An electric power tool includes a body, a driver, a manipulation section, a load sensor, and a controller. To the body, a tool is attachable. The driver is configured to drive the tool to rotate, the tool being attached to the body. The manipulation section is configured to receive an operation for causing operation of the driver. The load sensor is configured to measure a load caused when the driver operates. The controller is configured to: set an upper limit value of a rotation speed of the driver in accordance with the load measured by the load sensor; and control driving of the driver to rotate based on the upper limit value.

Electric power tool

A mode setting unit sets a parameter setting mode or a work mode. A parameter setting unit sets a plurality of parameter values in the parameter setting mode. A torque estimation unit calculates a tightening torque value by using a detection result from an impact detection unit. In a work mode, a control unit stops a rotation of a motor based on the plurality of parameter values set by the parameter setting unit and in accordance with the tightening torque value calculated by the torque estimation unit. In the parameter setting mode, a work information storage unit stores the tightening torque value calculated by the torque estimation unit during a tightening work according to a user operation, and the parameter setting unit sets the plurality of parameter values based on the tightening torque value stored in the work information storage unit.

Impact rotary tool

An impact rotary tool includes: an impact mechanism that applies stroke impact to an output shaft by an output from a motor; a stroke detector that detects a stroke by the impact mechanism; a controller that stops rotation of the motor based on the detection result by the stroke detector; and a voltage detector that detects a voltage in the stroke detector. The controller determines whether the stroke detector has an abnormality based on the voltage detected by the voltage detector while the motor is not rotating. An informing unit informs a user that an abnormality is occurring when the controller determines an abnormality in the stroke detector.

An impact rotary tool comprises a driving source that is supplied with power from a battery pack and that rotates a hammer via a drive shaft, and a controlling unit that controls the driving source. The controlling unit controls the driving source so that the striking force is limited by PWM control when the battery pack voltage is high and the striking force is maintained even when the battery pack voltage decreases.

An impact rotation tool includes a motor, a switching element that performs a switching operation based on a PWM control signal, and a controller that performs PWM control on the motor with the switching operation of the switching element. The controller includes a PWM control unit that generates the PWM control signal, an impact detector that detects whether or not an impact has been generated, and a control frequency switch unit that selects a control frequency of the PWM control signal from a first control frequency, which is in an audible range, and a second control frequency, which is higher than the frequency in the audible range. The controller outputs a PWM control signal having the second frequency when detecting that an impact has not been generated and outputs a PWM control signal having the first frequency when detecting that an impact has been generated.

Impact rotation tool

An electric power tool includes a motor having a drive shaft, a tool output shaft rotated by rotational force of the drive shaft, a clutch unit that connects or disconnects a torque transmission line between the drive shaft and the tool output shaft according to load torque of the tool output shaft, a load detector that outputs a load torque signal in accordance with the load torque of the tool output shaft, and a control unit that performs a rising detection mode, which detects rising of the load torque signal to stop rotation of the motor, and a falling detection mode, which detects falling of the load torque signal to stop rotation of the motor. The control unit selects the rising detection mode or the falling detection mode according to a usage condition signal indicating a usage condition of the electric power tool.

An electric tool comprises a removable battery packas a power supply, a motor M as a power source, a drive unit being driven by said motor, a switch SW as an operation input unit, and a control circuit CPU controlling the driving of said motor according to the operation of said switch. The electric tool further comprises a power supply connection unit that enables a plurality of battery pack types, which have different rated output voltages, to be selectively connected, and an identification means that identifies the type of said battery pack that has been connected. Said control circuit is configured to control an output of said motor based on identification information for the type of said battery pack that has been connected, provided by said identification means.

Electric tool

A brushless motor driving circuit includes a battery for supplying a power to the brushless motor driving circuit; a driver circuit; a bridge circuit including a plurality of N-channel FETs; a control unit for rotating a brushless motor by switching the bridge circuit through the driver circuit based on a rotor position detection signal; a floating voltage generator for applying a voltage to a first group of the FETs of the bridge circuit; and a converter which is powered from the battery. The converter has an output connected to an input of the floating voltage generator for the first group of the FETs of the bridge circuit and an input of the driver circuit for a second group of the FETs of the bridge circuit to dedicatedly supply a power to gates of the FETs, and the control unit is powered from the battery without using the converter.

