In a vehicle air conditioner, a controller is configured (i) to set a target cooling temperature of air cooled by a cooling heat exchanger, (ii) to control an operation of a compressor based on a cooling temperature and the target cooling temperature of the cooling heat exchanger, and (iii) to determine a traveling state of the vehicle. The controller is configured to set a normal target temperature as the target cooling temperature when the vehicle is traveling with a normal condition, and to set a modified target temperature higher than the normal target temperature as the target cooling temperature when the vehicle starts decelerating. In addition, the controller is configured to cause the compressor to stop operating when the vehicle starts decelerating, and to cause the compressor to restart operating when the cooling temperature detected by a temperature sensor is equal to or higher than the modified target temperature.

Vehicle air conditioner

An ejector refrigeration cycle includes a compressor, a radiator, a branch portion, an ejector, a suction side decompressor, a windward evaporator, and a leeward evaporator. The ejector includes a nozzle portion and a pressure increasing portion. The windward evaporator and the leeward evaporator include at least one outflow side evaporation portion. The leeward evaporator includes a suction side evaporation portion. An outflow side evaporation temperature is a refrigerant evaporation temperature in the at least one outflow side evaporation portion of the leeward evaporator. A suction side evaporation temperature is a refrigerant evaporation temperature in the suction side evaporation portion of the leeward evaporator. At least one of the nozzle portion or the suction side decompressor is configured to adjust a refrigerant passage area such that a temperature difference between the outflow side evaporation temperature and the suction side evaporation temperature is at or below a predetermined reference temperature difference.

Ejector refrigeration cycle

When an ejector having a variable nozzle and a variable throttle mechanism are integrated together as an ejector module, a nozzle-side central axis CLand a decompression-side driving mechanism have a twisted positional relationship, if the nozzle-side central axis CLis defined as a central axis of a nozzle-side driving mechanism in a displacement direction in which the nozzle-side driving mechanism of the ejector having the variable nozzle displaces a needle valve, and the decompression-side central axis CLis defined as a central axis of a decompression-side driving mechanism in a displacement direction in which the decompression-side driving mechanism of the variable throttle mechanism displaces a throttle valve. When viewed from the central axis direction of one of the nozzle-side central axis CLand the decompression-side central axis CL, a driving portion corresponding to the one central axis is disposed to overlap with the other central axis.

Ejector module

An ejector includes a body including an inflow space into which a refrigerant flows, a passage formation member disposed inside the body and having a conical shape, and a nozzle passage having an annular cross section which functions as a nozzle and a diffuser passage having an annular cross section which functions as a pressure increase portion, the nozzle passage and the diffuser passage being disposed between an inner wall surface of the body and a conical lateral surface of the passage formation member. A drive mechanism that displaces the passage formation member in a direction along a center axis is coupled to an upstream actuating bar which extends from the passage formation member toward the inflow space and is slidably supported by the body. Center axes of the passage formation member, the upstream actuating bar and the inflow space are coaxial with each other.

Ejector

An ejector includes a body including an inflow space into which a refrigerant flows, a passage formation member disposed inside the body and having a conical shape, and a nozzle passage having an annular cross section functioning as a nozzle and a diffuser passage having an annular cross section functioning as a pressurizing portion between an inner wall surface of the body and a conical lateral surface of the passage formation member. A drive mechanism that displaces the passage formation member along a center axis is coupled to an upstream actuating bar which extends from the passage formation member toward the inflow space and is slidably supported by the body. A largest outer diameter portion of an annular member forming a wall surface of the nozzle passage provides a throat portion functioning as an edge for enlarging a passage cross-sectional area to cause a separation vortex in the refrigerant.

An ejector refrigeration cycle device includes: a decompressor that decompresses a refrigerant heat-exchanged in a radiator; a first exterior heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the refrigerant decompressed by the decompressor and outside air; an ejector that decompresses the refrigerant flowing out of the radiator in a nozzle portion and draws another refrigerant heat-exchanged in the first exterior heat exchanger; a branch portion in which the refrigerant heat-exchanged in the radiator branches to a side of the decompressor and a side of the nozzle portion; a second exterior heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the refrigerant pressurized in the ejector and the outside air; a bypass portion that causes the refrigerant heat-exchanged in the radiator to flow to the first exterior heat exchanger while bypassing the decompressor and the nozzle portion; and an opening/closing portion that opens or closes the bypass portion.

Ejector refrigeration cycle device

In an ejector-type refrigeration cycle device provided with a first compression mechanism and a second compression mechanism, a refrigerant outlet of a suction side evaporator is coupled to a refrigerant suction port of the ejector, and a second compression mechanism is provided between the suction side evaporator and the refrigerant suction port of the ejector. Thus, even in an operation condition in which suction capacity of the ejector is decreased in accordance with a decrease of the flow amount of a drive flow of the ejector, the suction capacity of the ejector can be supplemented by the operation of the second compression mechanism. Accordingly, even when a variation in the flow amount of the drive flow is caused, the ejector-type refrigeration cycle device can be stably operated.

