In a laminated steel plate in which steel plates are joined to both faces of a core layer, the core layer is formed of a meshed wire group formed using wires in a mesh form and a resin sheet, the wires forming the meshed wire group have a tensile strength of 601 MPa or higher, and an opening of the meshed wire group is equal to or less than ten times the thickness of the steel plates. By thus defining the tensile strength of the wires, light-weightness can be achieved compatibly with high rigidity and shock resistance, and by defining the opening of the meshed wire group, workability and shape stability after being processed can be improved.

The present invention provides a resin-coated stainless steel foil capable of maintaining a strong adherence force to the film even in an electrolytic solution to exhibit good corrosion resistance and excellent in the workability, design property and piecing resistance, and a container and a secondary battery each using the resin-coated stainless steel foil. A resin-coated stainless steel foil having a chromate treatment layer of 2 to 200 nm in thickness on at least one surface of a stainless steel foil and having at least a polyolefin-based resin (A) layer containing a functional group having polarity on the chromate treatment layer; and a container and a secondary battery each using the resin-coated stainless steel foil are also provided.

The present invention provides a polyolefin resin composition for metal coating, which is excellent in separation resistance, weather resistance and corrosion resistance, can be industrially produced without difficulty even by an existing apparatus, and is assured of excellent scratch resistance without using a surface coating agent; a resin film using the composition; and a resin-coated metal material. The polyolefin resin composition for metal coating comprises at least (A) a polyolefin resin, (B) a layered inorganic material, (C) an olefin containing oligomer containing a functional group having polarity and (D) a rubber-like elastic material.

A resin composition for coating a metal sheet comprising a polyester resin (A) having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-2.0 dl/g, an elastomer resin (B) and a vinyl polymer (C) containing at least 1 wt % of a unit with a polar group, and having a structure wherein the elastomer resin (B) is finely dispersed in the polyester resin (A) and at least a portion of the elastomer resin (B) is capsulated by the vinyl polymer (C). Also, metal-sheet-coating resin films using the resin composition, resin-coated metal sheets coated with the resin film, and resin-coated metal containers made by molding the resin-coated metal sheets are disclosed.

Resin-metal laminates

A housing structure for rotary connectors that have a flexible cable 4 spirally received within a space formed by a stator housing 1 and a rotor housing 2. Terminals 51 connected to electric conductors 42 of the flexible cable 4 are supported by a supporter 11 mounted in the stator housing 1. The supporter 11 has a barrier 13 having a path 12 through which the flexible cable 4 can be passed. An angle .theta. of an opening 12a positioned at an end position of the path 12 is larger than 180.degree.. A gap width t1 of the path 12 is approximately equal to a thickness t2 of the flexible cable 4. The housing structure avoids a state wherein the conductors 42 of a disconnected flexible cable 4 are contacted again with the terminals 51, or wherein the disconnected sections of the adjacent terminals 51 are undesirably short-circuited by the conductors 42 of the disconnected flexible cable 4, in the case where the electrical connection between the conductors 42 of the flexible cable 4 and the terminals 51 is once disconnected.

Housing structure for rotary connectors

A rotary connector device having a stator housing 1 and a rotor housing 2 connected by an attachment 3. The attachment 3 fits to the rotor housing 2 and rotatably supports the stator housing 1. The attachment 3 includes a grease reservoir 33 disposed in sliding contact with the stator housing 1. An opening 25, through which a cord 61 connected to a flexible cable 4 is pulled outside, is disposed in the upper part of a rotor housing 2. The opening has a plurality of bumps 251 to 254 to clamp the cord 61. The stator housing 1 is constructed by assembling a side housing 11 and a bottom housing 12 together. A first gap 13 is formed in the area where the side housing 11 is connected to the bottom housing 12. A first side edge 71 of a slide sheet 7 is inserted into the first gap 13. A guide 15 of the bottom housing 12 for guiding the flexible cable 4 is formed with a second gap 14 into which the second side edge 72 of the slide sheet 7 is inserted. Respective base ends 112, 122 of the side housing 11 and the bottom housing 12 are aligned with each other in a plane, and the bottom housing 12 has a fitting claw 121 interfitted into a fitting hole 111 of the side housing 11. The rotor housing 2 has a contact portion 27 on the side facing the stator housing 1 inclined at a predetermined angle defining a tapered gap.

Rotary connector device

A process is disclosed for preparing of aromatic polyester-polystyrene block copolymers which comprises subjecting preferentially styrene polymers (A) having terminal functional groups reactive with acid chloride groups and an excess of aromatic dicarboxylic acid dihalides (C) to condensation and then subjecting continuously the resultant mixture and aromatic dihydroxy compounds (B) to interfacial polymerization at the ratio (A)/[(B)+(C)] by weight of 5/95 to 80/20, without separating reaction products of styrene polymers (A) and aromatic dicarboxylic acid dihalides (C), and the block copolymers thus prepared contain a small amount of uncopolymerized styrene polymers, have long aromatic polyester segments, show low birefringence, good transparency, exceptionally low birefringence, low melt viscosity, and good mechanical strength, and are particularly useful as materials for optical instruments.

Process for preparing aromatic polyester-polystyrene block copolymers

A process is disclosed for the preparation of aromatic polyester-polystyrene block copolymers by solution polycondensation of styrene polymers (A) having terminal functional groups reactive with acid halide or hydroxyl groups, aromatic dihydroxy compounds (B), and aromatic dicarboxylic acid dihalides (C) at (A)/[(B)+(C)] (by weight) of 5/95 to 80/20 and the polymers are suitable as molding materials for optical instruments for their good transparency, particularly low birefringence, low melt viscosity, and good mechanical strength.
