There is disclosed a detecting device including a detecting portion that detects contact of a person with a contacted body, the detecting portion including: an insulating body, the insulating body being sheet-shaped; an electrode, the electrode being sheet-shaped, being disposed at at least one side surface side of the insulating body, and being less extensible than the insulating body; and a positioning hole, the positioning hole being formed so as to penetrate through the insulating body and the electrode, and the insulating body and the electrode being positioned by the positioning hole.

Detecting device and steering wheel

At a sensor electrode of a steering wheel, a protruding portion protrudes from a main body portion. A first thread and a second thread each extend in the protruding portion and effect conduction between a terminal at the protruding portion and a main body portion. Therefore, even if there is no conduction between the first thread and the second thread at intersection portions between the first thread and second thread in the protruding portion, the first thread and the second thread may each effect conduction between the terminal and the main body portion, and a degradation of conduction performance of the sensor electrode may be suppressed.

Sensing mechanism

A sensor electrode and an insulating body are coupled together by a hot melt member in a sensor of a steering wheel. The sensor electrode makes contact with the insulating body at first protrusions so as to form through holes in the hot melt member. The hot melt member is accordingly able to stretch easily due to the through holes, enabling a high extensibility for the sensor to be achieved.

Detection mechanism

A steering wheel including: a detecting portion wound on a base portion that has a concave groove portion, the detecting portion being configured to detect contact of a person; an electrode that is sheet-shaped, the electrode structuring the detecting portion; and a convex portion formed at a side of the concave groove portion of the electrode, the convex portion projecting-out in a width direction of the electrode.

Steering wheel

There is provided a steering wheel including (1) a resin body made of resin, (2) a decorative body that is provided separately from the resin body, and (3) a placement member that is disposed between the resin body and the decorative body and that is moved by the decorative body when the decorative body has been relatively displaced.

A steering wheel structure, comprising: an internal member provided inside a vehicle steering wheel; a covering member, adhered to a surface of the internal member and covering the internal member; a first concave-convex portion, provided at the surface of the internal member and disposed in a predetermined pattern thereon; and a second concave-convex portion, provided at surfaces of the first concave-convex portion, is provided.
