A liquid ejecting device includes a base portion, a liquid ejecting portion movably provided at the base portion, a medium supporting portion provided at the base portion and configured to support a printing medium in a printing region where the liquid ejecting portion performs printing, and a maintenance portion disposed in a region on the +X direction side of the printing region in the X-axis direction in the base portion. The maintenance portion includes a moisturizing portion that can form a closed space to which nozzle opens, a cleaning portion that can forcibly discharge liquid from the nozzle, and a wiper that can wipe a nozzle surface where the nozzle is provided. The moisturizing portion, the cleaning portion and the wiper are disposed side by side in the Y-axis direction.

An exterior body for storing a liquid storage body including a first main film, a second main film, and a first side film that define an interior space containing a liquid, the first side film having a gusset portion having a fold, the exterior body including an outer shell that forms a storage space storing the liquid storage body, and a pressing portion that is provided in the outer shell, that presses the first side film, and that bend the gusset portion inward.

The liquid container includes: a container main body including a containment chamber containing a liquid and has some walls including a front-end wall, a rear-end wall, and an upper-surface wall; a liquid outlet connected to a liquid-consuming device to flow out the liquid from the containment chamber to the liquid-consuming device; a liquid inlet on the upper-surface wall at a position closer to the rear-end wall and accepts injection of the liquid from outside of the container main body into the containment chamber; and a visual recognition portion that is provided on the rear-end wall and is see-through so that a position of a liquid surface of the liquid in the containment chamber is recognizable. The rear-end wall has scale marks as indexes of an amount of the liquid in the containment chamber on an outer wall surface and an inner wall surface.

There is provided with a cartridge comprising a liquid supply portion; a contact portion that is located on a +Z-axis direction side of the liquid supply portion and that is arranged to contact with an electrical connecting element; and a positioning structure that is located between the liquid supply portion and the contact portion in a Z-axis direction. The liquid supply portion is configured to receive a first external force in a &#x2212;Y-axis direction from the liquid introducing structure when the liquid supply portion is connected with the liquid introducing structure. The contact portion is configured to receive a second external force in a direction including a &#x2212;Y-axis direction component from the electrical connecting element when the contact portion comes into contact with the electrical connecting element. This configuration suppresses position misalignment of the cartridge or a connector to a mounting structure.

A detachable body for a printing apparatus enables positioning a board for electrical connection to a printing apparatus, while also reducing manufacturing cost. The detachable body for a printing apparatus includes a case that is mounted to and detached from a printing apparatus that performs printing on a sheet, and a board that is attached to an attachment surface that is a surface of the case, and that is electrically connected to the printing apparatus by coming into contact with detachable body-side contacts provided on the printing apparatus when the case is mounted to the printing apparatus. The attachment surface of the case is provided with an attaching portion to which the board is attached. The attaching portion surrounds the board and positions the board in a direction along the attachment surface of the case by coming into contact with peripheral edges of the board.

Ink storage attachment

A liquid holding container having an ink pack constituted by a sheet member, capable of housing ink inside, a flow path member extending through the sheet member, between the outside and inside of the ink pack, and having a flow path capable of delivering ink from the inside to the outside of the ink pack, and a filter provided in the flow path member inside the ink pack. The flow path member and the sheet member are joined, and the flow path extends further to the inside of the ink pack than the end part which is the junction part at the position of the sheet member joined with the flow path member. At the flow path member, the filter is provided at a site further to the inside of the ink pack than the junction part.

Liquid holding container

Provided is a liquid container that is able to prevent or suppress spilling of a liquid that is poured into an opening part. An ink cartridge has a first wall part defining a rear end of the ink cartridge and a second wall part extending on a forward side +X from an upper edge of the first wall part. An ink inlet port that receives ink for refilling is formed in the second wall part. Ink is poured into the ink inlet port from the first wall part side. The ink inlet port has a length dimension in the front-rear direction X that is longer than in the width direction Y, and thus readily receives ink that is poured therein.

A liquid containermountable to a printing apparatusthat performs printing by discharging a liquid and capable of storing a liquid supplied in a pressurized state is provided with a liquid introduction partthrough which the liquid is introduced, a tankcapable of storing the liquid introduced from the liquid introduction part, and a liquid supply partthat supplies the liquid in the tankto a printing apparatus, and the tankis molded to have flexibility.

In the liquid container which includes the detection member having a liquid outlet, a contact portion, and an input receiving unit, the liquid outlet and the input receiving unit of the detection member are provided at a position apart from each other on the same bottom surface, and the contact portion is provided in the opposite side to the side where the input receiving unit is provided. It is possible to suppress foreign substances from becoming attached to the input section by providing the input receiving unit at the position apart from the any one of the liquid outlet and the contact portion since the liquid outlet and the contact portion have a section where foreign substances (liquid and chips) are easily generated.

An object is to provide a technology capable of decreasing the possibility that bubbles may reach a first member. A method of manufacturing a liquid container includes (a) a process of preparing a liquid container, (b) a process of storing liquid in a first storage chamber by injecting the liquid from the downstream side of the first storage chamber based on a flow direction of a fluid from an atmosphere opening port to a supply port.

An ink cartridge for use in a printer includes a second ink chamber in which a liquid can be stored, an ink flow path that leads the ink to an ink supply port through which the ink is supplied from the second ink chamber to outside, and a prism unit disposed in the ink flow path configured to detect an amount of the ink inside. A portion of the ink flow path downstream of the prism unit is defined by a first wall and a first seal film, and the first wall is lower than a second wall constituting the second ink chamber.

A liquid container includes a liquid drain port, a detection chamber, a detection element, a suction portion and a projecting part. The liquid drain port is configured and arranged to supply a liquid to a liquid ejection apparatus. The detection chamber has a bottom surface and a first side wall surface erected from the bottom surface. The detection element is disposed in the detection chamber, and configured and arranged to detect whether or not liquid exists inside the detection chamber. The suction port is provided to the first side wall surface of the detection chamber so that the liquid inside the detection chamber is fed to the liquid drain port via the suction port. The projecting part is provided on the first side wall surface and surrounds at least a part of the suction port.
