Electric power unit and working machine

The present invention provides a motor apparatus having a motor, comprising: a fan that is rotatably supported by a shaft member of the motor, and sends, in a centrifugal direction by rotation, gas taken from an axial direction of the shaft member; and a cover member that covers the fan so as to allow the gas sent in the centrifugal direction from the fan to flow along an outer surface of the motor, wherein the cover member has a blowout port that blows out some of the gas sent in the centrifugal direction from the fan in the centrifugal direction to cool an external mechanism of the motor apparatus.

Motor apparatus, electric power unit, and working machine

An engine working machine that has an electronically controlled fuel injection system and a fuel tank disposed in an upper portion. The capacity of the fuel tank is effectively used and a complex structure is prevented while reducing the length of the fuel piping. An engine is disposed in a lower portion, and a fuel tank is disposed above the engine. A fuel pump is mounted on a bottom outside surface of the fuel tank, and disposed projecting on a side portion of the crankcase. An extended box is provided on a bottom surface of the fuel tank, and the fuel pump is mounted with a filter and a fuel intake port located inside the extended box. The fuel pump is housed in a pump case that is fixed to a bottom surface of the extended box.

Engine working machine

An engine muffler includes a cylindrical muffler body whose interior is partitioned by at least one partition plate in a longitudinal direction of the muffler body into a plurality of expansion chambers. The muffler body is constructed of a plurality of divided muffler body members divided from each other in the longitudinal direction at the position of the partition plate, and a gap is provided between opposed end portions of the divided muffler body members. The partition plate has an annular section held in fitting engagement with the inner peripheral surface of at least one of the opposed end portions, and it is positioned in such a manner as to close the gap. The opposed end portions are welded, from a radially outward direction, to the outer peripheral surface of the annular section along their respective entire perimeters.

Engine muffler

A work machine handle device having a foldable handle is disclosed. As the handle is to be changed from a folded-up state to a use state, the handle is turned about a frame as a turning fulcrum. An actuating protuberance provided integrally to a turning member of a clamp body is pushed by a handle engaging/disengaging part provided to a front end of the handle, and the turning member is caused to turn. The handle engaging/disengaging part is held from either side and automatically restrained by a clamp mechanism. When the handle is changed from the use state to the folded-up state, a restraining mechanism is operated to release the engagement between the restraining mechanism and a distal end of the turning member. The turning member is turned by a return force of a spring provided to the clamp body, the handle engaging/disengaging part ceases to be restrained, and the handle can be folded up.

Handle device of work machine

A work machine handle device includes a handle foldable relative to a frame. The frame has a handle support part about which the handle turns. The handle intersects the handle support part. Left and right attachment parts, which are portions where the handle intersects the handle support part, are supported by a handle turning mechanism with suitable pressure.

An engine-driven power generator apparatus, which includes, within a case, an engine and a power generator drivable with the engine, and in which an operation panel is provided on a front cover and an air intake louver for introducing air into the case is provided within the case, includes: a waterproof cover covering the operation panel and the air intake louver; an air guide passage of a labyrinth shape provided within the waterproof cover and communicating the outside of the waterproof cover with the air intake louver; and a brush-shaped water separation unit provided in the air guide passage and having a plurality of pins projecting in a direction intersecting flows of air in the air guide passage.

Engine driven power generator apparatus

A steering apparatus whereby the steering load is equal even when the left and right steering angles are large when an outboard motor is steered to the left and right via a swivel shaft. A connecting hole of a steering plate is provided at a position spaced from a center line of the steering plate so that equal angles are formed by a first straight line, joining the center of the swivel shaft and the connecting hole, and a second straight line, joining the connecting hole and a link hole formed in a steering rod.

Steering apparatus for outboard motor

Outboard engine body is mounted via a swivel shaft to a stern bracket. Angle sensor, provided on the stern bracket, includes a contact having a maximum operating angle set to be not greater than half of a maximum steered angle of the engine body, and it outputs detection information indicative of an operating angle of the contact. Curved member is provided on the engine body and normally held in engagement with the contact, and it has a continuously varying radius of curvature from the central axis of the swivel shaft, so that the contact varies in operating angle while sliding along a curved outer peripheral surface of the curved member in response to steering operation. Thus, a steered angle is determined on the basis of the detection information from the angle sensor.

Outboard engine unit

A system for controlling the steering of an outboard motor mounted on a stern of a boat and having an internal combustion engine to power a propeller, which includes an actuator which steers the outboard motor relative to the boat, a left steer stop which mechanically stops leftward steering of the outboard motor, a right steer stop which mechanically stops rightward steering of the outboard motor, a rudder angle sensor which produces an output indicating a rudder angle of the outboard motor; and a maximum rudder angle memorizer which memorizes the output of the rudder angle sensor as a maximum leftward rudder angle of the outboard motor when the outboard motor is mechanically stopped by the left steer stop, and memorizes the output of the rudder angle sensor as a maximum rightward rudder angle of the outboard motor when the outboard motor is mechanically stopped by the right steer stop.

Outboard motor control system

In an outboard motor shift control system to change the shift position by controlling the supply of current to an electric shift motor for driving a shift mechanism, a detent mechanism is equipped for constraining the operation of the shift mechanism and holding the shift position once the shift position has been established, and the supply of current to the shift motor is discontinued upon detection that the shift position has been established. This configuration makes it possible to minimize the power consumption of the shift motor and ensure secure holding of the established shift position.

Outboard motor shift control system

An outboard motor steering system includes a hydraulic fluid supply mechanism connected to the steering hydraulic cylinder to supply hydraulic fluid thereto disposed in a space formed between the stern brackets and the swivel case. In other words, since the hydraulic fluid supply mechanism is incorporated into the outboard motor as a unit, the structure can be made simpler than that of the related art and the number of parts in the entire system can be reduced and moreover the work of installation into the boat's hull can be simplified. Also, operating efficiency is improved for an electric motor serving as the source of driving force for a hydraulic pump that supplies hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder used for steering, and power consumption is reduced.

Outboard motor steering system

In an outboard motor control system, a position of a clutch (moved by an actuator) is memorized as a neutral position when a neutral switch produces an ON signal and the clutch position corresponding to a forward position where the clutch engages with a forward gear or a reverse position where the clutch engages with a reverse gear is determined based on the memorized position. With this, the clutch can be accurately shifted to the positions where the forward, neutral and reverse shift positions are established, thereby preventing shifting errors. Similarly, by memorizing rudder angle sensor outputs when the outboard motor is mechanically stopped by left and right steer stops as maximum leftward or rightward rudder angles, desired values for control purposes when steering the outboard motor to the maximum rudder angles can be determined as values that take the unit-specific properties of the outboard motor into account.

In an outboard motor steering control system having a plurality of outboard motors each mounted on a stern of a boat by a shaft to be movable by an outboard motor actuator relative to the boat and each having an internal combustion engine and a propeller powered by the engine to propel the boat, a tie-bar motor (actuator) is operated such that the outboard motors can be finely operated synchronously to make desired steering angles finely, i.e., to achieve the desired steering angles in response to a detected rotation angle of a steering wheel. Also outboard motor actuators are individually operated to regulate the relative angles between the outboard motors, thereby enhancing both straight course-holding performance and turning performance.

Outboard motor steering control system

In an outboard motor, an extension case (member constituting a frame of the outboard motor) has the natural frequency (resonance frequency) of higher than the vibration frequency produced when the engine operates at maximum speed. Since this configuration prevents the extension case from resonating during operation of the outboard motor, noise (more specifically, noise produced by the outboard motor) propagated to the outside can be reduced.
