Provided are a photocatalyst electrode, an artificial photosynthesis module, and an artificial photosynthesis device that have low electrical resistance, even in a case where the area is increased, in a case where a transparent conductive layer is used. The photocatalyst electrode is a photocatalyst electrode that has a substrate, a transparent conductive layer, a photocatalyst layer, and a linear metal electrical conductor, and splits water with light to produce a gas. The substrate, the transparent conductive layer, and the photocatalyst layer are laminated in this order, and the linear metal electrical conductor is in contact with the transparent conductive layer. The artificial photosynthesis module has the oxygen evolution electrode that splits the water with the light to produce oxygen, and a hydrogen evolution electrode that splits the water with the light to produce hydrogen. The oxygen evolution electrode and the hydrogen evolution electrode are disposed in series in a traveling direction of the light. At least one of the oxygen evolution electrode or the hydrogen evolution electrode has the configuration of the above-described photocatalyst electrode. The artificial photosynthesis device has the artificial photosynthesis module, and circulates and utilizes water.

Artificial photosynthesis module

In an artificial photosynthesis module, a plurality of first electrode portions of a hydrogen generation electrode are disposed side by side with a gap, and each of a plurality of second electrode portions of an oxygen generation electrode is disposed at a gap between the first electrode portions of the hydrogen generation electrode as seen from the hydrogen generation electrode side with respect to the diaphragm. A first photocatalyst layer of at least one first electrode portion of the hydrogen generation electrode or a second photocatalyst layer of at least one of the second electrode portions of the oxygen generation electrode is tilted with respect to a flow direction of an electrolytic aqueous solution, or a projecting part is provided on a surface of the first photocatalyst layer of at least one first electrode portion of the hydrogen generation electrode or a surface of the second photocatalyst layer of at least one second electrode portion of the oxygen generation electrode.

An image forming apparatus includes a forming unit configured to form a latent electrostatic image on a latent electrostatic image bearing member based on a digital image; a developing unit configured to develop the latent electrostatic image with a toner to form a visible image; a transferring unit configured to transfer the visible image to one of an electrophotographic image receiving roll and an electrophotographic image receiving sheet; and a smoothing and fixing unit configured to smooth and fix the transferred image on one of the electrophotographic image receiving roll and the electrophotographic image receiving sheet to thereby form a series of electrophotographic prints and an electrophotographic print. In the apparatus, the hardware including the media, printer and unit for aftertreatment optimally matches with the toner, and the apparatus can produce high-quality images equal to silver-halide photographs.

Image forming apparatus, image forming system, and electrophotographic print

Photosensitive material includes a support, and a photosensitive layer overlaid thereon and containing resin. A photosensitive layer laminator transfers the photosensitive layer from the photosensitive material to a glass substrate. In the photosensitive layer laminator, heat/pressure rollers apply the photosensitive layer to a transfer region on the substrate with heat and pressure. A photosensitive material feeder transports first and second photosensitive materials to the substrate set at the heat/pressure rollers. The first and second photosensitive materials have a width smaller than a width of the transfer region, and are disposed to extend along one another. Furthermore, a tension adjuster adjusts tension applied to the first and second photosensitive materials in an upstream direction from the heat/pressure rollers.

Photosensitive layer laminator and photosensitive layer laminating method

A laminator for lamination to a substrate by use of continuous laminated material is provided. The laminated material includes a support, and a photosensitive transfer layer overlaid on the support. A heat/pressure roller attaches the laminated material to the substrate with heat and pressure with the transfer layer opposed to the substrate. A cooler cools the substrate with the laminated material. A peeler peels the support from the transfer layer on the substrate from the cooler, to transfer the transfer layer to the substrate.

Laminator and laminating method for lamination to substrate

A film applying apparatus includes a presser roll reciprocally movable toward and away from the leading end portion of a tacking member to force an adhesive tape against a cover film of the laminated film while the laminated film is held by suction on a surface at the leading end portion of the tacking member. The surface of the tacking member includes a first and a second beveled surface. When the presser roll is advanced by a presser roll actuating device, it rolls on from the first beveled surface to a leading end of the second beveled surface during which time the adhesive tape is firmly adhered to the cover film. Then the presser roll is retracted and, at the same time, the adhesive tape is pulled by an adhesive-tape pullback device in a direction away from the tacking member whereupon the cover film adhered to the adhesive tape is separated from the laminated film. After the tacking is completed, a film tensioning device is driven to pull the laminated film backward. In this instance, since a slackening device is activated to slack the adhesive tape and the cover film adhered thereto, the laminated film can be readily pulled backward.

Film applying apparatus

A laminator for laminating a film sheet on a surface of a substrate comprises: a pressure roller; a conveyor roller for supplying a substrate to the pressure roller; a film sheet-supplier which is reciprocally movable up and down for attaching a front end of a continuous flexible film sheet onto the front end of the surface of the substrate which has been moved by the conveyor roller and is stopped in front of the pressure roller; and a film sheet end-holder which is movable forward and backward and has on its front end a gas blowing face having a curve corresponding to the curve of the surface of the pressure roller so as to hold the film sheet in contact with the surface of the pressure roller.

Laminator for laminating film sheet on substrate

A system for the preparation of a light-sensitive material comprising a substrate, a light-sensitive layer and a base film which comprises a roller for providing a continuous light-sensitive sheet comprising the base film, the light-sensitive layer and a protective film; means for cutting the light-sensitive layer and protective layer in the traverse direction; fixing means for temporarily fixing the sheet; a roller for providing an adhesive tape for removing the protective film; the adhesive tape-collecting roller; a bar for pressing the adhesive tape by its tip to the front end of the light-sensitive sheet and to press the front end against the bottom of the fixing means and peeling the protective film from the sheet; a dancer roll; light-sensitive sheet cutting means; substrate supplying means; and heat rollers for laminating the base film and light-sensitive layer on the. substrate.

System for preparation of light-sensitive material

A process for laminating a photosensitive-layer which includes providing (A) a base having a laminating region and a non-laminating region, and (B) a support having thereon, in order, a photosensitive layer and a protective film, where part of the protective film corresponds to the laminating region and part of the protective film corresponds to the non-laminating region, removing the part of the protective film which corresponds to the laminating region from the photosensitive layer such that the photosensitive layer can be laminated to the base in the laminating region, feeding the base and the support having thereon the photosensitive layer from which protective film has been removed to a nip between a pair of heated pressure rollers, passing the base and photosensitive-layer-covered support forward through the rollers while the base and photosensitive-layer-covered support are being nipped and hot-pressed by the rollers, with the photosensitive layer being in contact with the laminating region of the base to laminate the photosensitive layer to the base, and then peeling the support from the photosensitive layer, wherein the removal of protective film from the photosensitive layer is conducted in such a manner that the part of the protective film which corresponds to the non-laminating region of the base is left on the photosensitive layer.
