A resin composition, excellent in a physical property balance between chemical resistance and impact strength, obtained by mixing at least one graft copolymer selected from the group consisting of a graft copolymer in which a copolymer rubber of an alkyl acrylate and a conjugated diene is used, a graft copolymer in which a rubber prepared by seed rubber polymerizing an alkyl acrylate with a conjugated diene rubber is used and a graft copolymer in which a rubber prepared by seed rubber polymerizing an alkyl acrylate with a polyorganosiloxane rubber is used, with a graft copolymer in which a conjugated diene rubber is used, and optionally with a rigid thermoplastic resin.

A polyarylene sulfide resin composition comprising 60-99 parts by weight of a polyarylenesulfide resin (A), 40-1 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane graft copolymer (B) prepared by grafting a vinyl monomer on a polyorganosiloxane rubber having a degree of swelling in a range of 3-50 measured using toluene as a solvent and an average particle size in a range of 0.15 .mu.m-0.5 .mu.m and being copolymerized with a graft-linking agent, where the total amount of the (A) component and the (B) component is 100 parts by weight, and 0-150 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler (C). A polyarylene sulfide resin composition according to the present invention is excellent in impact resistance, heat resistance, mechanical strength and moldability and useful for an engineering plastic.

A polyarylene sulfide resin composition comprising a compound obtained by mixing 60-99 parts by weight of a polyarylene sulfide resin (A), 40-1 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane rubber (B), 0.01-10 parts by weight of an organosilane compound having at least one epoxy group and at least one alkoxy group bonded directly to a silicon atom (C) and 0-300% by weight of a reinforcing filler (D) based on the total weight of the components (A), (B) and (C) where the total amount of the components (A) and (B) is 100 parts by weight. The polyarylene sulfide resin composition is excellent in impact resistance, heat resistance, mechanical strength, moldability and the like.

A thermoplastic resin composition comprising: (A) at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a polyester resin and a polycarbonate resin, and (B) an aromatic polyester-polyorganosiloxane block copolymer, a weight ratio of (A) to (B) (=A/B) being 10/90 to 90/10. With the addition of the copolymer (B), impact strength of the composition can be improved without impairing the properties of the resin (A).

Disclosed is a resin composition comprised of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polymer containing at least 10% by weight of methacrylimide units and (B) 0.5 to 20 parts by weight of a specific polyhydric alcohol compound and/or a specific compound having polyoxyethylene segments. This resin composition provides a shaped article having a good antistatic property and heat resistance.

Disclosed is a thermoplastic polyester resin composition, which comprises (A) 99-60 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin, (B) 1-40 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane rubber, (C) 0.01-10 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the components (A) and (B), of an organic silane compound having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of an epoxy group, and isocyanate group and an amino group, and (D) 0-300 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the components (A) and (B), of a reinforcing filler. This composition results in a shaped article having an improved impact resistance while retaining good heat stability and weatherability inherently possessed by the thermoplastic polyester.
