refresh circuit is configured to refresh the states of the plurality of latches using states of the array of fuses in response to receiving one of a power on signal and an operating trigger signal generated by the trigger circuit. The plurality of latches may be used to generate a threshold voltage that is provided to the comparator.

Automatically programmable battery protection system and related methods

A programmable battery protection system. Implementations may include: a battery and a battery protection integrated circuit (IC) coupled with the battery that includes a reference voltage circuit, a variable resistor circuit coupled with the reference voltage circuit, and only two field effect transistors (FETs) coupled with the overcurrent detection circuit and with the battery. The reference voltage circuit and the variable resistor circuit may be configured to cause a current sense signal of the system to vary substantially linearly with changes in a supply voltage of the system.

The battery protection IC may include an array of fuses, first plurality of latches, second plurality of latches, and a comparator. The array of fuses, first plurality of latches, and second plurality of latches may be coupled with a fuse refresh circuit coupled with an analog trigger circuit and a logic trigger circuit. The fuse refresh circuit may be configured to refresh the states of the latches using states of the array of fuses in response to receiving an operating trigger signal generated by the analog trigger circuit or a logic trigger signal generated by the logic trigger circuit. The first plurality of latches may be used to generate a threshold voltage that is provided to the comparator.

Electromagnetic field transmissions between a sensor unit mounted on the inside surface of a tire and a sensor control unit mounted on the vehicle body are attenuated by the wall surface of a tire disposed between the units, and sensitivity is reduced. A booster antenna () is embedded in the tire wall surface between the sensor unit () and the sensor control unit (). The booster antenna () is a coil antenna, and is configured so that the resonance frequency, which corresponds to the impedance and capacitance component of the booster antenna coil, corresponds to the frequency fof the transmission electromagnetic field of the sensor control unit (). The booster antenna () is disposed in a position in which a magnetic coupling is formed with the coil antenna of the sensor unit (), and transmissions via the electromagnetic field between the sensor unit () and the sensor control unit () are carried out through the booster antenna ().

Tire sensor system and tire used for the same

A signal detection circuit comprising: a differential amplifier to which an output voltage of a detection coil of a magnetic sensor is to be applied; a comparator to output a digital signal being at one logic level in a period between two spike-shaped voltages adjacent to each other in the output voltage of the differential amplifier; and a count circuit to perform a count operation in a period during which the comparator outputs the digital signal of the one logic level, the count circuit including a first counter to count a first clock having a predetermined frequency, a second counter to count a second clock being equal in frequency to and different in phase from the first clock, the second counter having the same number of bits as the number of bits of the first counter, and an adder to add count values of the first and the second counter.

Signal detection circuit

A tire inflation pressure determining system is provided in which measurement results are transmitted to the exterior without providing a high precision oscillation circuit to a tire-mounted air pressure determining system. An LC resonance circuit is composed of a coil Ls and an inflation pressure sensor in which the electric capacitance varies in accordance with tire air pressure. The fluctuations of the electromagnetic field having a frequency fgenerated by a sensor control unit are sensed in a coil L, a clock is generated based on the sensed fluctuations, the clock is inputted to a coil Le that is transformer coupled to the coil Ls, and the LC resonance circuit is excited. The output voltage of the LC resonance circuit is converted to digital data in an A/D conversion circuit in correspondence with the intensity of the resonance, the impedance of the coil Lis varied in accordance with the bit sequence constituting the data, and a modulation is thereby generated in the voltage of a coil Lof the sensor control unit via the electromagnetic field.

Tire inflation pressure determining system and tire inflation pressure determining apparatus

At least one lead-out electrode of bottom electrodes of the unit capacitive elements of the capacitive element group is disposed along a circumference going around top electrodes as a whole of the capacitive element group, and a given capacitive element is connectable to the capacitive element group, the given capacitive element having a capacitance value that is set to eliminate effects of parasitic capacitance of at least the capacitive element group. Furthermore, the given capacitive element may consist of a capacitive element group.
