In an oil filler cap, a valve part of a valve device is arranged in a range between a lower end of a screw part that is screwed to an oil filler opening part in a cap body and a seal surface that is arranged at a higher position than the screw part, a ventilation passage part is arranged above the valve part, and a ratchet mechanism is arranged on an outer circumferential side of the ventilation passage part.

A handling performance is improved by a fuel tank fitting structure. A fuel tank is mounted to a vehicle body frame at three points: a first fixed section with a bolt and two second fixed sections with two bolts. A grommet provided in the first fixed section has an interference. Each of the second fixed sections has a fitting clearance between a collar and the grommet, and an axial clearance between the collar and the grommet. These clearances enable the grommet without an interference and the fuel tank to relatively movable to the vehicle body frame. The fuel tank and a vehicle body thus have different behaviors during cornering, thereby obtaining reduced inertial weight and light handling.

Saddle type vehicle

A silencer for a motorcycle has a front cup which has a tapered tubular shape, a center sleeve which is connected to the front cup, and a tail cup which is connected to the center sleeve. Since the front cup has a tapered tubular shape, the front cup is arranged such that a front end of the front cup is positioned in the vicinity of a main frame. A distal end of the silencer can be shifted frontward in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle compared to a silencer of a prior art. As a result, a length of the silencer can be increased while avoiding interference between the silencer and legs of a rider and hence, silencing performance of the silencer can be enhanced. Since the distal end of the silencer can be shifted frontward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the concentration of a mass can be acquired.