Ejector-type refrigeration cycle device

A refrigeration cycle device includes a compressor, a first branch portion, a radiator, a second branch portion, a first decompressor, a first evaporator, a second decompressor, a second evaporator, and an ejector. The first branch portion divides a flow of a refrigerant discharged from the compressor into one flow and an other flow. The radiator radiates heat of the refrigerant of the one flow. The second branch portion divides a flow of the refrigerant from the radiator into one flow and an other flow. The first decompressor decompresses the refrigerant of the one flow divided in the second branch portion. The second decompressor decompresses the refrigerant of the other flow divided in the second branch portion. A nozzle of the ejector decompresses and injects the refrigerant of the other flow divided in the first branch portion. The refrigerant suction port draws the refrigerant from the second evaporator.

Refrigeration cycle device

A temperature sensitive rod is communicated with a diaphragm that is displaceable in response to a pressure difference between an internal pressure of a sealed space, in which a temperature sensitive medium is sealed, and a pressure of a low pressure refrigerant outputted from an evaporator. A blind hole, which opens to the sealed space, is formed in an inside of the temperature sensitive rod. The temperature sensitive medium is a mixture gas of the refrigerant and an inert gas. A mixing ratio of the inert gas in the temperature sensitive medium corresponds to a ratio of an equivalent diameter of the blind hole relative to a depth of the blind hole in such a manner that a time constant of heat conduction from the temperature sensitive rod to the temperature sensitive medium is kept within a desired time constant range.

Expansion valve for a refrigeration cycle

In an air cooling mode of cooling air as a fluid to be heat-exchanged, a refrigeration cycle device is provided to perform switching to a refrigerant circuit in which a high-pressure refrigerant exchanging heat with outside air in an exterior heat exchanger and dissipating heat therefrom flows into an accumulator serving as a gas-liquid separator. In an air heating mode of heating the air, the refrigeration cycle device also performs switching to another refrigerant circuit that allows a low-pressure refrigerant decompressed by a first expansion valve to flow into the accumulator. Thus, even in any operation mode, a difference between a refrigerant temperature in the accumulator and the outside air temperature is reduced to thereby suppress the degradation of performance of the refrigeration cycle device due to the unnecessary transfer of heat between the refrigerant in the accumulator and the outside air.

An ejector cycle system with a refrigerant cycle through which refrigerant flows includes an ejector disposed downstream of a radiator, a first evaporator that evaporates refrigerant flowing out of the ejector, a throttling unit located in a branch passage and depressurizes refrigerant to adjust a flow rate of refrigerant, and a second evaporator located downstream of the throttling unit. In the ejector cycle system, a flow ratio adjusting means adjusts a flow ratio between a first refrigerant flow amount depressurized and expanded in a nozzle portion of the ejector and a second refrigerant flow amount drawn into a refrigerant suction port of the ejector, based on a physical quantity related to at least one of a state of refrigerant in the refrigerant cycle, a temperature of a space to be cooled by the first and second evaporators, and an ambient temperature of the space.

Ejector cycle system

In an evaporator unit, a first evaporator is coupled to an ejector to evaporate refrigerant flowing out of the ejector, a second evaporator is coupled to a refrigerant suction port of the ejector to evaporate the refrigerant to be drawn into the refrigerant suction port, a flow amount distributor is located to adjust a flow amount of the refrigerant distributed to the nozzle portion and a flow amount of the refrigerant distributed to the second evaporator, and a throttle mechanism is provided between the flow amount distributor and the second evaporator to decompress the refrigerant flowing into the second evaporator. The flow amount distributor is adapted as a gas-liquid separation portion and as a refrigerant distribution portion for distributing separated refrigerant into the nozzle portion and the second evaporator. Furthermore, the flow amount distributor and the ejector are arranged in line in a longitudinal direction of the ejector.

Dual evaporator unit with integrated ejector having refrigerant flow adjustability

An ejector-type refrigerant cycle device includes a compressor, a radiator, an ejector, a suction side evaporator disposed to evaporate refrigerant to be drawn into a refrigerant suction port of the ejector, and a discharge capacity control portion configured to control a refrigerant discharge capacity of the compressor. The discharge capacity control portion increases the refrigerant discharge capacity of the compressor in accordance with an increase of a requirement capacity required in a refrigerant cycle of a general operation, when the requirement capacity is larger than a standard value. In contrast, when the requirement capacity required in the refrigerant cycle is equal to or smaller than the standard value, the discharge capacity control portion controls the refrigerant discharge capacity of the compressor to be switched alternately between a high capacity operation and a low capacity operation. Thus, a refrigerant circulation amount in the refrigerant cycle can be suitably adjusted.

Ejector-type refrigerant cycle device

An integrated unit is formed by integrally assembling an ejector, a first evaporator that evaporates refrigerant discharged from the ejector, a second evaporator that evaporates the refrigerant drawn into the ejector, a refrigerant dividing portion that adjusts a flow amount of refrigerant flowing in and divided to the nozzle portion and the second evaporator, and a joint in which a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet are formed. In the joint, there is formed a gas-liquid separation portion that causes refrigerant flowing therein to swirl to separate it into gas and liquid. The ejector, refrigerant dividing portion and joint are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the ejector.

Evaporator unit

A subcool condenser having a condensation heat exchange portion, a receive portion and a supercool heat exchange portion is used as an outdoor heat exchanger that functions as a radiator in a cooling operation mode so that COP in the cooling operation mode is increased. In contrast, in a heating operation mode, a refrigerant bypass device that causes the refrigerant to flow so as to bypass the supercool heat exchange portion is provided so that pressure loss generated in the refrigerant flowing through the outdoor heat exchanger is decreased. Thereby, driving force of a compressor can be decreased and COP in the heating operation mode can be improved.
