A mower unit includes a housing, a pair of cutting blades arranged inside the housing, each of the cutting blades being rotatable about a respective vertical axis supported by the housing, the cutting blades being driven to be rotated in opposite directions, and a baffle arranged generally between rotation regions of the cutting blades to guide air flows generated by the cutting blades. The baffle defines an upper baffle portion located adjacent an upper region of the housing, a lower baffle portion located adjacent a lower region of the housing, and an air passage formed for allowing the air flows to flow between the upper baffle portion and lower baffle portion.

Mower unit

A mower unit includes a mower deck, a plurality of blades mounted inside the mower deck and rotatable about vertical shafts supported to the mower deck, the mower deck defining, on one lateral side thereof, a discharge outlet for discharging cut grass cut by the plurality of blades, and an opening and closing member configured to be movable to a closing position for closing the discharge outlet and also to an opening position away from the discharge outlet for opening the discharge outlet, the opening and closing member at the opening position being disposed along an outer face of the mower deck.

A mower includes a mower deck that opens downward; a plurality of vertical shafts rotatably supported by the mower deck; a plurality of cutting blades driven by the vertical shafts inside the mower deck; a cutting chamber formed inside the mower deck and provided for each cutting blade; and an opening formed between the cutting chambers for adjacent cutting blades. The cutting blades are arranged generally in a lateral direction with an adjacent pair of cutting blades being rotatably driven in opposite directions from each other. The opening allows for flow passage of cut grass at least from one of the cutting chambers to the other cutting chamber.

A work vehicle comprises: a plurality of wheels; a vehicle body supported by the wheels; a transmission case provided on the vehicle body, the transmission case having a first case portion and a second case portion and a middle portion extending between respective lower portions of the first and second case portions, the transmission case being divided by an abutting surface extending in a vertical direction of the vehicle; a hydraulic device associated with the transmission case; a hydraulic pump supplying a hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic device; an oil path formed in a surface of the abutting surface, one end of the oil path being formed in the first case portion as an oil port for the hydraulic device, and the other end of the oil path opening to the second case portion; and a hydraulic fluid outlet provided to the first case and connected to the hydraulic pump to supply hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump.

Riding type mower

A vibration damping system for an engine mounted on a vehicle has mounting elements attached to frames of the vehicle, through which elements the engine is mounted on the frames, a damping weight provided outwardly of the engine, and a weight support unit fixed at one end thereof to the engine and having the damping weight attached at the other end thereof. The weight support unit includes a first arm extending along one lateral side of a vertical plane extending through an axis of a crankshaft and a second arm extending along the other lateral side of the vertical plane. The damping weight is attached to free ends of the arms. The damping weight is positioned above the cylinder head of the engine to extend transversely of the vertical plane.

Vibration damping system for an engine mounted on a vehicle

A frame type tractor having an engine mounted in a front region of a main frame extending longitudinally of a tractor body, and a transmission case mounted in a rear region of the main frame. A backhoe mounting frame is attached to a rear end of the main frame. Rollover protection system mounts are arranged in upper portions of the backhoe mounting frame for fixedly supporting a rollover protection system. The backhoe mounting frame has a frame structure defining an inside space therein and including a pair of right and left side walls, a top wall interconnecting upper ends of the side walls, and a bottom wall interconnecting lower ends of the side walls. The right and left side walls have the rollover protection system mounts and backhoe attaching portions for engaging and connecting a backhoe unit.

A mower unit of grass cutting machine has at least two blades. The left blade is rotatable clockwise, while the right blade is rotatable counterclockwise. A grass discharge passage is formed between the two blades. An endless rotational belt for transmitting drive to the two blades is offset forwardly in a region between the blades, thereby forming, between the blades, a space without the endless rotational belt. The grass discharge passage has an upper surface inclined rearwardly and upwardly to extend from a position forwardly of a pair of pulleys corresponding to the two blades.

This invention relates to a suspension mechanism for a front mower or a mid-mount mower. A mower housing is suspended from a tractor body through a support axis extending in a fore and aft direction, and a seesaw arm pivotable about the support axis. Housing connectors, each having an elastic element such as a spring, are arranged between the seesaw arm and mower housing.

Apparatus for suspending a mower unit from a vehicle body

A walking operator type lawn mower including front wheels, rear wheels and a frame assembly having a forward portion supported by the front wheels and a rearward portion supported by the rear wheels is disclosed. The mower includes a steering handle and a mower deck mounted between the front wheels and rear wheels. The motor deck includes a motor section mounted in an upper portion thereof and cutting blades mounted in a lower portion thereof. The frame assembly includes a right side frame and a left side frame having lower ends thereof lying close to the ground surface. The steering handle extends upwardly from the frame assembly. The mower deck is mounted between the right and left side frames. The mower deck is vertically movable through a link mechanism which has one end thereof connected to the frame assembly and the other end connected to the mower deck. The right and left side frames have lower ends disposed at a fixed distance to the ground surface regardless of the vertical movement of the mower deck.

Lawn mower with vertical adjustment

A walking operator type lawn mower having stepless transmissions allocated to right and left rear wheels for changing speed of engine drive and outputting the drive to the right and left rear wheels, respectively, whereby the right and left rear wheels may be driven at different speeds. Right and left control members operable by a speed control lever frictionally fixable to a selected position are interlocked to change speed arms through springs, respectively. The change speed arms are pivotable, following operation of the shift levers, for controlling change speed rates of the stepless transmissions. The change speed arms are also operable by a pair of right and left auxiliary levers to move toward a backward drive position regardless of speed setting position of the speed control lever. A constant speed straight cruising run is obtained by retaining the speed control lever in a selected position to operate the change speed arms of the right and left transmissions substantially the same amount. In this state, one of the right and left auxiliary levers may be operated to shift the corresponding change speed arm from the selected speed position to a different speed position, e.g. to a lower speed position or to a backward drive position, thereby realizing a desired turning mode.

Transmission system capable of driving right and left drive wheels at

A lawn mower controllable by a walking operator and having two control levers each for controlling a brake and a propelling clutch. Each control lever is pivotable to a 'run' position to engage the clutch and render the brake inoperative, a 'neutral' position to disengage the clutch and render the brake inoperative, and a 'stop' position to disengage the clutch and operate the brake. Each control lever is constantly urged to the 'stop' position by a spring. The lawn mower further includes a locking lever for maintaining the control levers in the respective 'neutral' positions and 'stop' positions. The lawn mower is driven by an engine to engage in a grass cutting operation with the control levers maintained in the 'run' positions by the urging springs. The operator may push the mower to engage in a grass cutting operation with the control levers maintained in the 'neutral' positions by the locking lever. When the control levers are locked to the 'stop' positions by the locking lever, the lawn mower is stopped to allow the operator to engage in a different operation.

Working vehicle controllable by walking operator and having

A safety system for a lawn mower having an engine, a propelling transmission line for transmitting drive from the engine to drive wheels, and a PTO transmission line for transmitting drive from the engine to a grass cutting unit. An engine start is allowed when the propelling transmission line is inoperative. The engine is stopped when the propelling transmission line is operative and a driver is in a non-driving state. A steering section includes an arch-like steering handle, and an auxiliary handle having a shape substantially corresponding to the steering handle and pivotable from an upper position projecting above the steering handle and a lower position depressed below the steering handle. The driver is determined to be in the driving state when the auxiliary handle is in an intermediate position adjacent the steering handle.
