An electronic apparatus comprises a display housing supported by a main unit, and a display panel contained in the display housing. The display housing has a supporting wall and an upper wall. The display housing contains an antenna board. The antenna board is interposed between the display panel and the supporting wall, and has an antenna portion which projects outside the display housing and pierces through the upper wall. A nonconductive cover which covers the antenna portion is attached to the upper wall of the display housing.

One aspect of an embodiment of the invention provides an apparatus for interlocking a display housing to a display support member. The apparatus comprises a lever, a first fastener and a second fastener. The first fastener is pivotally coupled to one end of the lever. The second fastener, however, is coupled to the other end of the lever. The second fastener engages a display support member when the lever is placed in a first state and disengages from the display support member when the lever is placed in a second state. The adjustment of the lever to move from a first state to a second state is in response to an event performed on the first fastener.

Interlocking mechanism for a display

An electronic apparatus has a hinge mechanism, which connects a main unit and a display unit. A first shaft of the hinge mechanism connects the display unit to the main unit such that the display unit is rotatable between a closed position where the display unit overlies the main unit and an open position where the display unit is raised up from the main unit. A second shaft of the hinge mechanism is perpendicular to the first shaft and connects the display unit to the main unit so as to be rotatable in a circumferential direction of the second shaft. The main unit has a braking mechanism, which generates braking force that limits rotation of the display unit between the closed position and the open position. The display unit has an engagement member, which is removaly engaged with the braking mechanism.

One aspect of an embodiment of the display support mechanism for rotating a display housing having a flat panel display about a horizontal axis of rotation. The display support mechanism comprises a first member and a second member. The first member is pivotally coupled to a back display panel of the display housing. The second member is pivotally coupled to the back display panel of the display housing. The second member is substantially coplanar to the first member when the display housing is placed in a first position by rotating the display housing about a horizontal axis. When the display housing is placed in a second position, the second member becomes substantially in parallel with the first member.

An electronic apparatus has a first housing, a second housing, a hinge mechanism and an interlocking mechanism. The hinge mechanism couples the first and second housings so that the housings are relatively rotated about first and second axes intersected with each other. An interlocking mechanism decreases a rotational resistance between the first and second housings about one of the two axes, while the first and second housing are relatively situated to each other at a position of the rotation about the other axis.

The cooling unit includes a heat sink thermally connected to the heat-generating component, a first air passage for guiding air outside the housing to the heat sink and guiding air heated by heat exchange with the heat sink to the outside of the housing, and a second air passage for guiding air within the housing to the outside of the housing.

Antenna elements for a wireless unit provided in a housing body are sandwiched between a housing base and a housing cover. The size and thickness of the apparatus housing are thus reduced, and the structure of installing the antenna elements is simplified into an economically advantageous structure. It is hence possible to realize an antenna unit with stable and high performance without being electromagnetically influenced by components installed in the housing.

The heat diffusing member has a thermal conductivity higher than the second heat conducting member and area dimensions greater than the heat generating component.

A blower is provided for effectively cooling heat generating parts in a casing of a personal computer and so on, with a heat sink apparatus using the blower and an electronic equipment using the heat sink apparatus. The blower comprises a fan and an outer frame. The outer frame of the fan is made of a highly thermally conductive material such as aluminum. A radiation board is fixed to or formed integrally with a lower surface of the outer frame. Heat generated from a heat generating device is conveyed through the radiation board to the outer frame. The blower is provided with radiation fins so that the heat conveyed to the outer frame is transferred to the radiation fins as well.

The electronic apparatus comprises a housing including a heat generating component and a heat sink. The housing can be displaced between a first usage form in which a ventilation port is set maintained in a standard opening shape and a second usage form in which the ventilation port is expanded to be larger than the standard opening shape. The heat sink has a plurality of heat radiation fins. The heat radiation range of the heat radiation fins expands when the housing is displaced from the first usage form to the second usage form and is reduced when the housing is displaced from the second usage form to the first usage form.

A method of remotely controlling the direction of a camera which is rotatively supported by a remote control device. Several remote control devices are coupled by a communication line. The communication line is used both for transmitting image information and for transmitting instruction information. An input instruction can be input to a first remote control device directly at the first side or transmitted through the communication line from a second remote side. The camera is rotated at a one speed if the instruction is received directly from the first side, or at a second, slower speed if the instruction is transmitted through the communication line from the second remote side.
