A dose distribution calculation device of the invention is characterized by including: a beam information storing unit (a measured energy storing unit, a measured electric-charge storing unit, a measured beam-central axis storing unit), in which, when particle beam information of a particle beam generated by a particle beam therapy system is measured by a measuring device in confirmative radiation in which the particle beam is radiated to a phantom as a substitute for a treatment target, the thus-measured particle beam information is stored; and a total dose calculation unit for calculating a radiation dose distribution (a total dose distribution) on the basis of the measured particle beam information (a measured energy, a measured beam quantity (a measured number of electric charges), a measured position of beam central axis).

Magnetic rotational-angle detector

A core is divided by alternately arranging plural magnetic material portions and plural non-magnetic material portions in a circumferential direction of the core through which a primary conductor penetrates. An apparatus for measuring absorption dose distribution may be used for radiotherapy, such as intensity modulated radiotherapy and radiosurgery. In the apparatus, measurement or evaluation of the distribution of the radiated dose within a phantom can be achieved accurately and in a relatively short length of time. The apparatus includes a phantom with a plastic plate scintillator having a thickness within the range of 0.15 to 1 mm and plastic blocks sandwiching the plastic scintillator, and an image analyzer. At least one of the plastic blocks is transparent and the image analyzer measures a pattern of intensity distribution of light emitted from the plastic scintillator when the phantom is irradiated.

Apparatus for measuring absorption dose distribution

An intensity modulated radio therapy (IMRT) dosimeter measuring a three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in a transparent plastic phantom readily and accurately. In the IMRT dosimeter, radiation beams are directed to a phantom assembly having a scintillation fiber block sandwiched between two blocks of the phantom. As an intensity of light proportional to the radiation beam is emitted from one side of the scintillation fiber block, its profile is measured by an image sensor. Then, the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution is obtained from the light intensity distribution data. By summing the three-dimensional absorption dose distribution data measured with the radiation beam at different angles, an integrated three-dimensional absorption dose distribution in the phantom can be calculated readily and accurately.
