A polyamide resin molded body is formed by a resin composition having a (B) fluorine series resin within a range from 1 to 15 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of a (A) polyamide resin. In the resin composition, the number average particle diameter of the fluorine series resin dispersed in the polyamide resin is 0.8 &#x3bc;m or less. The resin composition includes particles of the (B) fluorine series resin having particle diameters of 0.8 &#x3bc;m or greater. Provided is a black shaped product having low specific gravity, an excellent balance of heat resistance and fluidity, extremely few white spots at the shaped product surface, and excellent aluminum vapor deposition external appearance. The black shaped product is obtained through shaping of a resin composition containing 5 mass % to 95 mass % of a polyphenylene ether (A), 2 mass % to 94.96 mass % of a styrene resin (B), and 0.04 mass % to 3 mass % of carbon black (C). The black shaped product includes a mirror surface part at the surface thereof. The number of white spots present within a 52.4 mmarea of the mirror surface part is 30 or less.

Provided is a polyphenylene ether resin composition having excellent mechanical properties, such as tensile, flexural, and impact strength, high flame retardance, and adequate molding fluidity, and that is sufficiently resistant to use as a thin molded article for an electric/electronic device cooling fan, etc. The polyphenylene ether resin composition contains at least 90 mass % of a polyphenylene ether (A), a styrene resin (B), glass fiber (C), and an organophosphorus flame retardant (D) in terms of total mass of (A) to (D). Taking this total mass as 100 mass %, contents of the polyphenylene ether (A), styrene resin (B), glass fiber (C), and organophosphorus flame retardant (D) are 25-75 mass %, 0-5 mass %, 20-50 mass %, and 5-20 mass %, respectively, and taking mass of the organophosphorus flame retardant (D) as 100 mass %, content of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of triphenyl phosphate and a phosphazene is at least 70 mass %.

A polyamide comprising (a) a unit comprising adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine and (b) a unit comprising isophthalic acid and hexamethylenediamine, wherein a ratio of the isophthalic acid component to the total carboxylic acid component in the polyamide is 0.05&#x2266;(x)&#x2266;0.5 and a range of blocking ratio (Y) is &#x2212;0.3&#x2266;(Y)&#x2266;0.8. Also provided are compositions comprising 30 to 95% by mass of the above polyamide and 5 to 70% by mass of an inorganic filler.

Polyamide composition

A glass fiber reinforced polyamide resin composition comprising: (A) a polyamide resin; and, per 100 parts by weight thereof, (B) from 20 to 170 parts by weight of glass fibers; (C) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a higher fatty acid amide compound; and (D) from 0.005 to 5 parts by weight of a higher fatty acid metal salt having an acid value of 0.5 mg KOH/g or less. The composition preferably further comprises (E) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of an azine dye per 100 parts by weight of a polyamide resin (A). Also disclosed is a molded article obtained from the composition.
