The present invention provides an outdoor water heater () having a lower chamber () located in a cabinet () which substantially sealingly encloses a naturally aspirated or natural draught burner, a combustion chamber, a heat exchanger (), a flue () for conveying combustion gases from the burner (), the flue () extending away from the heat exchanger () and passing through a middle chamber () located above the lower chamber (), the flue () not opening into the middle chamber () and opening into an upper chamber () which has two opposed openings (), the upper chamber () and middle chamber () being substantially sealed with respect to each other to prevent combustion gas flow between the middle chamber () and the upper chamber (), and wherein the middle chamber () has divider formations () separating one side of the middle chamber () from an opposed side of the middle chamber (), whereby the divider formations () direct air flowing from one side of the middle chamber () to pass downwardly into the lower chamber () on one side then upwardly out of the lower chamber () to exit the middle chamber () on the other or opposite side.

Flue arrangement

A rich-lean burner includes an inner cylinder to which lean gas, which is a mixture of gas and combustion air, is supplied, and an outer cylinder that is coaxially disposed around the inner cylinder such that rich gas, which is a mixture of gas and combustion air, is supplied between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. A burner head, which has small holes and whose diameter decreases toward the leading end, is provided on an opening of the inner cylinder. The burner head is obtained by forming a perforated metal, in which the small holes are arranged in a zigzag manner, into a conical shape. An interval between each of the small holes is two to three times the diameter of the small holes. The total area of the small holes is larger than the area of an upper end opening of an upper inner cylinder.

Rich-lean burner

The object is to provide a burner capable of taking in sufficient primary air even though the size thereof is compact, and capable of being used as an all-primary air burner. A burner includes a mixing pipe to which a fuel gas and combustion air are supplied, a burner main body having a mixing chamber at a top end on a downstream side of the mixing pipe, and a burner head which is provided at an upper part of the burner main body while communicating with the mixing chamber and has first and second burner ports for ejecting mixed gas of the fuel gas and air for combustion mixed in the mixing chamber. The burner further includes an extension pipe in the burner main body protruding inside the mixing chamber being formed by extending the mixing pipe.

Burner

A water heater capable of suppressing an increase in the combustion air temperature exiting the heater and the generation of nitrogen oxide within an easy structure is provided. In the water heater, a burner is provided in a combustion chamber which is below a hot water storage chamber that is an all primary air burner which takes in the air required for gas combustion, whereby the air is mostly primary air. In addition, the burner is provided with a supporting plate in the combustion chamber at a height that allows part of the burner head to be protruded into a space covered by a lower mirror plate.

Water heater

The object is to provide a water heater capable of efficiently transmitting radiation heat of a burner to hot water in a hot water storage chamber with improved thermal efficiency. In the water heater, a second restriction part having a shallower depth than a first restriction part is arranged along a peripheral edge of a lower mirror plate of a hot water storage chamber with a protrusion part protruding in a ring shape toward the center side of the lower mirror plate. The protrusion part is further arranged between the first restriction part and the second restriction part, and a burner is positioned so that the burner combustion surface faces the protrusion part.