Brushless motor driving circuit

A battery pack which is detachably connected to a charger and charged by connecting thereto, includes a battery assembly including a plurality of secondary batteries serially connected; a pair of power terminals connected to a negative and a positive electrode of the battery assembly, respectively; a control circuit adapted to individually detect voltages across respective secondary batteries and output a charge control signal to the charger when the detected voltages exceed a predetermined value; a signal terminal adapted to output the charge control signal to the charger; and a temperature measurement element for detecting a temperature of the battery assembly. Further, the control circuit changes the predetermined value to be compared with the detected voltages based on the detected temperature of the temperature measurement element.

Battery pack

A power tool includes a driving unit for performing screw tightening operations; a motor for rotatably driving the driving unit; a trigger switch for turning on and off the motor; and a control circuit, accommodated in a main body of the power tool, for monitoring the screw tightening operations. The control circuit having a screw tightening completion detection unit for detecting completion of a screw tightening operation, a screw tightening count unit for counting the number of detected tightening operations, a screw tightening number setting unit for presetting the number of screws to be tightened, a screw tightening completion notifying unit for notifying completion of the screw tightening operations when the number of detected tightening operations reaches the preset number of screws.

Power tool

A charging device for use in charging plural types of secondary batteries includes a power source unit for supplying a charging current to an object secondary battery, a battery type signal receiving unit for receiving a battery type signal, a battery temperature signal receiving unit for receiving a battery temperature signal, a blowing unit for blowing an air to the secondary battery, a storage unit for storing reference judging temperatures for determination of charging-incongruent temperatures of the plural types of secondary batteries, in a matching relationship with the types of the secondary batteries, and a control unit. The control unit allows the blowing unit to perform a blowing operation, if the temperature of the secondary battery exceeds a reference judging temperature, and to stop the blowing operation, if otherwise.

Charging device and rechargeable power tool set

A power tool includes a driving unit for performing screw tightening operations; a motor for rotatably driving the driving unit; a rechargeable battery pack; a trigger switch for turning on and off the motor; and a control circuit, accommodated in a main body of the power tool, for monitoring the screw tightening operations. The control circuit has a screw tightening completion detection unit for detecting completion of a screw tightening operation, a screw tightening count unit for counting the number of detected tightening operations, a screw tightening number setting unit for presetting the number of screws to be tightened, a screw tightening completion notifying unit for notifying completion of the screw tightening operations when the number of detected tightening operations reaches the preset number. Further, the screw tightening number setting unit and the screw tightening completion notifying unit is disposed at a lower front portion of a grip portion.

Power tool having control means for monitoring screw tightening operations

A battery pack for a power tool of self-contained over-charge protection is proposed. The battery pack includes a battery stack composed of a plurality of series connected secondary cells, and a charge terminal connected through a charge current path to the battery stack for flowing a charge current from a charger. The battery pack includes an interrupter inserted in the charge current path, and an over-charge detector which detects a cell voltage across each of the secondary cells and actuates the interrupter to open the charge current path when any one of the cell voltages becomes higher than a predetermined threshold (V). Thus, even if the charger fails to limit the charge current, the battery pack can itself protect the secondary cells from being over-charged.

Rechargeable battery pack for a power tool having an interruptor for prevention of overcharging

An electric tool switch mechanism includes a trigger switch for operating to at least rotate or stop a DC motor; and a power switch connected between the DC motor and a battery power source and closed when a pressed amount of the trigger switch exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The mechanism further includes a switching device connected between the DC motor and the battery power source via the power switch; a control circuit for controlling to turn the switching device on/off using a desired on-duty when the pressed amount of the trigger switch exceeds the threshold value; and a stopping unit that is controlled by the trigger switch for forcibly turning the switching device off before the power switch is changed from on to off when the trigger switch is released.

Electric tool switch mechanism

An electrical apparatus includes an electrical apparatus main body and a battery pack. The electrical apparatus main body has a load, a manipulation switch, a power receiving electrode, a main body control unit for controlling the electric power supplied from the power receiving electrode in response to a manipulation of the manipulation switch, a signal generation unit for generating an on-manipulation signal if the manipulation switch is switched on, and a main body signal electrode for outputting the on-manipulation signal. The battery pack has a battery, a power supplying electrode, a battery control unit for controlling the electric power supplied from the battery to the power supplying electrode, a battery signal electrode for receiving the on-manipulation signal, and a power supplying unit for starting a power supply from the battery to the battery control unit when the battery signal electrode receives the on-manipulation signal.
