An exhaust gas purification system comprises an exhaust gas purification device which is arranged in an exhaust gas route of an engine, renewing devices for burning and removing a particulate matter within the exhaust gas purification device, renewal advance notifying means which is actuated in the case that a clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device becomes equal to or more than a prescribed level, and renewal informing means which informs of a fact that the renewing devices are under operation. The renewal advance notifying means is actuated before actuating the renewing devices.

Exhaust gas purification system

An exhaust gas purification system comprises an exhaust gas purification device which is arranged in an exhaust gas route of an engine, renewing devices, for burning and removing a particulate matter within the exhaust gas purification device, renewal advance notifying means which is actuated in the case that a clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device becomes equal to or more than a prescribed level, and renewal informing means which informs of a fact that the renewing devices are under operation. The renewal advance notifying means is actuated before actuating the renewing devices.

Provided is a diesel engine which can efficiently regenerate a diesel particulate filter. The control for regeneration using an ECU includes a first regeneration by burning particulate matter at slightly more than 300&#xb0; C. for 20 minutes when the accumulation of particulate matter exceeds a first threshold; a second regeneration by burning particulate matter at approximately 560&#xb0; C. for 30 minutes by an additional injection to remove particulate matter other than ash when the accumulation of particulate matter exceeds the first threshold for a first predetermined period of time, or every 100 hours; and a third regeneration by burning particulate matter at approximately 600&#xb0; C. for 15 minutes by an additional injection to remove particulate matter other than ash when the accumulation of particulate matter exceeds a second threshold and an emergency regeneration switch is pushed, or after 50 hours since the second or third regeneration and the emergency regeneration switch is pushed.

Diesel engine

A diesel engine is configured to be optionally set either to a low fuel consumption mode in which the amount of fuel consumption is reduced or to a low noise mode in which the noise is reduced so that a continuous regeneration mode is automatically selected when the output value of the diesel engine is greater than a predetermined value (Ptr), the estimated amount of accumulation of particulate matter collected in a DPF is greater than or equal to a predetermined value (Vtr), a forced regeneration mode is automatically selected when the output value of the diesel engine is less than the predetermined value (Ptr) and the estimated amount of accumulation of particulate matter collected in the DPF is greater than the predetermined value (Vtr) when either the continuous regeneration mode or forced regeneration mode is manually selected, control is started depending on the selected mode.

It is intended to provide an EGR device for an engine in which a cooling structure such as an EGR cooler is not required and which reduces Nox contained in the exhaust gas in the whole operation areas, so as to correspond to recent exhaust gas regulation. An EGR devicefor an engine comprises an EGR pipefor continuously connecting an exhaust manifoldand an intake manifoldof an engine, an EGR valvefor controlling a passage area of the EGR pipe, an ECUfor controlling the EGR valve.
